‘Welcome to Play OJO Online Casino, where nothing gets in the way of fun!’ That is the message that OJO print on their home page and it sets the tone for the website and slots experience here. OJO is bright and cheerful with pinks and purples dominating the color palette. You can dive in and watch a promotional video about the site from the home page or click directly to sign up or log in, and find a game of your choice within 1 click too.

OJO is cut above the competition in our opinion. This is not your average white label slot site like you see from Aspire Global or White Hat Gaming. Instead, it’s a bona fide brand in its own right. You might have even seen it on TV. That level of investment in marketing is reflected in the quality of the website, mobile app and the overall customer experience.

Finding Important Information

You can access all the important information about Play OJO from the footer including terms and bonus policy. There is a cool blog that tells you about upcoming promotions, recommends slots for you and explains useful gambling tips. And there is also a summary of banking options and a responsible gambling help page.

Sign Up and First Deposit Bonus

You can see the registration path in the screen shot below that I took before signing up. It’s a simple 3-step process. You’ll need all your personal details including your email and mobile number, and a chosen password and username. It’s clean, easy to understand and I was signed-up and ready to deposit in under 90 seconds.

As a UK player I was then able to deposit with my favourite payment service – Paypal – and start playing instantly. This deposit was also eligible for the 50 ‘wager free’ spins promotion too.

Account Pages

The account section of the Play OJO site is straight forward to navigate. I can do everything I need to from within one popup window. That includes deposits, withdrawals, viewing account history, editing personal information, uploading my KYC check documents and setting my own deposit and loss limits.

There is also a link to something called ‘Safe Mate’. This is special tool that collates your gambling stats from ALL Skill on Net sites over a selected time period. It shows your wins, losses, deposits and withdrawals. And also allows you to compare that with what it describes as ‘other similar players’.  It’s quite a useful summary tool that we haven’t seen on other sites. However, we advise against reading too much into your play compared with other players. We would recommend focusing on your own budget instead.

In short, it’s a treasure trove of great games, and perhaps with the exception of Casumo, Play OJO wipes the floor with the competition.

When you navigate to the Jackpots area of Play OJO you will see an aggregated total of all the progressive jackpots available. When we checked it was £59 million! There are 368 jackpot games in total including:

You can also use the filter menu to find ‘New’ games. There were 116 in the list when we checked. This is a good indication that OJO is keeping its lists well up to date. New titles included slots like Bugs Money by Reflex Gaming, Countess Cash by Gold Coin Studios and Pirots by ELK Studio.

Megaways Slots

OJO offers a big selection of 151 Megaways games. You can find these easily using the search function. This is one of the biggest Megaways lists we have seen and it includes classics like Bonanza Megaways from Big Time Gaming as well as newer titles like The Dog House Megaways from Pragmatic Play and Templar Tumble Megaways from Relax Gaming.

Slingo Games

If you are a fan of Slingo then you can pick from more than 50 of the bingo-slots hybrid games. This is a bigger selection than you will find at most other sites. It includes branded classics like Starburst Slingo, Slingo Sweet Bonanza and Slingo Rainbow Riches.

Game Menu, Search Functions and Game Window

The game menu is one of the best you will find giving you many ways to explore the vast catalogue of slots. See the screenshot below where I could search by game providers, star rating (1 to 5), min bet (10p to £2 or more), and game tags like Drop and Wins, Most Popular and Megaways.

There is also a really cool and totally unique ‘Hot and Cold’ games function that lets you see which games are currently running on a net positive RTP (paying out more than they are taking) and those that have a very low RTP at present and may be due a big win.

And as you scan the lists another useful feature is the information displayed as you roll over each logo. This will tell you the biggest win paid out on a game, how many times its been played in the last 6 hours and by hitting the ‘i’ icon in the top corner you can see the game’s configuration including paylines, reels, minimum and maximum bet AND how much you get back through the OJO loyalty program for every £1 wagered.

The others had just a £1 buy in so it doesn’t break the bank to take part.

Play OJO offers payments by debit cards and eWallets. The choice of services is quite limited with no Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard. However, the minimum deposit value is low at £10 and there are no fees.

OJO advertises that payments are processed in under 24 hours in most cases. We will post results of our own testing of withdrawals here soon.

Customer Support 6/10

Support at OJO is provided via email – support@playojo.com – or live chat. There is no phone support option. However, there is a very detailed FAQ section to the site available via the Help link. These cover subjects like Deposits, Withdrawals, Documents, Account Information and Safer Gambling.

There is a lot of useful information that is easy to find on the site which is great. However, when we wanted to speak directly to the support team at OJO things were not so good. The live chat is basically a virtual assistant that will try to steer you towards pre-defined answers much like the FAQs. If you cannot find what you are looking for here then you will need to speak to an agent. We did this and then waited 4 hours for a response. This is clearly not an acceptable time period if you have a burning question about payment or verification.

Furthermore, checking review sites aross the web we found others had similar frustrations with OJO’s support service.

It seems odd that having gone to such great lengths to build a top class product OJO wouldn’t invest more in support, but right now it is an area they fall short on.

KYC Process 7/10

KYC is handled through your account pages at Play OJO. It is possible to upload documentation like a scan of your passport or driver license to proof your ID, and a utility bill to proof your address, after logging in. This is helpful as it does not require you to send documents on email which can feel a little insecure. However, the process does not use AI automation to verify what you upload, so it can still take up to 24 hours for a staff member to review the documents.

For comparison, we have used third party KYC tools like Hooyu at sites like Duelz Casino, which scan and approve your documents in minutes. So, still some work for OJO to do here to improve their KYC service.
