As you have probably gathered by now, we are big fans of Push Gaming. Their catalogue is modest in size, but whilst they lack in quantity they more than make up in the quality of their releases, from production values through to gameplay and maths models. Things only really got going for Push in 2018 when Tiki Tumble arrived but since then they have produced numerous high quality games, mostly hits and rarely a miss to speak of.
In some ways it could be argued that Push Gaming were the forerunners for hip young gun slingers like No Limit City and Relax Gaming, pushing the boundaries of what makes a good slot and how far you can push the maths. And they continue to hold their own in this crowded market. Right here we have picked out three of our favourite Push slots so far. As they continue to deliver 5 to 10 new games each year we can expect this list to change with time. But for now, enjoy!
Jammin’ Jars 2
- Variance: High
- RTP: 96.4%
- Top Payout: 50,000x
This 8×8 grid slot with a cluster pays model is the follow up to the awesome original Jammin Jars, another game that inspired further fans to join the Push Gaming train.
Jammin Jars 2 rocks a summery dance hall vibe with disco lights, purple palm trees and a grid stacked with juicy fruit symbols. But the key here is the Jam Jar Wild which will stick when it lands and trigger a re-spin. Each successive re-spin increases the Jam Jar multipliers by 1x. And in the free spins round the Jam Jars move around the grid for each successive spin in the round. A super-cool DJ with Ray Ban shades plays tunes and throws fruit bombs onto the reels to award instant cash prizes.
And for the big wins, the Giga Jar feature is triggered by collecting gold vinyls. Here, 8 giga spins are awarded with up to 4×4 wilds which sitck for the round.
Push were playing more with the idea of progressive win sequences here and you can see how the Giga Jar feature can go off big time with multiple 4×4 wilds with multipliers for 8 giga spins! Its what they do best.
Razor Shark
- Variance: High
- RTP: 96.7%
- Top Payout: 50,000x +
Before Mega Don there was Razor Shark, the original bad boy high risk shark-slot. And of course, being a Push Gaming slot it has the sharpest teeth of any! This, along with Tiki Tumble, is arguably Push Gaming’s best slot. It’s a super-high risk game on a simple 5×4 reel set with 20 active paylines. And the features are pretty straight forward too.
The highlights are Mystery Stacks which are stacks that land and all reveal the same symbol from the paytable. This could be the Golden Shark which themselves include bet multipliers or scatters. These multipliers can be up to 2,500x. And in the free spins round you are guaranteed TWO mystery stacks that nudge into place on each spin, adding a 1x multiplier to the mix with each nudge. The overall affect is to boost the win potential to a staggering 50,000x or more.
In Razor Shark, Push Gaming are showing us that you don’t have to go feature-mad to make a great high risk slot. The gameplay here is so simple, yet the action is still compelling and the rewards astronomical!
Tiki Tumble
- Variance: High
- RTP: 96.49%
- Top Payout: 10,000x +
Back at the start of 2018 Push Gaming were about to launch two games that were going to change the future for this dynamic young developer. One was Fat Rabbit and the other was this one, Tiki Tumble. Load it up and you’ll see straight away that it has Push Gaming written all over it! The artwork is superb, depicting a breezy Polynesian backdrop with blue skies, turquoise waters and rocky outcrops with totem statues. But the summery vibe masked a seriously high variance game that put Push Gaming at the forefront of the scene.
The gameplay includes Wilds, Stacked Wilds, and a Stack Wild Nudge feature that delivers more interesting results in the free spins round. Then, for each nudge a multiplier increases by 1x to be applied to wins triggered once the nudges are complete. Depending on how many scatters triggered the round, 3, 4 or 5, the multipliers starts at 1x, 2x or 3x.
What made this game so popular? Probably a number of factors – the arwork and production is top notch to start. But the simplicity of the Wild Stack feature and its ability to suddenly drive huge wins when the multipliers mix with high paying premium symbols. And Push also built the game so that if more wilds land, you get more free spins and this continues until no more wilds land. So theoretically, the game can go on for ever …!
For the record, on their own website, Push Gaming say the record win for this slot is 18,278x.
