As we enter the run-in to Christmas, it’s that time when game developers release their festive slots. This year’s crop has some real crackers to enjoy. Here we’ve picked our five favourites, including games from big names like Pragmatic Play and Relax Gaming. Hacksaw Gaming’s festive gift for 2024 is Snow Slingers, a 14 paylines game with a cheerful wintry design featuring cute penguins and a snowy landscape. This is a mid-variance game, but still proved tough to break when we tested it over 200 spins. It has a 10,000x max win and you can spin from 10p. Gameplay is very inventive (as always with Hacksaw). It centers around Snow-volver symbols, which throw snowballs at the reels, turning positions into wilds with multipliers up to 200x.
There are also two bonus features: Throw Snow! (a Hold and Win style bonus) and You Reap What You Snow (a free spins round). Both use multipliers to boost winnings, with multipliers applied to snowballs and wilds. The free spins bonus can be re-triggered, and multipliers remain sticky between spins so your best chance of hitting the 10,000x max win would be through these bonuses.
NOTE: In our test session we didn’t unlock either bonus over 200 spins. However, the game did produce a few wins of around 20x thanks to Snow-volvers in the base game.
Penguin’s Christmas Party Time – Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play have knocked out a few Xmas slots this year, including (unsurprisingly) yet another Big Bass game. But our favourite of the lot is this one - Penguin’s Christmas Party Time. Just like Snow Slingers, it’s a light-hearted game, this time with cheerful penguins partying-on in a snowy shack.
There are 25 paylines to win on and though the game lacks base game features, the free spins rounds provide variety, including Snowball Booster (random 2x multipliers), Wild Party (guaranteed wild reel), and Boogie Back (chance to re-trigger with multipliers up to 8x).
This is a high volatility game, so wins can be sporadic, and the maximum payout is capped at 2,000x—relatively low for a high-risk slot. RTP options range from 94.53% to 96.54% so you should look for sites where the game runs at the optimum level. Our recommendation would be MrQ from Lindar Media where every Pragmatic Play slot is set to the max RTP.

NOTE: In our test session the win rate on this one was good at 26%, so despite its volatility it does kick out regular wins. It also produced a 118.8x from the Snowball Booster round which kept re-triggering to give us 30 spins in the end.

This little gem from SlotMill is based the original Brew Brothers game. It takes us back to the rural hangout of two siblings whose lives revolve around creating their latest home brews. This time, snow lies all around but anyone whose familiar with the original slot will recognise the setting and characters, as well as the 5 reel, 40 paylines configuration, because its’ basically the same game with a festive makeover!
Wild symbols with multipliers (up to 3x) appear on the middle reels, while Old Betty symbols on the outer reels add up to 9 extra wilds to the center at any point, a powerful feature that triggered some nice wins for us in testing. And in the free spins round, wilds and Old Bettys are sticky, enhancing your chances for bigger wins.
The highlight of Christmas Brew is the Tractor Feature, triggered during free spins when all three middle reels fill with wilds. A mega multiplier wild then takes over, growing with each additional wild added by Gold Bettys. The max win is an impressive 15,000x your stake, though the game’s high volatility can lead to uneven win distribution.

Thunderkick slots are a treat at any time of year, and Hot Turkey didn’t disappoint when we gave it a spin. It’s a cluster pays game, set against the backdrop of a holiday feast, so it will definitely put you in the mood for Christmas.
The game plays out on a 7x7 grid and uses an avalanche mechanic, where winning symbols explode and make way for new ones, potentially triggering more wins. Exploding Turkey Wilds are central to the game, as they clear 3x3 sections of symbols and reveal multipliers that double in size from 2x, to 4x, to 8x all the way up to 128x, when more wins are triggered over them.
The free spins round is very powerful. It starts with 10 spins with persistent multipliers, and re-triggers are possible. That’s where the best chances of hitting a bit payout are. And the maximum win is 10,000x your stake, which is solid for a medium-high volatility game of this type.
NOTE: The win distribution in our test session was very choppy so expect some losing streaks as well as a few nice wins. Overall the win rate was 19% which is a little low, but we did see impressive 64x multipliers at one time.

Our last pick of festive slots for 2024 is this one from Relax Gaming. It’s basically a re-work of Money Cart 3 which is Money Cart but without the base game! All you do is spin and spin and spin until you hit 3 bonus symbols then you go direct to the famous Hold and Win round. No messing!
Once activated, the round starts with 3 re-spins which reset each time a special symbol lands. The special symbols include Snow Globes, Gatherers, Helpers, and Santa, all of which have unique powers like collecting or doubling values, reviving symbols, and triggering multipliers.
Money Sleight has a maximum win of 10,000x your stake and an RTP of 96% so it can certainly deliver some Xmas treats. However, as with all those Money Cart and Money Train games, the volatility means you can burn down your balance in no time. So our advice is, set a low stake to stay in the game!
