What Slot Games Are Available?

This is where OJO really excels. Close to 80 game providers power the list. Maybe a few less than we see on other big casinos, but it hardly matters because all the major studios are represented, and we couldn’t see any big omissions.

RTP rates are mixed.

Our sample of settings on 25 slots had an average RTP of 92.91%. We were disappointed to find several popular titles running at low settings including Book of Dead (91.25%) and Fire in the Hole 3 (92.08%). Only ten of the games we sampled were configured above 94%. They included Big Bass Splash (94.6%) and Gates of Olympus (94.5%).

Yes, OJO does host progressive jackpots. It's a very strong selection covering all the major networks displayed in the table below.

Searching using the ‘Jackpots’ tag in the filter feature brought up 784 games in total. However, this list mixes up the progressives with smaller local and fixed jackpots and requires a lot of scrolling to find what you’re looking for.

Making Deposits and Withdrawals

We made three deposits into our PlayOJO account, across Mastercard and Apple Pay. It was very easy to do using the yellow 'Deposit' button at the top of the screen on the app and desktop site and the simple banking form.

Funds were instantly available in our account each time.

In testing we also made two withdrawals of £10, one to Mastercard and one to Apple Pay. Both were approved instantly. The Apple Pay payment was received into our mobile wallet immediately. The Mastercard payment took 24 hours to arrive in our bank account.

A Note On Verification Checks

After making our Mastercard deposit we were asked to provide a picture of the bank card to verify ownership. This was because it was a new bank card being used on an existing PlayOJO account.

We uploaded the picture through our account, and it took just 36 minutes to verify. That’s quick and we have no complaints, although the instructions in the email were a bit unclear and first time round the image was rejected which was a bit frustrating.

A great looking website and app, though design of the account pages could be improved for better usability.

What Is The Website Like?

The website is bright and coloful and a step up from the templated white labels found on the Skill on Net platform. Its vivid style reflects the brand’s motto, ‘feel the fun’.

In the game area there is a lot of content to organise with so many categories and sub-categories but OJO does it well and it doesn’t feel too tightly squeezed into the available space.

The experience was not as good when we browsed around the account area. There are several different screen layouts for the cashier, the settings screen and the responsible gaming part, making it unintuitive. The Safe Mate section opens without branding too, which feels confusing.

We also noticed when making a deposit that our balance didn’t update automatically. A quick re-fresh was required. Not a massive issue, but disconcerting when you've just funded your account for the first time.

It’s a little odd that after presenting a premium game menu other areas of the site have these quirks. It took a few goes at using the app to get used to them.

Having said that, aside from these small issues, the overall platform performance was strong in our tests with fast load times for pages and no broken links.

The support service at OJO is delivered on live chat and email and supplemented with a comprehensive FAQs page.

Live chat uses an AI assistant called Marcus as the first point of contact. This means you get an instant response, and it’s good for generic site information and promotion questions.

However, when we had an account-specific query regarding a free spins promotion we had received but was not being fulfilled by PlayOJO, the experience was less good. The assistant couldn’t find an answer and kept asking for more information without fully understanding our query. This became frustrating and he only handed us over to a real agent on third time of asking.

That’s not to say this is the case with all account-related queries, but it shows the AI side of the support service can be frustrating.
