What Is Barz Casino and Is It Safe?

Barz Casino is a rock’n’roll-themed online casino with slots and live dealer games. It can be accessed via their website or an app.

It was founded in 2021 and is operated by White Hat Gaming Ltd who have been licensed in the UK since 2014. It is one of more than 20 casinos and sportsbooks run by this operator.

Although White Hat Gaming’s current license shows no history of regulatory action, under a previous license the operator was fined £1.3 million by the UK Gambling Commission for anti-money laundering and safer gambling failings. This was in 2021, the year that Barz Casino launched, so the site is not named in the action. However, it is managed by the same team.

Importantly, the operator committed to improved safer gambling procedures as part of the settlement and their license was not suspended. We also note that no further action has been taken since.

What Do Players Say About Barz Casino?

Barz is a white label, not a big high street brand, so is has a relatively small player base and reputation signals from authority forums and review sites are limited. It has just 81 reviews on Trustpilot, and a score 1.4/5.

This small sample does include some complaints around slow withdrawals and verification checks, not uncommon for White Hat Gaming casinos, though we did not experience these issues ourselves whilst testing the site. In fact, withdrawals were processed in good time.

What Payment Options are available?

There are plenty of ways to fund an account at Barz Casino.

The options available depend on which country you are in and what device you are playing on. In our UK account we could choose from the debit cards, eWallets and bank transfer services listed in the table below. After checking both the website and the app we found that Apple Pay is only available on mobile.

Barz does not accept deposits or withdrawals of less than £20, a common feature of White Hat sites. There are no transaction fees.

Making Deposits and Withdrawals and Using The Cashier

The cashier area at Barz Casino is functional, if not particularly pretty.

Depositing is very easy. There is a big green deposit button at the top of the site on desktop, and at both the top and bottom of the page on the mobile app. A useful feature is that it's possible to deposit without leaving a game session. That's important if you are playing a slot with progressive levels that get dropped if you close the game, like Jammin Jars 2, for example.

We deposited a total of £80 to our Barz Casino account during testing, using Mastercard and Paypal. All transactions were processed smoothly and the funds were available to play instantly.

We also made two withdrawals. They were quick, but not instant.

The withdrawal link is only available within the account area but its easy to locate. We made a £20 withdrawal to Mastercard which was approved in 15 minutes, and a £30 withdrawal to Paypal which was approved in 3 hours and 14 minutes. In the cashier we could also search our transaction history, which is useful if you have a query or just want to review your play. However, this function isn't easy to use. It has no filters for deposits or withdrawals, only a long list of every transaction over a given time. That makes it hard to locate specific payments or payouts.

The Responsible Gambling tools page is also badly formatted with lots of text surrounding the links to each specific tool. It could be tidied up to improve usability.

The best part about this offer is that you get your winnings in cash, not bonus funds. However, it is still not particularly competitive in the current market where there are alternative options offering more spins for the same deposit amount.

What Ongoing Promotions Do Players Get?

Promotions at Barz are frequent. From the main menu we could play a daily bonus wheel called ‘Rock n Reel’ which awarded both ‘no deposit’ and deposit-based free spins on Pragmatic Play and Play’n GO slots.  Two or three times a week we also received different free spins offers on email or via our account message box. These also included 'no deposit' bonuses.

We weren’t offered any deposit match bonuses.

Twice we took up the free spins offer we were awarded from the Rock n Reel bonus wheel. The process wasn't entirely seamless. Even after claiming the bonus from the wheel we had to opt in again when making our deposit. However, once we had done that part the spins appeared instantly when we opened the eligible game.

What we liked about these offers is that the deals were sometimes tiered, which means you can increase your deposit to earn more spins. Here are some examples of the deals we were offered during testing:

What we liked less is that your winnings are always paid in bonus funds with a 10x wagering requirement and a win cap, usually between £20 and £50. Although a progress bar in our account at least enabled us to track wagering towards the target.

This type of free spins deal is not uncommon but we have reviewed sites, like MrQ or Midnite where almost all free spins deals pay winnings in cash. At those casinos, the total number of free spins given away is often smaller, but overall the deals are simpler to follow without the hassle of meeting wagering requirements before you can withdraw your winnings.

Whilst the ‘Rock n Reel’ is fun to play and promotions are easy to follow, the program does lack variety. The bonus wheel always awards one of the same seven offers each time, and in the four weeks during which we tested the site the offers were not refreshed.

Yes, it’s called ‘Catch Drumsticks’.

There are no levels to progress through which makes it simpler to understand than many others we have seen. But that also means the rewards you get don’t improve over your lifetime as a player.

Instead, you are always awarded ‘Drumsticks’ for wagering at a rate of 1 point for every £5 wagered on slots, every £20 wagered on blackjack, and every £40 wagered on roulette.

Every 1,000 drumsticks converts to £5 bonus funds, with a 10x wagering requirement applied.

To date we have only collected 717 drumsticks from playing at Barz Casino so we have not claimed a bonus through this loyalty program. However, the mechanism to do so looks simple enough via a 'Redeem Loyalty Points' link in the account area.

Are There Tournaments?

Yes, Barz does run slots tournaments too.

Every week we could join a ‘Reel Clash’ with £1,850 in cash prizes shared amongst the top 4 spots and 100s of spins on Pragmatic Play slots shared between those finishing 5^th to 100^th on the leaderboard.

It’s easy to enter and the real time leaderboard configuration makes it fun to take part as you can see your position changing as you play. However, the points system does favour the bigger spenders as it’s built around total wagering rather than win percentages, and only spins of 50p or more contribute to your points total.

Also, tournaments are networked across the White Hat Gaming sites. That means the pool of players is bigger, making it harder to compete, although it makes the prize pool bigger too.

The selection is diverse and of a high quality.

There are 118 providers listed on the site, more than almost every other casino we have reviewed. They power a slots library that is rapidly growing in size as new releases are added. When we started testing there were just over 4,900 games. That number grew to 5,014 over two months.

For each provider you get the full back catalogue, not just the best-known games. For example, Nolimit City fans can play early releases like East Coast vs West Coast and Punk Toilet as well as the latest games like Outsourced 2.

The game menu is nicely presented and it has more category filters than most sites. There are 20 including New, Cluster Games, Megaways, Jackpots, Drops and Wins and Big Bass. There is even an on-brand ‘Rock Games’ section with games like Kiss Reels of Rock and Def Leppard Hysteria.

We could also filter by game provider or use a search bar to find games by keyword. It's a fast tool, returning a list of matching titles in under 1 second as we typed.

Game logos are big and presented in a grid layout on desktop or 2 columns on mobile which makes them easy to read. There are also options to sort by release date, A to Z, or most recommended. And we could save games to our favourites or return to recently played slots if we wanted to which saved time searching.

Platform performance was good. We played more than 20 slots whilst testing the site. The average load time on desktop was 4.92 seconds, and on mobile it was 4.23 seconds. There were no failed loads and no lag times during play.

What Are RTP Rates On Slots Like?

One of the only things to disappoint us in the game category was RTP rates.

We reviewed the settings on 25 popular games. The average RTP rate was 92.01%. Whilst very few sites these days run all games at the optimum 96% settings, this is lower than many competitors.

Our sample included popular slots like Big Bass Day at the Races (92.03%), Scroll of Dead (91.28%), Starburst (92.05%) and Gigantoonz (91.25%). 

We had to load up each game and browse the rules pages to find the RTP rate as Barz does not present this information on the website, something which would improve transparency in this area.

Barz Casino impressed us as a progressive jackpot destination. There are 332 listed, all accessible from the ‘Jackpots’ link in the game menu.

Their list includes games from 5 of the biggest jackpot networks, with multi-million payouts available via the Mega Moolah and WowPot series. There are also a variety of games from smaller must drop networks like Red Tiger's Daily Drop where prizes are guaranteed to pay out within a set timeframe.

It is very good. At peak times we found 429 tables and gameshows open, streamed by three different game providers: Evolution Gaming, Pragmatic Play and On Air.

What Is The Website Like at Barz Casino?

It’s clear, easy to browse and uses a smart red, white and black color scheme. The theme is rock ‘n’ roll and a guitar is emblazoned through the site logo.  That theme is carried through into promotion names and imagery, but it’s not so intrusive that you have to be a rock ‘n’ roller to enjoy Barz.

The site is built on the White Hat Gaming platform so it follows the same structure as all their others. That means the navigation is logical and informational pages are well formatted and easy to read. The game lists are nicely presented with big logos and enough spacing between them to make them easy to browse at a glance.  

The site performance was good too. Page load times averaged 4.7 seconds on desktop and 2.1 seconds on mobile.

We didn’t encounter any downtime or broken links whilst testing Barz Casino.

Does Barz Casino Have An App?

Yes, the Barz Casino app is available at both the App Store and on Google Play. We downloaded it to an iPhone 17 with iOS 26 and installed it in under a minute.

It’s also well-designed, quick to load and easy to browse. We did a lot of our gameplay and promotion testing on mobile and didn’t experience any usability or performance issues. The account pages and responsible gambling tools are a little fiddly in places, but that is not unusual for a casino app.

Barz Casino can be contacted on email or live chat only. There is no phone line to support.

The site has an AI assistant that filters queries. Unlike other sites we have tested, this one was quick to pass us through to a real support agent if it could not answer our question. We used the service 5 times in testing and each time the AI assistant passed us onto an agent. The average hand over time was 3 minutes, which is good.

The site also has a Help Center with short articles which are nicely categorised to help find answers to common questions. It’s a bit hit and miss with some articles providing succinct answers, whilst others are poorly written, including one about how to verify an account that doesn’t answer the question at all.
