What Is Temple Nile and Is It Safe?

Temple Nile is an online casino operated by White Hat Gaming Limited. It was founded in 2018 and has an ancient Egyptian theme inspired by slot games like Book of Dead. It’s available on website only, there is no app.

White Hat Gaming is a white label casino and sportsbook operator, licensed in the UK, Malta and North America. They have over 20 active sites listed on their UK Gambling Commission account page.

They were the subject of a hefty £1.3 million fine in 2020 when the Gambling Commission found failings in their safer gambling and anti-money laundering procedures. However, the operator’s clean record since shows that improvements made in these areas have met the standards required by the regulator.

What Do Players Say About Temple Nile?

Scant coverage on Trustpilot, Ask Gamblers and Casinomeister suggests this is one of White Hat Gaming’s smaller brands. There are just 33 reviews on Trustpilot, none since April 2025, and a TrustScore of 1.6/5. The most common negative reviews concern slow processing for bigger withdrawals with delays often caused by drawn out verification checks.

This is a common area of complaints at White Hat Gaming sites, though our own experiences with withdrawals have always been satisfactory.

What Is The Sign-Up Offer at Temple Nile Casino?

The sign-up offer at Temple Nile is a simple 50 cash spins on Big Bass Bonanza with winnings paid in real money, capped at £100. To qualify, players need to deposit £20 and wager £10 on slots.

The value of this offer is not especially competitive as the table below shows. You can pick up 200 spins for a £10 deposit at Kwiff, for example. However, with winnings paid in cash, it is still a nice incentive to try the site out.

The bonus wheel is the main event. It is the same one found on most other casinos in the White Hat Gaming network. It randomly awards one of seven deposit or no-deposit based free spins offers.

The offers range from 5 no deposit spins on Big Bass Splash to 40 spins on Big Bass Bonanza for a £20 deposit.

The number of spins awarded is competitive, but the terms are strict. Your winnings are paid in bonus funds with a 10x wagering requirement and capped at just £20 in most cases. Compare that to the free spins deals at Play OJO, for example, where all winnings are in cash with no win cap.

Leaderboard Tournaments

We could also join a weekly slots leaderboard. £1,850 is shared between the top 4 spots and positions 5 to 100 win free spins on Pragmatic Play slots.

These tournaments are networked across several White Hat casinos, so the number of entrants can be high, making it tough to get a prize spot. Points are awarded for wagering, and only bets of 50p or more count, which means the set up favours the big spenders.

Loyalty Program

Temple Nile runs a loyalty program where tokens are awarded for wagering. It’s nicely woven into the theme of the site with a Temple Bazaar marketplace where tokens can be exchanged for free spins and non-cash rewards.

However, the exchange rate is very poor. For example, to claim 100 spins on Book of Dead (worth 10p each) we needed 1,900 tokens. At the published rate of 2 tokens for £10 wagering on slots, we would need to wager £9,500 to claim £10 in spins.

The free spins also pay out in bonus funds with a 10x wagering requirement.

Very strong slots catalogue from classics to the latest releases, and big progressives like Mega Moolah and WowPot.

What Slot Games Are Available?

The slots catalogue is a big draw on White Hat Gaming sites.

In the case of Temple Nile, there are more than 120 game providers listed, powering an expansive selection that we estimate to be over 5,000 slots (older White Hat Gaming sites like this one don’t publish game numbers, but based on the providers shown, and rates of newly added games, Temple Nile likely offers a very similar size catalogue to newer sites we have reviewed, like 247Bet).

The provider list covers most top tier names, including NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Big Time Gaming and Play’n GO, but not Playtech. Other prominent names include Hacksaw Gaming and Peter and Sons, but not Yggdrasil or Quickspin.

What Is The Game Menu Like To Use?

It’s adequate, if not particularly clever.

There are options to search by game name or provider, and some high-level categories including, New, Popular and Big Bass. But nothing to search by theme, format or volatility level.

There is some personalisation too. Recently played games are added to a list that appears above the main game list, and we could also add games to our favourites, which is a useful feature. But each game logo only displays the name and provider, with no additional information to help with decision making.

What Are RTP Rates Like?

They are low, showing the same profile as all other White Hat Gaming sites we have tested to date.

Across the 25 games we use as our standard sample, the average RTP was 92%. This is lower than competitor white label operator, SkillOnNet, who averaged 92.91% from the same sample. It’s also lower than independent operators like Midnite (94.54%) and Casumo (93.42%).

Our list included Le Fisherman (92.34%), Big Bass Splash (92.05%) and Scroll of Dead (91.28%).

Does Temple Nile Have Progressive Jackpots?

Yes, those who like playing for big prizes are well-served at Temple Nile. The game list covers the biggest networks including Mega Moolah and Dream Drop, but not Age of the Gods or Mega Fortune.

Logos are displayed with jackpot tickers showing the current prizes, and you can view the aggregate total of all available progressives on the home page. It read £418,098,534 on 6^th October 2026 when we were reviewing Temple Nile.

What About Live Dealer and Virtual Tables?

Temple Nile features live tables and gameshows from Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live. Options from On Air Entertainment were also listed, but every single link was broken when we were testing the site.

The selection from Evolution and Pragmatic Play is huge. We counted 430 blackjack tables across both providers, with stakes from 50p up to £1,000s on VIP tables. The gameshow options include Crazy Time, Sweet Bonanza Candyland and Monopoly Live.

Yes, there is a Scratch and Fun section with more than 140 instant win, arcade and Slingo games. This is an increasingly interesting area of casino gaming, driven in part by the ever -growing number of Crash games like Buck Stakes ‘Fly X’, which is listed.

There are plenty of crash options at Temple Nile. One recent addition we enjoyed trying out is Money Plane from Relax Gaming. It uses the theme of their Money Train slot series and comes with 5 volatility levels and a 10p minimum stake.

Game Performance and Platform Stability

We used a sample of 20 games to test game loading times at Temple Nile. The averages on mobile (5.1s) and desktop (5.8s) were well within the normal range we see at casinos we test. Only one game, Iron Dog’s 3d Blackjack, failed to load, showing a blank screen instead.

Whilst playing slots and live games across the site we didn’t notice any lag times. Classic Blackjack Sidebet Suite from Switch Studios did fail in the middle of a hand, requiring a re-fresh. However, the game returned to the unfinished hand and there were no further problems.

Fails like this do happen from time to time and as a one off, it doesn’t raise any concerns about serious issues with the platform.  

Wide choice of payment services includes Paypal and Apple Pay, fast withdrawals in testing, but £20 minimums.

What Deposit and Withdrawal Options Are There?

The range of payment options is good, just a few short of top marks.

The eWallets include Paypal, Neteller and Revolut. Apple Pay is an option on mobile, and bank transfers can be made using Trustly.

As with most White Hat Gaming casinos, the minimum deposit and withdrawal thresholds are high, at £20.

Making Deposits and Withdrawals

We made deposits to our Temple Nile account with Paypal and Mastercard. It’s a very simple process, accessible from the orange ‘Deposit’ button visible at the top of every screen.

Recent payment options are saved, so they don’t have to be re-entered. This way, a payment can be made in just two clicks from any page.

Each of our deposits was processed instantly.

We also made a withdrawal of £20 to Paypal. Temple Nile state a minimum of 24 hours to approve any withdrawal in their FAQs, but ours was processed in 1 hour 38 minutes. It landed in our Paypal eWallet at the same time.

This approval time aligns with our findings from testing other White Hat Gaming casinos.

An interesting theme, but the website feels dated and the mobile experience was poor.

How Is Temple Nile’s Website?

Temple Nile has one of the more immersive in the White Hat group, leaning heavily into the Ancient Egypt theme that inspires it.

But whilst it felt cutting-edge when it launched in 2018, including video content of slots play on the home page, unfortunately it looks quite tired and dated now.

There were a few minor functional issues too. To close Live Chat you need to use a link at the side of the screen, which is not immediately obvious. We spent 5 minutes trying to close down the window which was in the way. A button in the popup itself would work better. We also found that the game search bar disappeared under the menu when we hit the ‘Search’ icon. We had to scroll to bring it back into view each time.

Despite these drawbacks, the website was fast in our tests on a Macbook and we didn’t come across any broken links.

Does Temple Nile Have a Mobile App?

Only for Android. As an iPhone user, we had to visit the site in our mobile browser. And unfortunately, the experience was very poor.

As well as being slow to load, the website looked like it wasn’t working properly at times. The game search bar was very slow to respond to our typing, and game lists usually loaded in a long time behind the rest of the site. We also had to tap logos 2 or 3 times before a game would load. All of this was frustrating over a prolonged period.

Fortunately, the cashier worked fine, and once games were loaded, they played without issues. However, it would be a challenging experience to play regularly on mobile at Temple Nile based on this evidence.

AI-led live chat is on 24/7 and worked well, with fast back-up from real agents.

Temple Nile provide customer support on email and live chat, but not phone or SMS.

It’s a 24/7 service, with an AI assistant providing a first response on live chat, before handing over to a real agent if required.

AI assistants can vary in quality from one platform to the next. This was one of the better ones. It answered basic queries about the site perfectly well,. Then it even got some account-level ones right too. We asked which game the free spins we had just claimed were valid for and it checked and came back with Big Bass Bonanza, which was right.

It’s also very fast, of course, with no wait time.

Furthermore, it was ready to hand over to a real agent if it didn’t know the answer, something which some AI assistants are not quick to do. The handover time in our test was just 2 minutes.

There is also a Help Center. It’s got a lot of good information in there, nicely categorised with a keyword search tool too, though some of the articles are quite old.
