PlayGrand is an online casino. It opened in 2014 and offers slots, live casino games, virtual tables and instant win games, but no sportsbook.

The site is run by White Hat Gaming Ltd, a UK-licensed operator on account 52894. They run over 20 white label gambling sites in the UK, Europe and North America including 247Bet and Jackpot Village.

White Hat is a long-running operator in the UK gambling market, established in 2012. However, their license history is not clean. It has low scores on Trustpilot (1.5/5 from 83 reviews) and AskGamblers (4.5/10 from 19 reviews). There are some patterns in the complaints, with delays to larger withdrawals caused by verification checks a common one. However, they are not significant enough in number to suggest it is a widespread issue. Our own withdrawal tests did not raise any concerns.

Making Deposits and Withdrawals

It was easy to make a deposit at PlayGrand. At the top of any page on the site we could use the pink ‘Deposit’ button, or from within a game window we could use the small down arrow at the top of the screen.

We made deposits with Paypal and Mastercard. Most were processed instantly and without issues. However, on one occasion the cashier loaded a blank screen after we had clicked the button to confirm our deposit. By checking our balance and bank account we could see that in fact no payment had been processed, but even after speaking to support we didn't uncover what had happened.

Withdrawals were smooth, and processed reasonably fast.

All payment options bar Paysafe and Neosurf are available for withdrawals, although anti-money laundering regulation dictates that payments must go back to the payment method most recently used by the player for deposits.

We made two withdrawals of £10. One to Paypal was approved in 5 hours and 15 minutes, then appeared instantly on our Paypal balance. One to Mastercard was approved instantly, although it then took 24 hours to appear on our bank balance.

That is underwhelming. We have seen better value both within the White Hat Gaming group and across the wider UK market. For example, Jackpot Village (White Hat Gaming) gives 200 Book of Dead spins for a £20 deposit, and Kwiff offers the same for just a £10 deposit.

The terms could be more lenient too. Free spins winnings are paid in bonus funds with a 10x wagering requirement and £100 cap. We have found several sites where free spins deals pay out winnings in cash, some without a win cap. These include PlayOJO where a £10 deposit gets you 80 cash spins on Big Bass Bonanza.

What Are Regular Promotions Like?

The on-going promotions program appears to be very thin.

We approached the support team on live chat to see how PlayGrand run their promotions. We received a very templated response saying the loyalty program was by invitation only and that all accounts are reviewed periodically to decide whether a player has become eligible.

That left us with very little to go on. Our conclusion? If loyalty rewards matter to you, it is hard to justify spending here when the site gives almost no indication of what benefits exist or what level of play is required to qualify.

What Is The Slot List Like?

PlayGrand does not publish the number of slots in its library, so it’s hard to compare against other sites. However, based on the provider list, category options and the inclusion of recent releases, the selection looks similar to other sites from this operator. That would put the number of games in the region of 4,000 to 5,000.

What Is The Game Menu Like To Use?

The game menu is quite basic. There are just 9 categories to filter by, including New, Top Games, Slots and Jackpots. Clicking into the search bar surfaced 3 extra ‘Tags’- Megaways, Cluster Pays and Avalanche Wins - but in our opinion those options would have looked better in the main menu.

Common helpful tools to save to favourites or browse recently played games are not available. But there is a fun ‘Random Game’ selector for when you can’t decide what to play.

During testing we tried over 20 games including Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play), Book of Books (Peter and Sons) and Dreadworks (Print Studios). Game load times were a little slow on desktop, averaging 6.15 seconds, but strong on mobile at 4.24 seconds.

Apart from one brief occasion when Gates of Olympus lagged between spins, performance was generally good. However, frustratingly, on several occasions games didn’t open when tapped whilst testing the website on our iPhone.

What Are RTP Rates Like?

Rates are weak overall, though in line with other White Hat Gaming sites we have reviewed.

The average RTP across a sample of 25 games was 92%. All but one game – Tombstone RIP (94.08%) - was set to under 94%. Popular games in our list included Rome The Golden Age (91.05%), Big Bass Bonanza (92.05%), Starburst (92.05%) and Fire In The Hole 3 (92.08%).

RTP rates are not available on the website or game loading screens so we had to search the game rules pages in each case.

Are There Progressive Jackpots?

Yes, the site includes major progressive networks. Mega Moolah, WowPot, King Millions and Relax Gaming’s Dream Drop are all listed.

We found 16 Mega Moolah titles alone, and on 4^th September 2026 we saw the Mega Jackpot had reached £14,006,700.

Unfortunately, the game menu made it hard to pick out progressives. Most of the 954 games listed under the ‘Jackpots’ category were local or fixed jackpot games. That meant we had to scroll down through a huge list less relevant games to find the actual jackpots we wanted.

Better sub-categories for ranges such as Dream Drop, Mega Moolah and Jackpot King would improve the experience significantly.

There is an issue again with discoverability. Virtual tables are mixed in with the live casino listings under ‘Table Games’ rather than being clearly separated, which makes them harder to locate than they should be.

Are There Any Other Games?

Yes - PlayGrand also includes crash games, plinkos, scratchcards, Slingos, dice games and other arcade-style titles. But there is no way to discover them without taking a punt via the search bar, because they do not have their own category.

That is a shame, because there are some genuinely popular titles here, including Fly X, Diamond Trader, Book of Slingo, Slingo Cleopatra and Pine of Plinko.

Using the search tool, we found well over 100 games of this kind.

A smart-looking site, but with some reliability issues in testing, including pages that failed to load, and no mobile app.

What Is The Website Like?

PlayGrand looks good. The design leans towards a premium casino style, with a black, silver and white colour scheme and flashes of pink on key buttons. The navigation is fine. It’s simple and we had no problem finding information or functions we were looking for.

However, the website performance was inconsistent. Several times pages failed to load properly and we had to refresh to trigger a re-load. This included the home page after log-in and once whilst trying to make a deposit. Information also loaded slowly whilst we were searching our transaction history.

Measured speed wasn’t bad. Average page load times came in at under five seconds in Google PageSpeed Insights, which is about average. But overall the site did feel a bit unstable at times.

Does PlayGrand Have a Mobile App?

No, unlike newer sites on the White Hat platform, PlayGrand doesn’t have an app. Instead, we had to use a mobile web browser to log on and play.

We used an iPhone 17 with iOS 26 installed. Again, the site looked good and was functionally sound but did suffer from the occasional glitch.

AI-led at first, but handover to the human support team was fast and efficient when needed.

PlayGrand offers customer support by live chat and email, both available 24/7. There is no phone, SMS or WhatsApp option.

White Hat Gaming have begun introducing AI agents in live chat in 2026 and we see that at PlayGrand too. We encountered it on all three occasions we contacted support during testing.

This makes the initial response time quicker. However, this agent could only handle the most basic questions. It was able to tell us that we were not currently eligible for any free spins offers, but it could not give useful answers about future promotions, whether there was a loyalty programme, or why one of our deposits had failed.

On a positive note, the AI agent was quick to hand over if it could not resolve our issue. The average handover time was 4 minutes, and the longest wait was 9 minutes. That is acceptable, though not especially impressive.

Once we reached a human agent, the quality of support was good. Our questions were answered competently, although some replies felt templated and lacked a personal touch.

PlayGrand also has a Help Centre, but it is only accessible through the Live Chat link in the site footer, which is strange because it’s a useful tool and worth properly signposting. The articles themselves are short, but informative. There is also a useful keyword search option if you don't want to browse the full lists of articles to find what you are looking for.
