Another Frenetic Journey Into The Dystopian World of Nitropolis

You certainly know what you are getting with a Nitropolis slot –dystopian narrative, chaotic scenes, gritty urban landscapes with industrial steel, pipes and fluorescent Nitro fuel containers. Symbols and Paytable

Dirty Dawgs has 6 reels and 4 rows but this is no 4,096 payline slot. Instead it runs with just 20 paylines, with wins triggered by landing 3 or more identical symbols across any line from left to right, starting at the left most reel.

There are 10 pay symbols to win with. The low value ones are the cards, 10 through to Ace. These are valued at from 0.1x for 3 10s up to 3.5x for 6 Aces. The premiums are the dog food bowls, beer mug, pistol, studded collar and deputy dawgs badge. These are valued at from 0.25x for 3 foods bowls up to 25x for 6 badges.

There are also wild symbols, represented by any dawg with the word ‘wild’ written across them. These substitute for any pay symbol to complete a payline and are valued at the same level as the premium badge symbol – 1.25x, 2.5x, 5x or 25x for 3, 4, 5 or 6 on a line.

Features and Gameplay

The features in Dirty Dawgs are all variations on themes we have seen in other Nitropolis games to date, including Nitro Wilds, various Nitro modifiers and free spins. Here is how they work.

Mini Stacks of Nitro Wild Reels  

If you’ve played Nitropolis games before you will be familiar with the Nitro Reels concept. There are mini stacks of symbols that cover between 2 and 4 rows within a reel. In other games they may be any pay symbol. In this instance they are Wilds.

Only one can land per reel.

You don’t see the number of wild symbols within the Nitro Wild Reel but rather a number displayed at the top of the Nitro Wild Reel tells you how many wilds are contained within it. This number can randomly increase at any time.  And … the size of the Nitro Wild Reel can expand too to 1x3 or 1x4 (full reel) at any time.

Nitro Feature Boxes Contain Special Modifiers

There are five special Nitro Feature Boxes in the game too. These are represented by boxes with glowing contents with the name of a modifier written on the outside. They are:

Respins – the reels re-spins and any Nitro Wild Reels, Feature Boxes and Scatters stick

Wilds – the box simply converts into a wild

Expand – causes a Nitro Wild Reel to expand to 1x4

Raffle – all Nitro Wild Reels become unique spinning reels that will stop to display either a blank or a coin. Coin values are instant pay prizes and can include the max win of 25,000x

Dirty Wilds Add Nitro Wild Reels 

The Dirty Wilds feature can trigger at any time during a spin. When it does, a random number of fully expanded Nitro Wild Reels will be added to the reels before the spin ends.

Free Spins With Nitro Wild Reels

The main even as ever is the free spins round. To trigger this you need to land three or more BONUS symbols anywhere on the reels on a single spin.

The more BONUS symbols you land, the better the configuration is, as follows:

• 3 BONUS symbols – 5 free spins
• 4 BONUS symbols – 5 free spins with one Nitro Wild Reel
• 5 BONUS symbols – 5 free spins with two Nitro Wild Reels
• 6 BONUS symbols – 5 free spins with three Nitro Wild Reels

There is one enhancement in the free spins round – all Nitro Wild Reels are now sticky. And, if you can achieve SIX Nitro Wild Reels across the game area then you extend the round by 5 spins. This can only happen once.
