With its coin collection feature – the Rush Meter – and all the other bright lights and animations going on, Cosmic Rush does a very good job of making it feel like you are on a winning streak when you might not be! Coins land almost every spin, and whilst they are rarely activated by a collect symbol, they are always added to the meter to boost the win multiplier. That little animation has a feel good factor, and your multiplier grows quickly, so that by 48 spins mine was up to 4x.

Cosmic Rush Dream Drop 40.5x win — A 40.5x win in testing

The flipside to this is that real wins were actually hard to come by, and in fact, Cosmic Rush appeared to be more volatile than it’s low variance billing suggestes. The win rate in this session was just 15%, though I have seen the game advertised as 20% elsewhere, so maybe it was just an unlucky streak. Anyway, I waited long periods for anything to happen before the game finally kicked out something of interest. The best win was a coin collect of 40.5x shown in this screenshot. And overall, the balance took something of a kicking, though its had worse!

On balance, despite the low win rate, Cosmic Rush was entertaining to play and the configuration certainly suggests one of those slots that can produce some extraordinary moments (including those DD jackpots), particularly in the free spins rounds. I just didn’t make it there this time round.
