High Quality Production For a Highly Volatile Game

Hyperburst is a sharp looking slot with a slow-burning soundtrack that rises in volume and intensity to reflect changes in the gameplay. The backdrop is an epic volcanic landscape with mountains and forest surrounding an active volcano that sits directly behind our 6x4 reel set. The symbols on the reels include what look like Polynesian masks, intricately drawn. When you spin, the reels rumble along then stop with a satisfying thud. In a nice animation, as the reels merge and re-spins ensue, lava spews down onto the reel set from the volcano crater to add to the drama. It looks superb, just as we have come to expect from Yggdrasil.

The RTP for Hyperburst is 96.2% which is about average, so no complaints there. This is a highly volatile game, one with the potential to frustrate for long periods before kicking out a few huge wins on the bounce. In other words … unpredictable!

Maximum Win

The top payout available on a single spin is 12,800x. That is not huge compared to contemporary slots like these ones, but it’s still a good potential to aim for. If you are looking for greater potential from the same provider you could try Florageddon (20,000x) or Vikings Go Beserk Reloaded (25,000x) instead.

Symbols and Paytable

Hyperburst has 6 reels, each with 4 rows on them, and 25 paylines. Wins are triggered by landing 3 or more identical symbols on a payline from left to right.

Symbol values are modest but with multipliers and colossal reels they can soon deliver some very big payouts. Low payers are the cards, Jack through to Ace. These are valued at from 0.2x for 3 Jacks up to 2x for six Aces on a line. Premiums are the carved masks. These are blue, green, purple and red. They are valued at from 0.6x for 3 blues up to 8x for six red on a payline.

There is also a Wild that subs in for all pay symbols to complete wins and also pays out a whopping 100x for six on a line. Even hitting 5 of these can award a 20x stake prize, so it’s by far the best-paying symbol in the game. These Wilds can also appear as Colossal Symbols, which means you have even more chance of forming a winning combination.

There are no Scatter symbols in Hyper Burst because there are no ‘free spins’ as such. Instead you get Re-Spins which come after every win explained below.

Unlike a complex slot from Yggdrasil’s Vikings series for example, Hyerpburst is straightforward and easy to understand. Everything is driven by Re-Spins and the growing synching reels in the middle.

Here is how it works.

Hyper Re-spins on EVERY Spins Bring Up Colossal Reels

After ANY win in the game you will be granted Re-Spins. Now, TWO of reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 are joined together. This makes a Colossal Reel with 2×2 symbols on it. If you win again, the reel expands to 3 wide, and then 4 wide, known as a Giga Reel. 

Hyper Mode – Eruptions With Multipliers!

The ultimate goal is to hit the Hyper Mode which happens when all FOUR middle reels are joined. The action continues, but this time, with each winning spin a newly-introduced win multiplier progresses. It starts at 2x and moves upwards through 3x, 5x, and finally a maximum Multiplier of 10x. The multiplier stops growing at this point but there is no limit to how many re-spins you can get. Just keep spinning and winning!
