Aztec Gems Deluxe from Pragmatic Play was released at new UK casinos back in August 2020. It is the sequel to their Latin American-themed slot, Aztec Gems, released in 2018. It invokes the atmosphere of lush tropical jungles, presumably with hidden seams of glittering gold to be uncovered, Eldorado-style, by any punter lucky enough to land the right combination of symbols.
There were a few modifications to the original Aztec Gold slot game before its new Deluxe incarnation. It has been whittled down to a very simple 3×3 reel set with just 9 fixed paylines in play. What it offers, like the original, is some simple high risk gameplay with a very tasty top payout of over 20,000x as well as four straight forward fixed level jackpots.

Aztec Gems Deluxe is a tidy little slot, a simple game with, in our opinion, some hidden depths!
In terms of atmosphere, when you play this game the jungle animations and soundtrack are pleasing and the lustrous golden stylings are really easy on the eye. Meanwhile, the gameplay itself is very straight forward and when it kicks into life it can offer some good sequences.
The big event is the Money Re-Spins feature which itself is compelling simply because it can set up a relentless gold rush of wins where coins are held and re-spin after re-spins unfolds, kicking out some nice wins as it does. And if you are lucky enough to trigger that Wheel of Fortune then the prizes there are very good value too.
So, in summary, this is a game for straight-forward gamblers. It has none of the sophisticated gameplay of a No Limit City, Push Gaming or Relax Gaming slot. But if you just want spins and instant pay outs without the fuss of splitting cells and transforming symbols, it will be right up your street!
