With its ‘very high’ variance rating I knew what to expect going into this game and it did burn down the balance faster than most. The hit rate wasn’t too bad at over 21% but most wins came in at stake size or lower. The instant prizes from the hot dogs accounted for at least half of my wins – it’s the only feature in the base game – so watch out for those. Most were just 1x but there was one 5x in there.

Eventually the free spins round did trigger after 283 spins. That’s hard work! The Pop feature which boosts your wins triggered 4 times in the round, and the expander appeared 3 times so that by the end there were 6 reels and 5 rows to win across. Plus I got 3 extra spins. But despite all that potential the total win was only 19.5x. I was expecting more but that is high variance slots for you.

Big Burger Load It Up With Xtra Cheese is no healthy slot. That is for sure! It’s set in a US-style diner with booths in the windows to the left and the counter to the right. Center stage is a GIANT burger and bun stack that houses the reels. A huge pair of eyes and nose can be seen over the top of the stack, suggesting someone about to munch down on the greasy meal. The design style is a retro 60s cartoon one. More cheap and cheerful than anything and with a whacky soundtrack to match.

Free Spins With Win Ways, Expanders and Random Multipliers

An interesting part about this feature is that the pay model changes. Paylines are dispensed with and win ways come into play instead.
