A Fantasy World Slot With Strange Mushroom Men!

Hacksaw Gaming’s creative team have done a great job of creating an alternative universe here, populated by weird toadstool-jelly men who jump up and down behind and to the side of the grid, all under a night-sky lit up by aurora. In the background a gentle, ethereal soundtrack plays. The grid itself is populated by jellies and fruits, and there are plenty of cute pings and pops as winning symbols disappear of the reels. This is a far cry from Hand of Anubis or Itero, and more in the realm of Gronk’s Gems or Fear the Dark. It looks and sounds great and if you enjoy immersive games with a fairytale quality then this one could be for you.

RTP and Variance

Bouncy Bombs has four available RTP settings – 96.22%, 94.37%, 92.16% and 88.3%. It is up to your slot site operator to choose which RTP rate to run the game at. Some will choose less than optimum settings and should be avoided. You can check for yourself by browsing the game info screen once you’ve loaded up Bouncy Bombs. Scroll through until you see Return To Player. I wouldn’t play at less than 94.37%, and ideally I would look for sites at 96.22%.

This is one of Hacksaw’s less volatile games. Whilst they are well known for producing slots with a very high volatility, they do produce good mid-variance games from time to time too like Frank’s Farm and Dork Unit. This game fits into that grouping.

Symbols and Paytable

Bouncy Bombs plays out on a grid with 6 reels and 5 rows. It is a scatter pays game so you need to land EIGHT OR MORE identical symbols ANYWHERE on the grid to trigger a win. This of course means that you can build big payouts where the number of identical symbols in view is 19 or more!

There are 9 symbols to work with. These are the 5 jellies – red, orange, green, blue and purple – each valued at from 0.2x for 8 up to 50x for 19 or more; and the 4 berries – red, orange, green, blue – valued at from 1x for 8 red up to a whopping 400x for 19 or more blue.

There are NO wilds in this game.

Features and Gameplay

Bouncy Bombs utilises a classic Cascading Wins mechanic mixed with a novel way to drop multipliers into the mix to boost your wins. And, in classic Hacksaw style, there are 2 free spins rounds to play for as well. 

Cascading Wins

The Cascading Wins feature triggers after every win. The winning symbols are removed from the grid and remaining ones fall into the gaps left behind. Then new symbols drop down to fill any spaces left. If more wins are created then the process repeats, and so on, until no more wins are triggered.

Bomb Multipliers 

During the game watch out for bomb multipliers that come in 3 formats and activate after a win. All visible multiplier values are added together and applied to the total win from the spin which is displayed to the above the reels. These are the bomb multiplier types:

Regular Bomb – displays a multiplier value of 2x, 3x or 4x

Revealing Bomb – displays a ‘?’ and only reveals its multiplier value when it explodes. It is 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x

Cascading Dynamite Bomb – starts with a value of 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x or 25x and DOUBLES with each cascade

Bombastic Bonus – 10 Free Spins
