Cash n Riches isn’t the most thrilling of slots. It has the same format as Wolf Blaze WowPot Megaways but none of the stunning production. Instead it’s a rather generic glitzy dancefloor backdrop. That might please some people, but it didn’t do much for me. As far as gameplay goes its really all about waiting for that free spins round or WowPot feature to drop. Neither did in 100 spins though to be honest that isn’t unexpected. You might be waiting 200, 300 or even more for one of those to trigger. Base game spins are just about trying to build a good run of cascades and that rarely happened. In fact, the biggest win I saw was an 19.2x. All these are indicators that this Cash n Riches lives up to its high variance billing. It wasn’t my day, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be yours!

This slot has that slightly cheesy classic slot vibe. The disco ball (or crystal ball) is the main draw, glittering as it spins and illuminates the dance floor. Neon lights and a Taylor Swift’s light wall-esque backdrop are the finishing touches. There’s a pink hue overall in the base game, which switches out to green (the colour of money) for the free spins round.

The game uses the Megaways mechanic, which randomly changes the number of rows on each reel from between 2 to 7 on every spin, allowing up to 117,649 ways to win. A horizontal reel also sits on top of reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, adding an extra symbol to these reels. Wins are formed by landing at least 3 matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.

There are 10 pay symbols plus a wild and a scatter. The lower-paying symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A, which pay between 0.8x and 1.8x the bet for landing 6 of a kind. The medium-paying symbols are green, blue, and red gemstones, paying between 2x and 7.5x the bet for 6 of a kind. The highest-paying symbol is a sparkling diamond, offering 50x the bet for 6 of a kind and 2x for landing just 2. 

The Wild Symbol substitutes for all regular symbols except the Scatter Symbol, which triggers the free spins feature.

Extra Reel For More Win Ways

Above reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 you’ll see an extra reel with a key difference, it spins the other way to the rest of the reels. If symbols land on this reel then they count as being on the reel directly below them. 

Rolling Reels After EVERY Win

Whenever you make a winning combo, the symbols that were part of that combo disappear. This makes way for new ones to roll down from above. If they make a new winning combo then the same thing happens again until eventually no new wins are made. Remember that all of these rolling spins belong to the same single spin, meaning you can snag extra wins for your stake! 

Scatter Symbols Spell CASH!

There are four different scatters in this game C A S and H, pretty smart! You need to land all four of them to trigger the free spins feature (with 12 spins). Every extra scatter you land gives you an additional 5 spins.

Once in the free spins round, the scatters change to dollar signs but can only land on the extra reel. Land 3 or 4 to get 5 or 10 free spins. 

Free Spins With Progressive Multipliers

The Final Verdict

Cash n Riches Megaways has the look and feel of a classic slot, and with its glitzy background it will appeal to fans of the Vegas style games. However, it’s perhaps less exciting than other games in the WowPot series due to the rather generic gameplay.

The non-progressive max win is plenty juicy enough, but combined with the potential to win the Wowpot! Which can climb into the tens of millions, this is a slot that’s firmly aimed at high rollers and jackpot chasers. The RTP of 92.32% is a little stingy, especially with high volatility, but for the players this slot is aimed at, that likely won’t be a problem.
