Blueprint Gaming isn’t afraid of sticking to the script when it comes to the Fishin’ Frenzy series. If you liked the original game, or any of the releases before this one, then you’ll enjoy this one too. It’s more or less exactly the same. 

The graphics might be a fraction crisper, but other than that the only difference is that you’re playing on four sets of reels, instead of just one. This is definitely an original way to remake a classic game, though not well suited to small screens.

RTP and Variance

The RTP of this game is 96.06% which is one of the more generous in the Fishin’ Frenzy series, in fact, only the original Fishin’ Frenzy and Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways can beat it (by 0.06% and 0.04% respectively).

This game also comes with medium to high volatility, making it slightly less budget friendly, but still a good option for those looking for big wins.

Maximum Win

The top payout works a little differently with this game, as you’re playing four slots at once. The minimum stake is £0.10, but if you’re playing all four ‘screens’ that actually works out at £0.40. The top payout works in the same way, on a single screen you can win 5000x your £0.10 bet, but on the four screens you can win 20,000x your £0.10. 

If we’re judging it on a screen by screen basis then this slot falls right in the middle of the other slots in the Fishin’ Frenzy series. However, if we judge it on the 20,000x overall max win, it’s much closer to the top.

Symbols and Paytable

This game is played on 4 sets of reels, each 5 reels by 3 rows. Each of the sets has 10 paylines. To trigger wins, you need to match three of the same symbols (or more) on the paylines from left to right, starting with the leftmost reel. If you’re ever struggling with what the paylines are, you can check with the colourful numbers at the sides. If you land pelicans then you only need two to make a win.

There are 10 pay symbols, plus a wild symbol (fisherman) and a scatter symbol (boat). The low-paying symbols are the card suits (10, J, Q, K, A) which pay between 0.5x the bet for 3, up to 10x the bet for 5. The premium symbols are the bait box, the lifebuoy, the fishing rod, and the pelican. These pay from 2x your bet for 3 up to 200x your bet for 5. 

There are also the classic blue fish in seven different sizes. In the base game, they pay from 1x the bet for 3, up to 20x the bet for 5. Their values change in the free spins round. 

The wild symbol is the fisherman. In the base game, he can substitute for all symbols to complete a payline and pays out at 0.5x, 5x, 20x or 200x for 2, 3, 4 or 5 on a line. If you land three or more scatter symbols then you activate the free spins round.

Wild Symbol Pays Up To 200x

The wild symbol is the fisherman. In the base game, he substitutes for all pay symbols (paying between 0.5x and 200x as well), but in the free spins game he ‘reels in’ those blue fish. This cash-collect feature will be covered in more detail in the free spins round explainer.

Scatter Symbol Triggers Free Spins

The fishing boat called Scatter is, you guessed it, the scatter symbol. You need to land 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols to trigger the free spins round. You’ll get 10, 15, or 20 free spins respectively to start the round. Remember, you can’t land additional scatters once the free spins round starts.

Fish Symbols Valued At Up To 50x

Fish come in seven different sizes, though these have no effect on prizes in the base game. All fish, regardless of size act as the same pay symbol. However, in the free spins round their size does come into effect, making them worth from 2x the bet up to 50x the bet (if the fisherman appears on the reels).

The free spins round plays out in just one of the four windows. If you land a fisherman wild at the same time as any blue fish symbols then he collects the fish along with its value of up to 50x the bet. Every additional fisherman you land also reels in the same fish for the same values, again. 

Super Free Spins  - On FOUR Reel Sets

The Super Free Spins feature is triggered if you select the correct fish in the pre-spins round. This unlocks all four sets of reels. This means if you land just one fisherman on one grid, he can reel in fish symbols from all four sets of reels. This can lead to some particularly big hauls, especially if you land multiple fishermen, as your catch value is multiplied.
