Despite failing to unlock the free spins or the Giga Jars round Jammin’ Jars 2 was relentlessly fun. Wild Jars dropped with regularity, every 5 to 6 spins by my count, and I accumulated a 7x progressive multiplier on one occasion. The fruit blast was a highlight, appearing 7 times and landing 17 identical top paying strawberries on one occasion. This created 3 small clusters and a 17x win. The Instant Prize feature was far more elusive, only triggering once to produce a 10x win.

What does all this tell us? I finished down by just under £30, on 200 spins at around 20 minutes of game time. But despite its volatility, Jammin’ Jars 2 still kicked out small, regular wins to keep me interested, and the endless cascades, wild jars, animations on the grid and jigs from the DJ and his equaliser mean Jammin Jars 2 will always be entertaining whether you are up or down. The best parts are the Wild Jars that bounce around accumulating multiplier values, the equalizer animation across the grid and jigging DJ as he prepares to fire massive fruit symbols in Fruit Blast, and that incessantly catchy and upbeat disco soundtrack. But there is much more too and the best way to find out is to load the game up and start playing! So Much Exciting Gameplay Culminating in Giga Jar Bonus Round

For me, the reason that Jammin’ Jars 2 is a joy to play is the continuous interaction of the features, starting with the Cascading Wins and moving through to the game’s climax Giga Jar round with extra Wild Jars and super-sized Instant Win symbols.

Cascading Wins And Wild Jar Multipliers

Right at the heart of this game is the Cascading Wins mechanic. It’s really simple – when clusters form, winning fruits are removed and new ones drop in to replace them. If another win is created, then the process repeats. This keeps going until no more wins are triggered. On a good run you might get 3 or 4 Cascades in a row, but it can go much further.

The cool part is, if a Wild Jar forms part of a win, then it is NOT removed. Instead, once winning fruits are removed, and before the new ones drop in, our Wild Jar moves one space to an adjacent position. And each time this happens, a multiplier it carries goes up by 1x. The multiplier applies to any win the Wild Jar forms part of.

In my experience Wild Jars land roughly around one in every 5 spins, although they won’t always be part of a win. I’ve seen multiplier of up to 7x from 7 Cascades but not more, though clearly it is possible to go much higher.

Powerful Instant Prize Symbols Of Up To 1,000x

Watch out for those Instant Prize Symbols too. These have a simple stake multiplier value printed on them. When 5 or more land in a cluster their cumulative values are added together and paid out.

With a max value of 1,000x that leaves room some big, big payouts from this feature that can drop in both base game and free spins round.

Fruit Blast Adds Identical Fruits and Instant Prize Symbols

The Fruit Blast is another element of this game that I love. Both because of the super-cool animation that heralds its arrival, and the impact it can have on the grid. First, the whole grid animates like an equalizer. The reels light up in yellows and oranges. Then a Giant Fruit, and / or a Giant Instant Prize symbol will move over the board.

The Giant Fruit converts symbols on the positions it lands over into fruit symbols of the same type. The Giant Instant Prize Symbol converts  the positions it lands over into Instant Prize Symbols.

Get SIX Free Plays

The free spins round is simple. Wild Jars act as scatters and landing 3 or more on one spin earns you 6 free plays.

Like most free spins round, there are added treats. Firstly, the Wild Jar multipliers that were active when the round was triggered are carried over. And, there is no re-set between spins so those multipliers just keep growing until the round ends.

Collecting Gold Vinyl Fills The Giga Jar To Unlock The Giga Jar Feature

The absolute Holy Grail of this game, and the one that will frustrate the hell out of you as you try to unlock it, is the Giga Jar where super-sized symbols come into play.

During any spin, any Gold Vinyls that land are collected in the Giga Jar meter under the DJ to the left of the reels. When the Giga Jar meter is filled, any time a Gold Vinyl lands in future, it MAY trigger the Giga Jar feature.

First of all, ALL symbols drop off the grid. 3 or 4 Wild Jars are dropped on to the empty grid and then a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 Instant Prize symbol appears. Then, 8 spins play out where NO fruit symbols are in play, only Instant Prize Symbols and Wild Jars. The Wild Jars act as they do in standard play, moving between Cascades and progressing their multiplier as they do.

It doesn’t take much to figure out that the Giga Jar round has massive potential where Instant Prize symbols are landing all over the place and Wild Jar multipliers are in play.

The Final Verdict

Jammin’ Jars 2 gets one of the highest review scores we have given for good reason. This is an excellent game that both captures the fun spirit of the original and adds its own flavours through new features. Aside from the awesome production which I’ve covered in some detail already, what stood out most when playing this game was its ability to keep delivering enough in the way of wins to maintain your interest even when waiting for something bigger to happen. That is a tricky balance in a slot like this which is clearly heavily weighted towards paying out in the Giga Jar and Free Spins rounds. Without experiencing those it is still possible to see how cumulative Wild Jar multipliers and big instant win symbols are the route towards that seriously good 50,000x max win. And even if you find the volatility too much I would still recommend giving this one a spin for free anyway, to see what you might be missing!
