Theme and Design

Outlaws Inc looks just like you would expect a Hacksaw slot to look - two-tone dark dark grey and white colors are mixed in with bright yellows and oranges and there is a touch of graffiti styling to the logo and the splatters of paint across the backdrop.

The unusual theme, distinctive design and nicely-illustrated characters are interesting. However, once we started playing, Outlaws Inc didn't feel quite as compelling as other high risk games from Hacksaw like Hand of Anubis or Itero for example. In particular, there is little to no soundtrack in the base game and therefore the slot struggled to build any sense of tension or excitement for long periods. Once you enter the bonus round things pick up a bit, but that is a long wait for most players!

Symbols and Paytable

The reel set is a 5x5 with 26 active paylines in play at all times. Wins are triggered by landing 3 or more identical symbols across a payline from left to right, starting at the left-most reel. Symbol values are good - particularly at the top end of the paytable and for 5 of a kind wilds.

The symbols are all representations of Outlaw violence. Low payers are the brick bats, knuckle dusters, knives and grenades. You can win from 1x up to 2x for five low payers on a line. The premiums are the gang members themselves, including cockerel, eagle, dog and pitbull. They pay out from 5x up to 20x for five on a line.

As standard in Hacksaw games, there is a Wild which substitutes for all other symbols AND triggers wins of 20x when five land on a line.

Features and Gameplay

Outlaws Inc is all about multipliers and free spins. The way to score the big payouts is to build up a big global multiplier and a stack of free spins to play. Here is how that is done:

Cougars and Orcs Build Your Global Multiplier

Load up the reels and you’ll see a global multiplier displayed top left. This becomes active when you land Cougars and Orcs. Cougars increase the value by the number they display, and Orcs multiply the value by the number they display.

Cougars have multiplier values of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x and 100x. Whilst the Orcs have values of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x.

Gorillas Activate the Multiplier

The job isn’t done until you land a Gorilla on the reels. Then your global multiplier becomes active and is applied to any wins from that spin. And ... if more than one gorilla lands then the global multiplier will be applied more than once.
