A Bright and Cheerful Classic Slot
We’re in old-skool fruit machine land here with a bright frame around the reels in neon pinks and blues and lots of bright fruits on the paytable and a pleasant, upbeat soundtrack to accompany your spins. Symbols and Paytable
The classic fruit machine reel set in Ripe Rewards is a 5x5 one with 40 paylines to win on. You’ll need to land 3 or more identical symbols across a payline from left to right, starting at the left most reel, to trigger a win.
There are 11 symbols in the paytable to win on. These are low payers – 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace valued at from 0.1x for 3 10s up to 2x for 5 Aces – and premium fruit symbols – cherries, grapes, water melons, pears, peaches and pomegranate valued at from 0.4x for 3 cherries up to 15x for 6 pomegranates.
There is also a WILD symbol that substitutes for any pay symbol to complete a payline. It MAY carry a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x that will apply to any win it is part of. And when two wild multipliers combine on one line, their values are ADDED together before the win is calculated.
And finally, Wilds also have a pay value of their own – 2x, 3.75x or 15x for 3, 4 or 5 on a payline.
Features and Gameplay
Aside from wilds multipliers the only other feature in Ripe Rewards is the free spins round. You will need to land 3 or more of the Triple 7 scatters to trigger this. These only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. Three of them will also pay a 2x prize.
Once the round starts you get 7 spins with some added tricks. Firstly, all wilds are sticky. And secondly, scatters are now collected in a special meter, and as you collect more, so the multiplier values on the sticky wilds go up.
- 2 scatters in the meter adds 2x multipliers to all wilds and gets you 3 more spins
- 3 scatters in the meter adds 3x multipliers to all wilds and gets you 2 more spins
- 5 scatters in the meters adds 5x multipliers to all wilds and gets you 1 more spin
And that’s your lot!
Final Verdict
Not all slots have to be super-sophisticated with new and innovative features. Instead, Ripe Rewards is a simple but fun game which pulls you in with its bright visuals and upbeat soundtrack. The best moments by far will come in the free spins round where the progressive elements mixing sticky wilds with increasing multipliers make for more thrills. On a good day your payouts could really snowball if you can stack up enough wilds and unlock the top level on the meter. A solid, if simple slot.

The hit rate here – roughly 1 in 5 spins – feels a little tight but it is not untypical for a high variance Pragmatic Play slot. The base game chugged along nicely producing a 10x win at best from a 5x multiplier wild, but it’s the free spins that provided the best moment. It triggered just once – again, not unusual in 250 spins – to produce a 42.1x win. I triggered the scatter meter twice to add 5 more spins and convert all multiplier wilds into 3x multipliers. By the final of 12 spins I had 5 3x multipliers up there. Its easy to see how much potential there is if you can reach the 5x level then land significant numbers of sticky wilds on the reels.
Overall, the balance took a bit of a hammering, but this is an entertaining, if simple, slot.
