Pragmatic Play don’t mess with the Wolf Gold brand here. We’re back in a rocky canyon in the American west, bathed in pink and purple light under a starry sky. The pay table is filled with wild animals and a pleasant piano and strings soundtrack with intermittent wolf howls completes the atmosphere. Symbols and Paytable

Wolf Gold Ultimate follows a simple 5 reel and 3 row format with 25 paylines in play on each spin. You need to land 3 or more identical symbols on a line from left to right, starting at the left most reel, to trigger a win.

There are 8 pay symbols in the table. Low value ones are the cards, Jack to Ace, valued at from 0.4x for 3 Jacks up to 4x for 5 Aces. The premium symbols are the animals, cougar, horse, eagle and bison. These are valued at from 0.8x for 3 cougars up to 40x for 5 bison.

There is also a Money symbol, represented by the Moon – more on that in the next section – and a Wild, represented by the Wolf. He will substitute for any pay symbol to complete a win AND comes with a value of 2x, 20x or 40x for 3, 4 or 5 on a line.

Features and Gameplay

There is not much to speak of in the base game of Wolf Gold Ultimate. It's all about triggering the Hold and Win game which uses the classic mechanic but adds a progressive element. Here is how it works:

Money Symbols

These carry values of 0.4x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x or 15x; OR a jackpot value of 20x (MINI), 50x (MINOR), 100x (MAJOR) or 1,000x (GRAND).

Money Re-Spins

The main even is the Money Re-Spins feature. You need SIX or more Money Symbols to land on one spin to trigger it.

The round plays out on 3 5x3 grids and a 5x1 grid which open up progressively during the feature which is a classic Hold and Win with 3 re-spins on the counter and ONLY Money Symbols or blanks available. Each time a Money Symbol lands on a spin the counter re-sets to 3.

When the round starts, only the first 5x3 grid is active. But if you can fill it with 9 Money Symbols then the second grid opens up. Then, if you can collectively fill the first and second grids with 19 Money Symbols, the third grid opens up. Land 32 Money Symbols on the first, second AND third grids and the final 5x1 opens up.

The 5x1 grid is different. Here, Money Symbols take on extra properties:

Collect – a Collect symbol will collect the value of all Money Symbols on the same reel as it lands on, on each grid. It will also collect the value of Money Symbols that land on the same reel on future spins.

Plus Cash – a Plus Cash symbol will add its value – 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x or 15x - to all Money Symbols on the same reel across all grids, except for jackpot values.

Multiplier – this one carries a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x to be applied to all Money Symbols on the same reel across all grids.

The round continues until either you run out of re-spins OR the every position on the grid is filled with a symbol. Then, all visible money values on all active grids are added together and paid out.
