MrQ has a fairly minimalist design, with tiles representing various games sat on a white background. The style is similar to that of Casumo. It is modern, clear and easy to navigate.

The lack of unnecessary details helps the site to load quickly, while the uncomplicated design makes it easy to find what you need. The signup form is unfussy and the navigation menus are logical and intuitive.

Finding Important Information

Key bits of information that you might want to take in before signing up can all be accessed via the footer menu. That includes the main terms and conditions and Safter Gambling Policy. There is no Bonus Policy page – something that other sites have which is a useful way to summarise how bonuses work. But there is a fun Blog page that is worthing browsing as it has some gambling tips and guides like a slots glossary’, Book of Dead slots to play and how wagering requirements work.

Sign Up and First Deposit

Registration is a basic three step signup form. You can breeze through this in just one or two minutes before you are prompted to set responsible gambling limits. You’ll need to enter the usual details: full name, address, date of birth, email and chosen username and password. Assuming this information is correct then you won’t be required to verify your account before depositing.

We were invited to complete daily, weekly and monthly loss limits right away – it’s entirely optional, but it illustrates MrQ’s commitment to social responsibility.

Account Pages

The account area couldn’t be simpler.

You can set your Avatar at the top which is a nice little function but probably more suited to bingo players. The rest of the page gives you all the options you need to deposit, withdraw, view transactions, edit your preferences and administer your account. This is also one of the few sites that we know to offer a Refer a Friend scheme (also a bingo-type feature). You can do this from your account page too.

Catalogue and Game Providers

More than 20 of the gambling world’s premier casino software suppliers are represented in the MrQ game library.  This is a small selection but the quality is excellent. Award-winning slots developers like Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, Play’n GO, NetEnt and Microgaming are all represented. And in total there are over 700 different slots to choose from.

There are some notable omissions from the lists too – there are no Relax Gaming or Hacksaw Gaming slots for example. However, overall the selection is reasonable and will satisfy most players.

If you need more choice then we recommend that you try rival sites like Casumo (over 3,000 slots) or a Skill on Net site like Play OJO (over 4,200 slots) for example.

Jackpot Slots

The progressive jackpot list is good. Hit the Jackpots link in the main menu and you’ll find around 80 titles to browse through.  The following jackpot networks are included in the lists:

New Slots

The ‘New’ tab in the game menu includes close to 50 games. Browsing the list we found slots that had been very recently released including Stormforged by Hacksaw Gaming and The Red Queen by Pragmatic Play. This is a good indication that you will be able to find the latest titles at MrQ and shows they are a site for serious slots fans.

Megaways Slots

There is no Megaways section in the game menu. However, if you choose to type ‘Megaways’ into the search bar you will bring up a list of 50 games with Big Time Gaming’s famous expanding reels game engine. The list includes a good mix of classics and newer versions from Bonanza to Gonzo’s Quest Megaways and Blood Suckers Megaways.

Slingo Games

Game Menu, Search Functions and Game Window

The game menu at MrQ was straight froward which makes things easy to find. The games are categorised into logical groups like “Top Games”, “New Online Slots” and “Jackpot Games”. Or if you’re hunting for a specific title, there’s a handy search bar. The only minor gripes are that there is no option to search by game provider, and that search bar is well camouflaged. For a little while, we didn’t even realise there was one! For reference, it’s stuffed in the thin space between the horizontal navigation bar and the game tiles.

Games open up within the main site which means you can keep the game going and make a deposit in a pop-up window. You can also chat with support without leaving the game area which can be useful. However, if you click to anywhere else you will drop the game.

Slots RTP at MrQ

There are lots of promotions running at MrQ, but there was one big thing missing: there is no loyalty program. In such a competitive industry, a big reason to stick with a casino brand is the ability to earn loyalty rewards. Even a reload bonus wouldn’t go amiss, but there’s nothing to be seen.

There seems to be a clear strategy from the MrQ marketing team to avoid any sort of deposit match bonus. All rewards are either free bingo cards or free spins on casino slots. While that may be disappointing, it does at least show how serious they are about promoting responsible gambling.

Despite some misgivings, what we do really like about MrQ is their commitment to free spins offers with no wagering requirements. All free spins come this way and whilst their value may be low, having a bonus without those pesky restrictions on winnings is a BIG plus.

The number of possible payment options at MrQ is a little on the thin side, but there are lots of positives to report. There are no fees and the minimum deposit is just £10. There are also more mobile phone payment options here than at any other casino we have reviewed. So if you are looking to spin on your mobile and make quick deposits charged to your phone then this the place to do it. Furthermore, Paypal is accepted too.

Payout Speed 10/10

MrQ has a reputation for paying out quickly. When you make a withdrawal there is a message on the account page telling you that it can take one or two days for the transaction to be processed but in reality most punters report much quicker turn-around time. We tested this across two withdrawals.

Customer Support 7/10

Should you require assistance with any aspect of your MrQ account, seek out the “Help & FAQ” section. This can either be found at the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu or at the foot of the page. It contains details regarding four different options.

First of all, there’s a fairly detailed FAQ page, which is split into eight different categories. If you don’t get any joy, you can also reach out to a live chat agent. This service has now been extended to 8am to 11pm Monday to Sunday. If you need help outside of those hours, you can leave a message and await a reply inside 24 hours.

This represents a solid but unspectacular performance from MrQ in the area of customer support. Live chat is definitely a “must have” for any online casino these days, so that’s a positive, but it could be improved by 24/7 opening hours.

The lack of a telephone number to reach the team is also somewhat disappointing. But in fairness to the support agents, they are knowledgeable, quick to respond and professional in their responses. Finally, it was mildly amusing to see an online casino offering up a good old fashioned postal address for correspondence!

KYC Process 7/10

The Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are part of life for gamblers in the UK now. If you choose to deposit more than a few hundred pounds per month, or make a significant withdrawal, then you will be required to provide documents to proof your ID and / or payment method.

MrQ does not score well here because there is no automated upload via your account pages. Instead you are asked to send documents via email to  verification@mrq.com which is less convenient and less secure.
