I played 200 spins on Big Bass Bonanza Amazon Xtreme for real money at Casumo to test the game for this review. Here is how that looked:

So, despite playing with the Ante Bet on and more scatters on the reels 200 spins was not enough to unlock the free spins round at any point. I did however get lucky on just my 4th spin when our fisherman netted the fish money symbols on the reels with a value of £1.07 and a 20x multipliers to produce a 214.2x win. Which shows, you don’t have to be in the bonus round to score big wins. The rest of the session produced very little of note however as the 3rd scatter proved elusive and Amazon Xtreme behaved predictably for a high variance game.

Amazon Xtreme is the most interesting of all the Big Bass slots in design terms, setting it apart from other fishing slots out there. Pragmatic Play are taking you right into the heart of the Amazon forests with rich, dense jungle all around, a sleepy fisherman on a little wooden boat and the bubbling river beneath where the reel set sits. In the background a cheerful tropical tune plays. The same illustrative style is used as you find in the previous Big Bass games, including the symbols which are all bright and cheery. Overall the vibe is fun and upbeat and the style is rich and immersive.

To start, you need to land 3 or more scatters which gets you 10 free spins.

Despite giving us a rough ride in testing Amazon Xtreme feels like the best in the Big Bass series to date. The visuals and atmosphere are superb thanks to the fine artwork and fun soundtrack that makes the experience of playing a friendly, cheerful one.

Perhaps what impresses most when playing this slot is the evolution of ideas from the first Big Bass slot to this one, some 2 ½ years later. Pragmatic Play have done what every good game developer does in a series. They’ve kept everything that made the original so popular whilst adding on enough new elements to make playing the latest iteration worthwhile.
