Gates of Olympus 1000 showed everything it had to offer over 200 spins. Initially it was a tough play – I don’t recall seeing any multipliers in the first 40 spins and the hit rate seemed low. However, things moved up a gear later in the session and overall I counted 41 winning spins out of 200. That makes a 20.05% hit rate which is about average for slots like these.

There is plenty of scope for thrills in a game with a free spins round configured like this one and Gates of Olympus 1000 didn’t disappoint. The bonus triggered twice. The first time brought up a 35.35x win but the second was more impressive at 99.9x thanks to a total multiplier of 20x by the final of 12 spins. That’s a taster of what this game can do. The thrill is in building a big total multiplier bit by bit as the round plays out which can turn even the smallest wins of 2x or 3x into something much bigger.

Finally, I would add that multiplier symbols in the base game were a rarity. That might just be my session but I felt like the game wasn’t built to dish them out that often. Having said that, the biggest win in 200 spins – 102.4x – came from a spin where an elusive 250x multiplier appeared out of nowhere. So it can happen, as shown in this screen shot.

In both base game and free spins round, multiplier symbols in green, blue, purple, red and diamond colors, can drop onto any position on the reels, heralded by a dramatic lightning bolt.
