Theme and Design
Gold Diggers Paradise!
Make no mistake, this game is about gold, or more specifically, gold coins. The gold-framed reel set sits in a vault, the floor covered in gold coins, with a smiling gold piggy sitting on top. Green and gold light emanates from this gleaming stash. It’s not subtle, and says we’re here for one thing. So let’s crack on.

RTP and Variance
Gold Pigger comes with 2 RTP rates – 96.1% and 94.2%. Check in the game settings wherever you play to see which rate the game is set to. It’s always better to play at the higher RTP rate when you can to give yourself the best chance of a positive return on your wagering.
This is a medium variance slot, so it will not be as volatile as many of the other games we review on our site. The win distribution will be relatively even. In fact, in the game information sheet provided to slot site operators Fantasma say that the win rate is 24.67% which means roughly 1 in 4 spins will produce a win of some kind.
Maximum Win
The maximum win possible on a single spin in Gold Pigger is 8,086.8x. That’s not bad for a medium variance slot, meaning you can win £1,617.36 with the 20p minimum bet. If you prefer chasing down bigger prizes, check out our list of slots with the highest max wins.
Symbols and Paytable
Gold PIgger plays on a reel set with 6 reels, each displaying 4 rows. It is a win ways game which means you need to land 3 or more identical low value pay symbols or 2 or more identical premium symbols on adjacent reels from left to right, starting at the left most reel, to trigger a win. The row position does not matter in this case. This creates 4,096 win ways per spin (4x4x4x4x4x4).

There are 11 pay symbols in the game. The low value ones are the cards, 9 through to Ace. These are valued at from 0.2x for 3 9s up to 1.4x for 6 Aces. The premiums are the dice, chips, wads of money, gold bars and blue crystals. These are valued at from 0.2x for 2 dice up to 5x for 6 crystals.
There is also a Wild that can land only reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. It substitutes for any pay symbol to complete a win way.
Features and Gameplay
Gold Pigger is stacked with features. At it’s heart is a simple Coin or fixed Jackpot Collect, triggered when the right combination of Coins and Collect symbols land. There are also Re-Spins, Free Spins with super-sized symbols, and a Hold and Win game.
This is how it all works:
Coin, Jackpot Collects and the Coin Collect Multiplier
Coins show up a lot.
They land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and take on a value of from 0.3x to 0.9x your bet. You also have Jackpot symbols also landing on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, displaying one of four jackpot names – Mini (10x), Minor (25x), Major (100x) or Mega (500x).
In order to activate either of these symbol types and award their prizes you must land Collect Symbols at the same time. These ONLY land on reels 1 and 6.
But before any payout is made, the Coin Collect Multiplier is applied to the total win value from the Coin and Jackpot symbols. The Coin Collect Multiplier is taken from a meter that you’ll see to the left of the grid. It can progress through the following levels – 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x or 10x. In the base game, if you land a Collect Symbol WITHOUT a Coin or Jackpot symbol, then the multiplier value increases by 1 level.
That’s how Coin and Jackpot payouts are made.
NOTE: Fantasma say the odds of hitting this feature are 1 in 33 spins.
Rich Piggy Re-Spin
This is a mini Hold and Win game activated by landing TWO Collect symbols at once in the base game. Now, ALL visible Coin and Jackpot symbols lock into place and reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 re-spin to reveal ONLY Coins, Jackpots or Blank symbols.
Once the re-spin has played out then ALL Coin and Jackpots are added together and the Coin Collect Multiplier is applied to the total win before payout.
NOTE: Fantasma say the odds of hitting this feature are 1 in 261 spins.
Big Bacon Spin
This feature enables you to win if Coins or Jackpot symbols land but NO Coin Collect. It’s an extra spin in which reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 combine to spin as ONE reel. But now ONLY Big Coin, Grand and Blank symbols can land.
Big Coins are special 4x4 symbols that only land during the Big Bacon Spin feature. If you land one of the Big Coins, then it breaks down into 16 individual Coins, each displaying a prize value OR a jackpot value. Once the spin has taken place, all Coin values and Jackpot values are added together and paid out.
The Grand symbol is the top value, 5,000x fixed jackpot prize. It MUST land fully visible for the prize to be activated.
NOTE: Fantasma say the odds of hitting this feature are 1 in 235 spins.
Piggy Vault Bonus
Finally, the main event is the Piggy Vault Bonus. This is triggered by landing FOUR bonus symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 on one spin in the base game.
You start with 3 spins in which every position on the reel set spins independently.
ONLY coins or blanks can land during this feature. If a coin lands, it sticks and the counter re-sets to 3 spins. And when a column is filled with coins it is cleared. All coins values are added together and the Bonus Multiplier increases by 1 level.
When you run out of spins then the value of all Coins is added together. But before the payout is made, a Bonus Multiplier is applied to the total win value. This is taken from the Bonus Multiplier Meter that sits to the left of the reels, beneath the Coin Collect Multiplier.
It also has 10 levels - 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x or 10x. To progress it, you need to land just THREE Bonus Symbols in the base game on one spin. Each time, it goes up one level.
NOTE: Fantasma say the odds of hitting this feature are 1 in 326 spins.
Final Verdict
This is a pure gamblers slot, nicely configured by Fantasma with their usual array of progressive features that keep you playing even when the wins aren’t coming your way. In particular the Coin Collect Multiplier is a good one as the next Coin Collect is never far off and a good multiplier can give it a real boost. The caveat with this game is that the big features rarely drop. The numbers from Fantasma say once in 250 or more spins for the main features, which seems a bit tight for a medium variance game. The flipside to that is the 24% win rate keeps the money ticking over as you wait. So go in with your eyes open, and have fun!
Testing Notes
I played 200 spins on Gold Pigger on Fantasma Games test server prior to release to test the game. This is what happened.
- Stake Size: 1
- Start balance: 1,000
- End balance: 9,923.95
- Win Rate: 22% (44 winning spins in 200)
- Biggest Win: 12x
- Hold and Win Round: 0
Whilst the win rate isn’t bad in this game at just under 25%, the features don’t drop that regularly. I counted 10 coin collects in 200 spins, roughly 5%, with a biggest payout of just 10x. I had one Rich Piggy Re-Spin, which brought up a 12x, one Big Bacon Spin, and NO Piggy Vaults. To be fair, the game info sheet tells us it can take 320 spins to unlock that final bonus, so perhaps 200 just wasn’t enough. It was enough spins to get a feel for the game though, and it is fun. It keeps you entertained because even when you are not winning you are at least growing the multipliers or filling the piggy bank to bursting point, when finally it will break and give you that Big Bacon Spin and the chance to play for that 5,000x Mega JP.
