Multiplier Wild
The wild performs its standard role of replacing all other icons to help form wins, but in Hot Fiesta it also comes with a random Multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x. The multipliers come into play when the wild forms part of the win. When more than one is part of the win, then they are added together. Additionally, obtaining 2, 3 or 5 Wilds delivers prizes of 2x, 10x and 40x respectively.
The Free Spins Feature
To trigger free spins you must land 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. At this point, from 9 to 27 free spins are randomly awarded AND each Wild landing becomes Sticky.
And there is further enhancements to this feature – not only are the wilds sticky, and carry a multiplier of between 2x and 5x, but they are also Roaming icons. After each spin they will move position on the reels. This creates a new element of randomness and tension during the free spins round. Combining 5x multipliers can also help achieve wins close to the 5,000x max.
Our Verdict
Hot Fiesta plays like a pretty average slot – there are no great surprises or unexpected features. However, for those who love high variance action and the classic multiplier wilds and free spins combination, it does what it says on the tin. The roaming element does provide at least some unexpected hits in the free spins round which is where you need to get to have any chance of triggering big wins. However, Pragmatic Play have produced more interesting slots in their time, and if what you are looking for is innovation and craziness, you might prefer to dip into Big Time Gaming’s stunning Wild Flower game instead, also due for release in April 2021.
