A Nostalgia Trip From BTG As We Head To A Seaside Arcade

BTG sometimes like to give their games familiar, down to earth settings, from the suburban garden in Fireworks to the promenade in Pop. Trigger Happy has that feel too, taking us to a classic arcade hall, the kind you might find on a seaside town pier, where you might go fruitlessly dipping for fluffy toys or play old skool arcade games. The 5x5 grid is set in a box with different colored fluffy critters crammed into every space. An 80s-style electro tune plays in the background to complete the nostalgia trip. I’m not sure it will be everyone’s cup of tea, but its certainly memorable.

RTP and Variance

Trigger Happy has two possible RTP rates – 96.58% and 94%. It’s down to your slot site operator to choose which rate to run the game at. 96.58% is a good RTP, but 94% less so. Symbols and Paytable

This is a cluster pays slot playing out on a 5 reel and 5 row grid. The name of the game is to land 5 or more identical symbols all in horizontally or vertically adjacent positions. You can create huge clusters this way for big payouts.

There are 7 fluffy critter pay symbols in the table in lilac, yellow, orange, green, blue, red and purple. Their values range from 0.1x for 5 lilac right up to 50x for 15 or more purple. Note that the critters have different faces too, from the one-eyed lilac one up to the moustachioed, 2-eyed purple one!

There are also multi-colored critters that are wilds. These substitute for any pay symbol to complete a cluster but have not pay value of their own.

Features and Gameplay

BTG use a really neat trick in this game to activate wilds, multipliers and free spins and your eyes will be transfixed on the targets that move around the screen, and those bonus panels that reveal features. Pay attention to how it all works ...

Cascading Wins

BTG are one of the most frequent exponents of the cascading wins feature, also called Reactions. After each win, winning symbols are removed from the grid and new ones drop in to replace them.  This process keeps going until no more wins occur.

Targets and Wild Multipliers

Wilds appear frequently in this game. In fact, on EVERY spin and with every Reaction a new Wild is added to the grid. To make it fun, a target appears over the grid on the position in which the Wild will appear.

Bonus Panels With Multipliers, Bombs and Coins

Look to the left and bottom of the grid. There you will see two bonus panels which light up with each spin to add enhancements to your spins.

Multipliers – If a multiplier lights up on a panel on the same row or reel as the target that adds the wild, then the multiplier value is added to the wild.

Bombs – when a bomb lights up on a panel, it takes out it’s full row or reel of symbols, adding up to FOUR wilds in place of the symbols that were there.

Coins – if the target position aligns with a coin on both panels then 8 free spins are awarded.

Free Spins With TWO Wild Targets

During the free spins round TWO targets appear on every spin and reaction to add more wilds to the grid and possibly activate the features from the two panels.

And a free spins round can be extended by aligning coins on both panels with either of the target positions on a spin or reaction. That gets you 3 more spins each time.

Win Exchange and Gamble Feature

It is also possible to enter the free spins round via the Win Exchange. Where you score a win of 100x or more, you can simply exchange that prize for 8 spins.

And if you score a win of between 25x and 100x then you can exchange that win for a gamble on the spin of the wheel to win 8 free spins. The odds of a win depend on how big your base game win was. Keep in mind that if you lose, you lose your prize and go back to the base game.
