Dazzle Me Megaways™
By NetEnt
Dazzle Me Megaways is an expanding reels slot from NetEnt with 6 reels and up to 99,225 paylines per spin. It is a very simple game with a relaxed feel and a medium variance. It’s all about triggering runs of cascading wins in the base game to build up payouts. To help you, up to 3 Dazzling Wild Reels appear at random positions on the grid on any spin. Then, in the free spins round Dazzling Reels appear on EVERY spin.
This is a fun and less frenetic Megaways experience than you find in most games. But it still has good potential at 10,000x. Spins start from 10p.

Theme and Design
Much Like The Original, But With Added Rows!
This Megaways-powered sequel to Dazzle Me slot from NetEnt doesn’t do too much to change the design formula of the original. The vibe is laid back with a Xmas tree shaped reel set filled with different colored gems, blurred out fairy lights in the background and a generic electro soundtrack to accompany your spins. To my eyes, it feels a bit like this game has been built to be as inoffensive as possible - Nolimit City this is definitely NOT! During the game, as consecutive cascading wins play out on the reels symbols explode with a synth-chord sequence to help you celebrate but its a little underwhelming and in truth I wasn’t blown away though I’m sure the style will appeal to some players.
RTP and Variance
Dazzle Me Megaways has four RTP settings – 96.1%, 95.08%, 94.09% or 91.06%. Which you play at is at the discretion of your casino and whilst most will run the game at the top setting I recommend that you verify the rate before you spend your cash. You can do that by hitting the hamburger menu button at the bottom left of the screen then scrolling the information until you come to 'Return to Player'.
The volatility is medium, which is unusual for a Megaways game, most of which are much more volatile. However, as the original Dazzle Me game has a low variance it’s kind of in keeping that NetEnt chose to lift it only part way for this sequel.
Maximum Win
The top payout available in Dazzle Me Megaways is 10,000x. That is very good for a medium variance game with a low minimum stake of just 10p.
Symbols and Paytable
The reel configuration here is a bit different to what you normally find in a Megaways game but all the more interesting for it.
The initial format is 6 reels, each displaying a minimum of 2 rows of symbols each. The maximum rows on each reel are as follows: 5-5-7-7-9-9. That gives you up to a whopping 99,225 win-ways on each spin (5x5x7x7x9x9).
There are 10 pay symbols in the paytable. These are the low value gems in turquoise, pink, lilac, green, purple and orange. These are valued at from 0.1x for 3 turqoise up to 0.9x for 6 orange. There are also 4 premium symbols – a clover, a heart, a bell and a lucky 7. These are valued at from 0.4x for 3 clovers up to 3x for 6 7s.
Watch out as well for the huge Diamond that stands for Wild, always ready to step in and replace any other symbol bar the Scatter to form wins. And finally, fingers crossed for landing the simple blue icon with ‘Free Spins’ written on it that represents the bonus scatter.
Features and Gameplay
One thing I did like about Dazzle Me Megaways™ is that it’s a bit of old and new as it mixes some classic Megaways™ features with NetEnt’s own new and innovative gameplay.
Here is how it works.
Avalanche Wins Trigger Cumulative Win Sequences
Totally classic Megaways™ stuff here – after any winning spin the winning symbols are removed from the reels and replaced with new ones. This can create further wins, and the process repeats until no more wins are created.
Dazzling Wild Reels Feature Drop Randomly In Base Game
The core feature of the game is the Dazzling Wild Reels one – these may occur in the base game at random but are GURANTEED to appear on every free spin. When they do, up to 3 reels from numbers 2 to 6 are chosen as Wild Reels, increasing the win potentially significantly on these spins.
Free Spins With Guaranteed Dazzling Wild Reels
Triggering the Free Spins Round requires at least 4 Scatters to appear anywhere on the grid. That gets you 8 spins. Every additional Scatter after four gets you 4 further spins. The backdrop now changes to have an orange hue and at least one reel becomes a Dazzling Wild Reel. You’ll notice a counter above each reel. The number displayed is the number of wilds that appear in any Dazzling Wild Reel that lands there. When a wild on that reel appears in a winline, so the number on the counter increases by one.
Effectively this is setting up a nice progressive win system where more wins push the counters higher and boost the potential still further. You can see how a free spins round with a significant number of free plays and a good run of Dazzling Wild reels could produce some ‘Dazzling’ Wins!
Final Verdict
Dazzle Me Megaways is not your usual Megaways game. With dialled-down volatility, less paylines and fewer features than many others in the series, it won’t appeal to the same high risk thrill seekers as classics like Bonanza. I found it difficult to enjoy for prolonged periods of base game spins where not much seemed to happen. However, I would concede that the free spins round with its clever progressive wild reels feature and re-triggers suggests this quiet game might just have a dark side that can be teased out from time to time. That 10,000x potential certainly suggests so too!
Testing Notes
I played 200 spins on Dazzle Me Megaways for real money at Duelz Casino to test the game and this is what happened.
- Stake Size: £0.1
- Start balance: £68.15
- End balance: £56.72
- Biggest Win: 12.6x
- Free Spins: 0
- Session Time: 21 minutes 30 seconds
Dazzle Me Megaways didn’t inspire me much over 200 spins. In fact, for a medium variance game the stats were surprisingly poor with just 10 Dazzling Wild Reels spins (5%) and NO free spins round at all. That wouldn’t surprise me if this was a highly volatile game, but it’s not. So, it was disappointing. And without a good regular base game feature things can got pretty tedious quite quickly too! For the record, the best win over 200 spins was just a 12.6x which came from a nice run of 5 cascades. You can see the outcome in this screenshot.
