There is no denying the charm of this game. The graphics and sound affects take you straight to the arcade hall on a seaside pier and its refreshing to play a slot with such a simple format. This game is sometimes described as medium variance, though we categorised it as low variance ourselves. In truth it sits somewhere between and that showed in this test where the win rate was surprisingly low at just 16.5% of spins. That said, the balance rose and fell a few times and the wins were good when they did drop thanks to the generous paytable, and despite the long wait for the bonus feature to trigger, the game never felt boring.

The all-important free spins round dropped just once in 200 spins and delivered a 65x win including 3 cash collects in 10 free spins. This feature might have been ripped off and repeated in many other fishing slots since, but it is as compelling as ever. It’s A Little Dated, But Fishin’ Frenzy Has Retained It’s Charm

The design of Fishin’ Frenzy might divide people. It’s not as flashy as some of the more modern 3D slots (remember this was released back in 2014). However, its cartoon charm, colourful symbols, and under-the-sea theme are probably what most people are looking for from a fishing slot. The interface is user-friendly first and foremost, making it a great choice for beginners.
