Theme & Design

The theme here is jungles and alpha animals lurking in the trees – gorillas and tigers. Jungle Fortune takes place in a lush setting with what look like Aztec pyramids in the background. With strange green mists drifting over the landscape and low-key jungle drums and pipes as the soundtrack, the overall vibe is relaxing.

So, if you want to escape into a different world when you’re spinning the reels this could be a good option for you. It’s all nicely rendered and in short, a good-looking game.

Jungle Fortune has two RTP levels: 96% and 94%. Which you play at will be at the discretion of the casino where you play. We loaded up the game at several UK slot sites to see which setting the game was on. This is what we found:

Jungle Fortune is one of Blueprint Gaming’s more volatile slots so the wins will be infrequent. However, accumulating high value multipliers above the reels in the free spins round could tigger some big payouts as we will find out.

What Is Maximum Win?

Maximum win refers to the maximum amount a player can win from one spin. It is expressed as a multiple of the stake. For example, where the maximum win is 100,000x, from a £1 stake, the maximum win would be £100,000.  

The biggest available win here is 10,000x. This is sizable and standard for high-risk Blueprint games now. Recent releases like Ballin, Rise of Atlantis and D10S have all been capped at 10,000x. However, it is significantly smaller than the kind of blockbusters wins you can achieve with games from rival providers like Nolimit City, whose slots like Tombstone RIP (300,000x) offer far higher jackpots.

Symbols and Paytable

This is a 6-reel slot with 4 rows and 4,096 paylines to score wins on. You’ll need to land at least three identical symbols across a line to trigger a win.

Overall the paytable values are not huge, but remember you have the chance to enhance all wins with the multiplier features.

Low value symbols are the cards 9 through to Ace with little value – you’ll get back 01.x for three 9s and just 1.5x for six Aces. However, the picture premiums – lizard, parrot, tiger and gorilla – offer better returns. Six tigers for example will earn you a 5x payout and a rare hit of six gorillas will bag you a 10x payout.

Then of course, there are the Wilds, critical to the gameplay. They substitute for all other symbols to complete wins but have not value on their own.

Features and Gameplay

Jungle Fortune is all about the Wilds.

When a Wild lands and forms part of a win then it MAY, but NOT always, trigger re-spins. When this happens then all winning symbols from the triggering spin lock in place and the Wild takes on a multiplier value.

If the re-spin enhances the win, then another re-spin is granted, the wild multiplier increases by 1x and the new winning symbols lock in place.

This is creating the chance for some nice payouts as those multipliers grow and more symbols lock in place creating the chance for bigger winlines.

Free Spins can be triggered by landing 3 or more scatter diamonds.

  • 3 scatters gets you 10 free spins
  • 4 scatters gets you 15 free spins
  • 5 scatters gets you 20 free spins
  • 6 scatters gets you 30 free spins

The action switches to night-time mode and now there are multipliers at the top of reels 2, 3 and 4 and their value is increased each time a wild lands on the corresponding reel. These multiplier values keep increasing and do NOT re-set until the free spins round end.

When a Wild lands and forms part of a winning line it takes on the value of the multiplier at the top of its reel.

The Final Verdict

During a 20-minute testing session for real money we triggered wild re-spins twice and unlocked the free spins round with three scatters just once. This is pretty good for a high variance game. The wild re-spins didn’t produce much – a 20x win – and when the 10 free spins ended we had clocked up just a 77x win. Nothing special, but it’s easy to see how Jungle Fortune could turn from a laid-back slot that ticks along at a slow pace into wild multiplier mayhem very quickly if you had 30 free spins in your pocket and started racking up high value reel multipliers in that bonus round.

So overall, a good game and worth a spin if you enjoy re-spin features or the jungle theme.
