Wanted Wildz
By Red Tiger
Wanted Wildz is a high variance wild west slot from Red Tiger partners, Max Win Gaming. It is a 5-reel game with 20 paylines and simple gameplay. In the free spins round, 5 spins are awarded along with a progressive multiplier that starts at 2x and grows up to 100x to be applied to all wins that include wilds symbols. Extra spins up to 20 are also granted as you progress. The maximum win is 15,000x and spins start from 10p.

Theme and Design
Wanted Wildz follows a classic wild west slot route. The backdrop is very typically a dusty main street in an old town with saloon bars and sheriff’s offices to the right and left, all bathed in an orange glow from the sun. The reel set is metal-plated and stacked with iconic wild west images of cowboy hats, money bags, and cowboy boots. Nothing particularly exciting about that, but things do pick up once you start spinning. Pistol shots get fired on a regular basis across the reels, particularly in the free spins feature, and the skeletal wild cowboy with gun who has a demonic look in his eye makes regular appearances.
Its fun stuff but there is nothing to compare to the drama of great western slots like Tombstone RIP or Dead or Alive 2.
RTP and Variance
The RTP in Wanted Wildz is 96.05%. That is solid, around average for the UK and gives you good value for your wagering. This is one of Red Tiger’s high variance slots so it can be unpredictable but does have the capacity to kick out some big win sequences at times. If you like high risk for high reward then this is the slot for you. You might also want to check out our favourite high volatility slots list with some classics to try.
Maximum Win
The top payout in Wanted Wildz is 15,000x. That is good potential, competitive with most high variance slots though there are some out there that blow this one out of the water. Check out list of highest max win slots for more details. And if you want to stay wild west, Dead or Alive 2 has a max of 111,111x and Tombstone RIP tops the lot with 300,000x!
Symbols and Paytable
Wanted Wildz has a straight forward game structure. It is a 5 reel and 3 row slot with 20 active paylines in play at all times. To trigger wins you will need to land 3 or more identical symbols across a line from left to right. Simple.
The paytable has average value but much of the action here is driven by multiplier wilds so there is plenty of opportunity to boost those wins. Low payers are the cards 9 through to Ace, valued at up to 3x for 5 Aces on a line. The premiums are the cowboy boots, the bag of coins, the Stetson hat and the sheriffs badge. The latter pays out a decent 25x for five on a payline.
In Wanted Wildz though your attention at all times will be on trying to land Wilds, represented by the skeleton with his Stetson and mask, which subs for any other symbol to complete win lines and pays out a whopping 50x for five on a line.
Features and Gameplay
If you like simplicity in your slots then you will like this game. There aren’t a whole lot of features in Wanted Wildz but those that are here are tried and tested and executed well.
Random Multiplier Wilds Of Up To 100x
The great thing about the game is that it lives up to its title, dropping wins frequently.
But thing get hotter still when this random feature drops. Now, any wild on the grid comes with a multiplier of 2x, 5x, 25x or 100x. And if your payline is completed with one of these as a part of it, then the multiplier is applied to the win.
In a fun animation, to find out which multiplier is applied, pistol shots are fired at the ladder to the left of the reels where each value is shown. The one that is shot is applied.
Free Spins With Wild Multiplier Ladder
You may have noticed the Wild Multiplier Ladder that appears to the left of the reel set. This comes into play in the free spins round which is triggered by landing 3 or more of the Wanted Poster scatters.
You get 5 free spins at the start and begin at rung 1 of the Wild Multiplier Ladder with a 2x. This value is applied to ALL wilds on the reels. And by landing further scatters you will move further up the Ladder as follows:
- 2 Scatters – Up to 5x and 5 more free spins
- 4 Scatters – Up to 25x and 5 more free spins
- 6 Scatters – Up to 100x and 5 more free spins
If you can land 3 more scatters on one spin you will also get a further 5 free spins.
And to help you in your quest for big wins still further, during the feature, every Wild that lands is Sticky. So you have lots more chances to complete paylines.
Final Verdict
Red Tiger have opted to keep things simple with Wanted Wildz, a strategy that is not uncommon in Western slots. With the exception of NLC’s Tombstone RIP it seems that most studios opt to keep things clean with just a few high potential features to drive the action. And fans of the sticky wild and the multiplier in Westerns will be right at home here. Though you better be at home with high volatility to enjoy this one too.
Yes, Wanted Wildz is as tough as old cowboy boots in that respect. The base game gives little away, although every now and then you might get lucky with a good random wild multiplier in the 5x or 25x range (never seen a 100x though they are reputedly there). But the bonus round is where it’s at. Like all good high volatility games there is a fun progressive element here and your objective is to keep things going as long as possible by landing more scatters to add more spins and increase your multipliers. And with those wilds all being sticky throughout the round, a screen packed with 100x wild multipliers is the end goal!
Wanted Wildz arrived at the same time as two other big western slots – Trail of Blood by Quickspin and Dangerous 5 by Push Gaming. It more than holds its own against those two. Its top payout comes in just under the 17,000x provided by Trail of Blood, but its gameplay was more enjoyable – Trail of Blood is an even sparser slot with just locked wilds and free spins to play for (no multipliers). Both are far more volatile that Dangerous 5 which has a much lower to payout of just 5,000x and is built to appeal to a wider audience with its medium variance.
In summary, Wanted Wildz just about does enough to stand out in a crowded genre of slot and for a lucky few will certainly deliver some memorable wins.
Testing Notes
I played 200 spins in demo mode on Wanted Widlz at Casumo to test the game for this review. These are the numbers from that session:
- Stake Size: £1
- Start balance: £998.20
- End balance: £1,050.70
- Biggest Win: 111x
- Free Spins rounds: 1
- Session Time: 13 minutes and 8 seconds
The first thing to say is that time whizzes by in Wanted Wildz like those bullets – 200 spins in just over 13 minutes is fast, so be ready to burn through cash quickly. As you would expect from a high variance game, the free spins round was hard to unlock but did come up once, producing a healthy 111x win. I climbed the Wild ladder to 25x getting 10 extra spins on the way, giving me 15 in total. Elsewhere, lots of wilds dropped in the base game, though frequently without any return. Altogether an entertaining play, though super-quick.
