Slots players familiar with other SuprPlay sites, NY Spins and Voodoo Dreams, will be at home at Duelz Casino as it runs on the same platform. The website uses the same layout with navigation in a side bar down the left of the screen and the main game menu in the center area.

This is an immersive brand meaning the design reflects the casino’s theme which is one of ‘duelling’ with other players to see who can score the most slots wins in a 1v1 battle. A shield in the logo reflects this as does a cartoon meadow strewn with diamonds and other trophies on the home page.  You will also notice that when the game menu comes up, the backdrop changes to a kind of medieval dungeon with stone walls and a skeleton chained to the wall. That is the arena in which your ‘dueling’ takes place.

The overall vibe is a kind of fantasy dungeons and dragons role play one. You choose your own avatar and make friends to do battle with. The imagery looks nice and makes Duelz stand out from the crowd. However, at times it did make it hard to read some of the game logos when scanning the menu.

Registration

Registration is very easy at Duelz. They say it should take under 60 seconds but for me it took probably more like 90. No complaints though – it is easy to follow thanks to a 3-step form that appears in a pop-up window shown in our screen shot below. As with most casinos, initial verification checks are done behind the scenes and you can deposit and play without submitting any documents.

Account Pages

Once you are logged in, to access your account page you’ll need to hit the avatar link above your name on the left of the screen. It may take a few minutes to orientate yourself here as Duelz mixes up its normal account functions with the bespoke features of the site. You’ll therefore find Pending Withdrawals, Verification and Responsible Gambling tools next to The Locker Room where you choose your avatar. It’s a little confusing at first but you will soon get used to it.

What is important to know is that to deposit and withdraw you have to access a seperate area through the green ‘Deposit’ link. This bit is really easy to use and nicely designed. Your latest payment service is saved but you can easily jump to another using the logos at the bottom of the screen.

Altogether, Duelz is a fun site to use, whether you want to go all in, set up an avatar and take part in duelling or simply play slots as you do anywhere else. Information was clear and informative and finding what we were looking for was never a problem.

Megaways Slots

At Duelz Casino there is a special Megaways tab to browse games with Big Time Gaming’s expanding reels game engine. There are 65 titles listed including Big Bass Bonanza Megaways, Gonzo’s Quest Megaways and Fruit Shop Megaways.

This is a good selection but if you want more choice you could try Casumo with 176 Megaways titles or Yako Casino from L and L Europe with more than 120 Megaways games.

Game Menu, Search Functions and Game Window

The game menu is simple to navigate, bringing up the latest or most popular games at the top and allowing you to filter by type – new, jackpot, drop and win, Megaways – or search by specific title. These are important options when it comes to a huge catalogue like this one. However, there is no option for more sophisticated searches by game supplier, RTP, paylines or game feature for example. So exploring the catalogue in more depth is not easy.

Duelz offers a few regular promotions to its players including a 10% weekly cashback – credited each Friday to those who have wagered during the week.

However, the main event here is duels and tournaments. These set Duelz apart from its competitors. Duelling allows you to take on other players on the site who are online at the same time as you. It’s easy to do and quite un-intrusive so you can switch if off if you don’t want to take part.

The winner of any duel is awarded points for their hard work. Collect enough and you can swap them for Treasure Chests which reveal cash prizes and bonuses. As you collect Treasure Chests you will also move further up the leaderboards displayed on the site, unlocking extra rewards at each level.

It’s a classic gamified loyalty program, the kind you also find on sites like Casumo and it adds another layer of fun to the Duelz experience.

We entered a Duel ourselves to see how it worked. Here is what happened:

We picked our own avatar – a Wizard character

We picked an arena to fight in– the Iron Dungeon

We chose 5 spells – lightning, strength, illusion, healing, mirror

The Duel began.

We played the duel on a simple 3×1 slot with cards for each position on the reel. You spin, they turn and reveal Jack to Ace symbols, or picture symbols with payouts of 2x to 100x. The duel lasted around 10 minutes. You have your cash balance and your Health Points balance, starting at 75,000. As you win and lose, and so does your opponent, your HP balance goes up and down and your spells help to protect you and damage your opponent.

We won our duel by finishing with more HP than our opponent. That unlocked a chest with points and valuables to help in our next duel. And we levelled-up as well off the back of it as you can see in our screen shot.

Overall, the experience was fun, but quite time consuming. I guess if you played every day you’d get into it, especially with the leaderboards to keep track of. And it is certainly an original format for a casino loyalty feature.

Cashier Options 7/10

The payment options for funding at Duelz include debit cards, eWallets and prepaid cards. This is a good selection with the caveat that the minimum deposit is £20 here, with the exception of Trustly which is £10. And if you use either Neteller or Skrill then you won’t be eligible to receive the sign-up offer.

There is also a 2.5% fee that comes with deposits made with Mastercard and Visa in the UK which is unusual.

I tested the withdrawal process at Duelz Casino. I made a withdrawal or £20 to Paypal on a Monday morning at 09.00am.

Customer Support 8/10

Duelz Casino run a 24/7 support service on live chat and email. So, even if you are playing through the night then you can speak to someone on the team if you have an issue. There is no phone support however.

I have found the support service at this casino to be very quick to respond, whatever time I contact them. in most cases the first response to a live chat query is under 2 minutes, often in 30 seconds. You speak directly to a support agent, NOT an AI bot, and they are knowledgable and helpful.

The service could be improved by supplementing the live chat with an FAQs page with answers to common questions. Almost all casinos have this, except for Duelz.

KYC Process 9/10

At Duelz, if you receive a request to send ID documents to verify your ID then you can easily do this by using the verification area in your account. SuprPlay have outsourced this part of their operation to Hooyu.com. This is becoming more commonplace now – Hooyu is also used by Betfred Games and the L and L Europe slot sites like Pub Casino and All British Casino.

I had some issues getting the photo IDs recognised, and it took 10 minutes to submit documents, but after that they were approved in under a minute. This is much quicker than submitting documents on email for a manual check from customer support.
