An Eccentric Slot With Fun 3-D Style

This bonkers slot is done in a 3-d illustrative style with a genie-type devil creature with a pot belly and lots of bling watching over things and sometimes appearing on the reels. The backdrop features a rocky landscape, and lots of gold coins on the ground, all bathed in red light. Quite what Red Tiger were smoking when they dreamed this one up, who knows? It’s quirky and humorous, but doesn’t quite come up to the standards of other Satanic games we can think of like NLC’s latest Satanic adventure, Devil’s Crossroad, or Pragmatic Play’s Hellvis Wild.

RTP and Variance

It looks like Lucifer might have already got his sneaky way here as he’s pinched some of the game’s RTP before we even spin! It comes in at 95.71% which is under average. Though only by a small amount to be fair. But it all counts, and I’d prefer a 96% or above.

Never mind.  Let’s move onto the volatility, which is high, dictating an uneven win distribution and suggesting that Play With The Devil should be handled with care. It may be a grind at times but can also produce a few thrills out of nowhere.

Maximum Win

If you thought the RTP was a big tight. What about this? A high variance slot with a max win of just 2,523x. That is very unusual and one of the lowest I’ve seen in a long time. It doesn’t mean that the game isn’t worth playing. It still has some entertainment value, but its not for the jackpot chasers. Symbols and Paytable

The game has a very simple 5 reel and 3 row layout with 20 paylines available on every spin. Wins are triggered by landing 3 or more identical symbols across a line from left to right, starting at the left most reel.

There are 9 symbols in the paytable. The low value ones are the cards, 10 through to Ace. These are valued at up to 1.2x for 5 Aces on a line. The premiums are a mix of gold coins, piles of treasures, 2 scrolls wrapped up and what looks like a black magic book with a pentogram printed on the front. These are valued at up to 20x for the highest paying treasures.

There is also a Wild symbol, represented by the Devil himself, which will substitute in for any pay symbol to complete a payline. It also has the power to trigger the free spins as we will see in the next part.

Features and Gameplay

Devil Wild Triggers Free Spins and Coin Prizes 

The Devil is a powerful guy as you might expect.

You’ll notice a frame around the middle symbol on the reels – 3^rd reel in, 2^nd row down. IF the Devil Wild lands in this position then two things can happen:

• He will activate prizes from any Devil Coins that land elsewhere on the reels at the same time. Devil coins are gold and red with horns and display multipliers of 0.5x, 1x or 2x.
• Bonus Prizes, also with bet multipliers, displayed to the left of the reels MAY be unlocked. The four Bonus Prizes are Mini (5x), Minor (10x), Major (75x) and Mega (1,000x).

Fireballs and Free Spins

And finally, the Devil can also trigger the free spins when he lands in that center frame. To do so, he will throw fireballs at two locked chests that sit either side of the top of the reels.

If his fireballs succeed in unlocking the chests you get 6 free spins for one, or 12 free spins if both unlock.

The free spins are weighted in your favour because now the Devil locks in place on the center spot. Not only does this give you more chance of activating cions and bonus prizes, but it also means he lobs fireballs at the chests on every spin, potentially earning you another 6 or 12 depending on his success rate!
