Theme and Design
Pearls of Vishnu is a richly designed adventure slot bearing all the hallmarks of the Rich Wilde series. It looks like the setting is in front of some kind of ramshackle Indian temple out in the jungle somewhere. The reels are set in crumbling stone with vines growing all around them. With each cascade the winning stone tiles crack and drop off the grid with a slick animation. And in the background an epic orchestral number to accompany your spins. In short, just what you expect from a Play n Go game like this one.

RTP and Variance
Rich Wilde and the Pearls of Vishnu has 5 RTP rates for casino operators to choose from. They are 96.17%, 94.13%, 91.16%, 87.15% and 84.14%. Some UK slot sites will definitely run this game at the lower end of that range so it’s worth checking the RTP wherever you play to be sure you are getting value for money on your wagering. You can do this by hitting the ‘?’ under the reels then scrolling through the rules until you see Return to Player.
A good choice would be to play this slot at MrQ from Lindar Media which consistently runs all slots at the optimum RTP rates available.
Pearls of Vishnu bucks the trend a little by being a medium variance game. Most Rich Wilde slots are of a higher volatility and very unpredictable. This one should have a more even payout distribution.
Maximum Win
Reflecting that medium-level variance the max win here is nothing like you’ll find in other Rich Wilde games like Wandering City (10,000x) or Shield of Athena (10,000x). Instead the payouts are capped at a humble 2,000x. Not great by today’s standards and if you want to chase down bigger wins from the same provider then I recommend our list of Play n Go slots with the highest max wins instead.
Symbols and Paytable
Pearls of Vishnu follows a very simple slot format with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 paylines. Wins are triggered in the normal way by landing 3 or more identical symbols on a line from left to right starting at the left most reel.

There are 9 symbols in the table. The low value ones are the cards, 10 through to Ace, valued at from 0.15x for 3 10s up to 4x for 5 Aces. The premium symbols are the 4 sacred Hindu symbols, including the cow, elephant and Vishnu. These are valued at from 0.75x for 3 on a line up to 25x for 5 on a line.
Rich Wilde himself is the wild symbol of course, substituting for any pay symbol to complete a line and paying out at 80x for 5 on a line.
Features and Gameplay
Pearls of Vishnu might have a somewhat underwhelming max win and a dialled-down volatility but it actually boasts some pretty neat gameplay, including a 3-stage bonus round. Here is how it all works.
Cascading Wins and Progressive Multiplier
This is a cascading wins game. That means after any win, winning symbols are removed from the grid and new ones drop in to replace them. If more wins are created then the process repeats.
And in the style of NetEnt’s classic Gonzo’s Quest, each successive cascade pushes a win multiplier displayed on the right of the reels up one notch. It goes from 1x to 2x, 4x, 6x and then 10x. So, after 4 successive cascades any further wins are going to be multiplied by 10 before being credited.
15 Tokens Triggers The Bonus Game
During the base game you’ll notice a token meter displayed to the left of the reels. Each time the special token symbol lands, it increases by 1. Importantly, the meter does NOT re-set between spins. It just keeps going up.

If you can land 15 tokens during your session then you enter a unique 3 stage bonus game. At each stage as well as winning cash prizes you can collect keys to unlock the next level.
These are the 3 stages:
Wheel of Brahma – this is a prize wheel with 3 concentric circles. Each circle is divided into green, yellow, blue or red segments. Whichever segment the wheel lands on determines which prize is paid out or if a key is awarded. The prizes are displayed in a paytable to the left of the wheel.
If you collect the key then you move on to …
Wall of Shiva – a pick me game with cash prizes and keys hidden behind tiles in a wall.
Statue of Vishnu – another pick me game where you pick peals from the statue to reveal cash prizes only. The maximum win from this stage is 750x.

3 Pearls In The Base Game Triggers 10 Free Spins
Aside from collecting tokens you should also be looking to land pearl symbols in the base game. These are basically scatters. You need 3 or more to land on one spin to unlock the free spins round.
The round starts with 10 spins and crucially the progressive multiplier persists between spins. And now, instead of a token meter being displayed to the left of the reels, a pearl meter appears instead. Every 5 you collect grants another 10 spins up to a maximum of 50 free spins.
Pearls also become wild in the free spins round, substituting for any pay symbol to complete a payline. But they only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5.
Final Verdict
Rich Wilde and the Pearls of Vishnu is a worthy addition to the Rich Wilde series. It’s a much easier entry point for those who find the win distribution in high variance games to be too choppy. Production is high quality and the combination of the tried and tested cascading wins-progressive multiplier as well as an innovative bonus game means there is something familiar and something new to enjoy in the gameplay.
Testing Notes
I played 200 spins on Rich Wilde and the Pearls of Vishnu on Play n Go’s test servers prior to release to test the game. This is what happened.
- Stake Size: 1
- Start balance: 25,000
- End balance: 24,917.25
- Win Rate: 37.5% (75 winning spins in 200)
- Biggest Win: 16.35x
- Free Spins Round: 0
Pearls of Vishnu looks great on paper. I was interested to see how the bonus game played out, knowing that as long as I stuck in there eventually I would collect 15 tokens to trigger it. That happened on 3 occasions over 200 spins which isn’t a bad return really. However, the game itself was a bit of a damp squib, producing wins of 4.1x, 4.8x and 2.25x, and running its course in the spin of the prize wheel. In short, if you don’t land the key then the game’s up on the first spin. And that happened on each occasion. So, a bit disappointing.

That leaves the base game and the free spins round. The base game ticks along at quite a pace and one of the good points here is that it kicked out very regular wins at a rate of 37.5% which is high. In fact, more than 1 in 3 spins produced a win of some kind. The progressive multiplier adds jeopardy and the best win I got was a 16.35x with a 10x multiplier in play.
On the flipside, the free spins round never triggered. Perhaps it will be harder to unlock with the bonus games taking some of the RTP away. But anyway, overall this isn’t a bad slot, but could have been improved if the prize wheel bonus game had given a bit more each time.
