Online casino games developer No Limit City have been reflecting on a highly successful 2021. Famed for their controversial games, such as True Grit Redemption and Tombstone RIP, the software provider published a press release last week to announce their notable achievements from the previous 12 months, including numerous awards, new games, partnerships and entry into growing markets.

Here are the highlights:

New Game Releases and Features

The company celebrated 12 new slot releases in 2021, including blockbusters Fire in the Hole xBomb, San Quentin xWays and Mental. Many of these new games include new mechanics, the now infamous ‘x’ features: xBomb, xSplit and Infectious xWays, giving even more ways for players to win.

Regular readers of our own site will know how much we love these innovations that set NLC’s games apart from the competition.

Here is a brief description of how they work:

The xBomb mechanic removes all symbols apart from scatters from the gaming screen, adding multipliers to the payout and potentially increasing the number of rows to give more ways to win. You can find this feature in the slots Evil Goblins xBomb, Fire in the Hole and Das xBoot.

The xSplit mechanic can split the symbols in half to create more matching symbols and potential winning combinations. After splitting, it will transform into a Wild. This mechanic is featured in slots Mental, Buffalo Hunter and Barbarian Fury.

The Infectious xWays feature causes multiple symbols of the same type to expand, infecting others and creating more ways to win. This mechanic appears in East Coast vs West Coast, True Grit Redemption and Infectious 5 xWays.

New Markets and Partnerships

These feature-rich games will be available in six new regulated markets, as the developer has recently entered Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal and Romania.

No Limit City is also celebrating new partnerships with 888, Kaizen, Norsk Tipping and Betclip.pt, bringing their games to more players.

Industry Awards

NLC’s brand of high-risk mayhem has attracted tons of attention from across the industry as well as helping to build a loyal and avid fan base. And along with new games, markets and partnerships, the developer has managed to rack up numerous trophies along the way from big names in the industry, including BigWinBoard, AskGamblers and Gaming Intelligence Awards.

Their awards include Game Provider of the Year 2021, Software Provider of the Year 2021 and Innovator of the Year 2021. Specific games also received special mentions with San Quentin xWays winning the title of Slot of the Year 2021 from BigWinBoard.

The award for Soundtrack of the Year 2021 was given to East Coast vs West Coast, No Limit City’s vibrant American rapper-themed slot, inspired by the graffiti and punk imagery of the ‘90s rap scene.

In their recent press release, No Limit City confirmed their commitment to growth and their desire to become one of the industry’s most daring software developers: “As the new year continues to unfold, we make it a priority of ours to continue delivering the unseen and the unexpected. Our stellar games and the shock factor is what we’re most known for afterall.”

We’re looking forward to seeing what 2022 will bring for No Limit City! You can catch up on news of some very dark and interesting games on their upcoming release schedule here.
