Across The Web – More Spin and Win Reviews

Spin and Win has an average score of 1.9/5 across 169 reviews on Trust Pilot (03.01.23).

This is one of the lowest scores we have come across for any slot site we have reviewed. 57% of the reviewers scored the site with a 1/5. For the record, 25% scored the site with a 5/5. Most complaints were about the games being ‘laggy’ or slow, low win rates, or missing bonus funds. These complaints are not uncommon at online casinos where customers on a bad run blame ‘rigged’ software or misunderstandings about bonus terms cause conflict.

What is interesting is that similar complaints were made on the Magical Vegas Trust Pilot page. Both sites run on the same platform and as you will see in our review there were some issues with the bonus being credited.

In their favour, the Spin and Win support team have taken the time to address the concerns by replying on the Trust Pilot site which shows a commitment to good customer support. I should also point out that Rank Interactive sites and all their games are fully licensed by the Gambling Commission which means they have been audited and tested for fairness so any suggesting that their games are rigged are incorrect.

Is Spin and Win Legit?

Yes, Spin and Win is a legit casino. It is part of Rank Interactive Ltd, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange and licensed to take bets in the UK by the UK Gambling Commission and the Gibraltar Gambling Commission.

Here are their license numbers:

Under their UK license Rank Interactive run 17 domains including Aspers.com, RegalWins.com and MeccaGames.com.

Regulatory Action

Rank Interactive Ltd has a clean record in both the UK and Gibraltar with no record of regulatory action taken against the company.

Website Design and Usability

I found the Spin and Win website very simple and easy to find my way around. If you are arriving having played at their sister site, Magical Vegas, then you will find the layout, sign up and account pages very familiar as the two sites run off the same platform.

The home page itself gives a nice flavour of what is on offer here with a Spotlight section highlighting popular games, a list of new slots recently released, and top Megaways games. There was also a ‘Studio Spotlight’ section with games from my favourite provider, Thunderkick, which appealed to my tastes.

Spin and Win Home Page

Spin and Win Home Page – Simple and Functional

In terms of design, this is not a big brand like a Grosvenor Casino or an 888, so don’t expect rich graphics and background images bringing the page to life. This is a functional casino that does what is required of it and no more. Personally, I have no problem with that. Black text on a white background make it easy to read the information on the screen and the game logos stand out nicely.

Once logged-in I am able to administer my account from a popup overlay to the right of the screen. Here I could quickly view my real money, bonus and free spins balance and read promotional messages and view loyalty rewards. It’s all straight forward enough though I found some parts of this area were not particularly intuitive and could cause frustration for someone less savvy. For example, to locate your game history you need to click on ‘Account Settings’ which is not the first place I would look.

In summary, Spin and Win is no blockbuster but it is a simple, functional website that was, with a few small exceptions, easy to use.

Sign-Up and First Deposit At Spin and Win

Sign up at Spin and Win took just under 90 seconds to complete. It’s a simple 3-step form requiring your name and address, email date of birth and mobile number.

There was a short pause between hitting the ‘Register’ button and my registration being confirmed. Like all slot sites in the UK, Spin and Win carry out ‘behind the scenes’ verification checks to ensure you are over 18 and your address is correct. This allows you to make a deposit without first supplying any other documentation first.

Account Verification at Spin and Win

Account verification, or KYC, is a reluctantly accepted part of life for the online gambler in the UK today. Most casinos and sportsbooks provide an ‘Upload’ link in the account pages to provide scans of passports, bank cards and utility bills to verify player ID. However, this is not the case at Spin and Win. Instead, I was required to provide this information on email.

I found this to be a little disconcerting. I don’t like to send documents like these over email and if you feel the same and you plan to spend more than a few pounds here then you might want to consider this before signing up.

Bonuses and Promotions

Sign Up Offer

New customers at Spin and Win are eligible for the following offer with their first deposit.

  • 100% match bonus up to £500
  • There are no free spins

Significant Terms

The minimum deposit required to receive this bonus is just £10. The wagering requirements are 40x the bonus plus the deposit and the maximum amount you can with and withdraw is 5x the bonus you receive. You must use your bonus within 7 days of receiving it.

Is this a good offer?

With this £500 offer, and the £300 one currently available at Magical Vegas, Rank Interactive are stealing the headlines from competitors. A £500 match is one of the biggest welcome bonuses available in the UK today. Most are capped at £100 or less due to stricter regulations on incentives to bet imposed by the UK Gambling Commission.

Of the two, Spin and Win’s offer is better than that offered by Magical Vegas. The minimum deposit is just £10 compared to £20 at Magical Vegas, a lower entry point for those with smaller wallets. Also, the wagering requirements here are lower at 40x the bonus plus the deposit, compared to 50x at Magical Vegas.

Putting the £500 headline figure aside for a moment there are some drawbacks to Spin and Win’s offer. The 40x wagering requirements, whilst lower than Magical Vegas’, are still higher than most competitors. With my £10 deposit, I’m required to wager £800 (£20 x 40) before I can make a withdrawal. My winnings are then capped at £50 (£10 x 5).

This does not compare favourably with other offers on the market right now. For example, at Play OJO with a £50 deposit I can currently claim 50 free spins on Book of Dead with NO wagering requirements. I keep everything I win. Alternatively, at Casiplay I can claim a 100% match up to £100 with a 35x wagering requirement on the bonus ONLY

In short, if you are not looking for a bonus of more than £100 then we recommend looking at other options where the wagering requirements are more favourable.

What Happened When I Claimed the Bonus?

I made my first deposit of £10 at Spin and Win via Paypal. After depositing I checked my account and found that there was no bonus. Remarkably, the exact same thing happened at Magical Vegas when I deposited there. Once again, I had to contact support and found myself waiting 20 minutes whilst my story was checked and then my bonus was manually credited with no explanation as to why the system had failed.

This experience tallies with many of the complaints on TrustPilot where customers failed to receive a bonus on deposit and whilst I don’t think this is a scam operation – everyone gets credited in the end – there are clearly issues with the platform here.

In another twist, there are 35 slots eligible for playing whilst you try to meet your wagering target with the sign-up bonus. Unless you very carefully read the terms and conditions you will miss these. I had to go to the support service again to find out which games they were, which needlessly took up more time.

In summary then, a good offer for those seeking a high value bonus with their first deposit, but less so if you are making a smaller deposit of £10 or so due to the high wagering requirements.

More Promotions at Spin and Win

We like a packed promotions page and Spin and Win certainly deliver on that front. Once again, the experience trumps the sister site with more rewards and bonuses available than Magical Vegas.

I can claim a 50% match up to £200 on my second deposit. This time with a lower wagering requirement of just 20x the bonus and deposit, though the bar to entry is higher at £20. There is also a wager £20 on slots and get £5 free bonus money, with a 50x wagering requirement, and a loyalty program where points earned for wagering are converted into bonus money.

Unfortunately, the returns on the loyalty program are not great. I can earn just £1 bonus for every £1,000 wagered. These bonuses come with a 10x wagering requirement which must be met before a withdrawal of any winnings can be made.

Slot Game and Software

Online Slots

Spin and Win offer a good selection of games – over 800 slots in all – from 51 game providers – but they are still quite a long way short of the competition in numbers. If you want more to choose from you could try the White Hat Gaming group of sites including Dream Vegas, or a Skill on Net site like Play OJO or Bacana Play.

Notable suppliers at Spin and Win include names like NetEnt, Play n Go, Microgaming and Big Time Gaming. And unusually, Novomatic, who created the Book of Ra series, make an appearance too. There are a few suppliers whose games are not available here, including Yggdrasil, No Limit City and Hacksaw Gaming.

Spin and Win games menu with search filters

Just like the website itself, the game menu is simple to use. However, the categorisations could be better, with Just Slots, Table Games, Arcade, Roulette and Live to browse. If, like me, you prefer to be able to filter by Trending and New categories, you’ll be disappointed! There is a cool little filter system though that allows a player to search by features like ‘Tumbling Reels’ and ‘Stacked Wilds’ or by number of paylines. But it doesn’t allow you to search by Game Provider which is a useful tool when you have over 50 games to pick through.

These are 10 of the best slot games to play at Spin and Win

  • Bonanza by Big Time Gaming
  • Immortal Romance by Microgaming
  • Book of Dead by Play n Go
  • Eye of Horus by Blueprint Gaming
  • Rainbow Riches by Barcrest
  • Esqueleto Explosivo by Thunderkick
  • Gonzo’s Quest by NetEnt
  • Slingo Deadliest Catch by Slingo
  • Starburst by NetEnt
  • Da Vinci Diamonds by IGT

Other Games at Magical Vegas

Fans of the live casino experience should probably look elsewhere. Spin and Win have a small, limited selection of casino tables provided by Evolution Gaming and Authentic Gaming. Whilst these are leading suppliers in the live dealer arena, the full breadth of their catalogues is not available.

Here are the highlights:

  • Live Blackjack – 12 tables including Lightning Blackjack
  • Live Roulette – 25 tables including Lightning Roulette and Immersive Roulette
  • Live Baccarat – 9 tables including Baccarat Squeeze
  • Live Gameshows – 8 games including Dream Catcher and Crazy Time

Cashier Options

Rank Interactive have a slimmed-down cashier with just the most popular UK deposit and withdrawal options available. These are debit card, Paypal and Paysafecard. So, no Skrill, Neteller or Trustly, and no Apple or Google Pay. As someone who most often uses Mastercard or Paypal, I have no issue with this. Some operators prefer to limit customers to these options as they are the most popular and come with the lowest transaction fees. However, they are restricting their customer base somewhat.

If you are looking for casinos with alternative payment services then check out these lists.

How long do withdrawals take at Spin and Win?

Spin and Win make a point on their website that withdrawal are processed super-quick. To quote, ‘Most withdrawals are processed instantly and will be paid to your bank within 15 minutes’.

So how does this claim hold up in reality?

I made a £10 withdrawal on Paypal at 16.49 on a Tuesday. It was received into my Paypal account at 19.07, 2 hours and 18 minutes later. So, not quite 15 minutes, but still reasonably quick.

Customer Support at Spin and Win

As a London Stock Exchange listed company, Rank Interactive have an operational reputation to uphold so we expected during testing to find a professional and efficient support service available at Spin and Win.

The results were in fact mixed.

Firstly, I should point out that the range of options to contact the team here is good. You can use any of these:

  • Phone Line: 0808 238 6061 (Toll Free)
  • Live Chat: Requires customer to be logged-in
  • Email: On-Site form
  • FAQs: On Site

We used the Live Chat.

It was heartening to find that we weren’t talking to an AI bot. Recently we have noticed that many sites we have tested use AI bots as first point of contact. This can be frustrating if your query doesn’t fit into a basic Q and A template.

The flip side of this was that response time was often slow, perhaps because agents had more than one window open at any time. On average it took between 3 and 5 minutes to be connected with an agent. We then had to provide our username and date of birth, and confirm it was indeed our account we were talking about, before any query could be addressed.

It took a full 20 minutes to reach a conclusion to our first query regarding the sign-up bonus which failed to credit when I deposited. When I asked why my bonus hadn’t been credited there was no response, other than ‘Thank You’ … presumably for my time!

Spin and Win Support

Spin and Win Support – initial interactions were frustratingly slow

Apart from this one problematic interaction, other queries regarding the terms and conditions of our bonus and how to verify our ID were answered quickly and with the correct information.

In summary, it seems like most casinos, Spin and Win support service operates very well when the questions are simple. When things go wrong, it can take a little longer to get the answer you want. This may go some way to explaining the negative comments seen on TrustPilot.

Our Verdict

Spin and Win is a no-nonsense casino very much geared towards slots players. Whilst the game catalogue covered most of the popular titles and game providers, a few site glitches and reservations about the restrictions on the sign-up bonus lead us to suggest that you think carefully before signing up to decide if this is the slot site for you.

In summary, here are the strengths and weaknesses of Spin and Win.

What We Liked

  • The £500 sign-up bonus certainly grabbed our attention. If you are looking for a site with a big first deposit offer this is the place for you. Just keep in mind those higher-than-average wagering requirements.
  • This is a Rank Interactive site. If gambling with a big name is important to you, Spin and Win is a good option.
  • A £5 minimum deposit makes Spin and Win a great place for low stakes players.
  • The game catalogue has some cult classics rarely seen elsewhere like Novomatic slots.
  • Whilst withdrawals weren’t processed in the 15 minutes advertised on the site, they were still processed in just a few hours, making this one of our top performing sites for fast withdrawals.

What We Didn’t Like

  • The technical glitch that meant our sign-up bonus was not credited affected our overall experience negatively.
  • This is not a site for live dealer players. The selection is poor.

  • Can I get a no deposit bonus at Spin and Win?

You cannot claim a no deposit bonus at Spin and Win. There is only a bonus with your first deposit of 100% up to £500.

  • Can I deposit and play with Paypal at Spin and Win?

Yes, Paypal is available as a deposit and withdrawal option in the cashier at Spin and Win. The minimum deposit with Paypal is £10. You can also deposit with Mastercard, Visa, Maestro and Paysafecard.

  • Can I play Megaways slots at Spin and Win?

Yes, Spin and Win has over 50 Megaways™ slots for you to try. These include Big Time Gaming classics like Bonanza and Extra Chili, and games from their licensed partners like Blueprint Gaming (Ted Megaways™) and SG Digital (Rainbow Riches Megaways™).

  • Is Spin Vegas available on an app?

No, there is no app available for Spin and Win players. If you are looking for a casino that you can play via a downloadable app then we recommend Play OJO or Casumo. You can play Spin and Win on your mobile via their website however. Just navigate to the site on your mobile browser as you would any other.
