A Sparkling Hip Hop Adventure in NYC

Blinged is packed with sparkle and attitude. It is the third in a series of hip-hop inspired slot games including Pimped and That’s Rich. This one features a female crew, apparently from downtown New York judging by the Manhattan skyline in the background. Towered over by looming skyscrapers, the action takes place on a glimmering reel set with a backdrop of a commercial street with shops and offices all lit up and enticing you in.

If you are into your diamond-encrusted icons, wads of cash and sassy girls in crews then this is the game for you. Curiously, the soundtrack is a kind of generic string track and I can’t help feeling Play n Go missed a trick to provide a punchy hip-hop number. Maybe the budget didn’t stretch that far.

RTP and Variance

Blinged has five RTP settings – 96.25%, 94.27%, 91.25%, 87.26% or 84.27%. This is not uncommon for Play n Go slots. You want to make sure that you are playing at one of the top settings to give yourself the best chance of a winning return. I checked the RTP at UK slot sites we used for testing

Symbols and Paytable

Blinged is a simple 5-reel slot with 3 rows and 10 paylines. Wins are triggered by landing 3 or more identical symbols on a line from left to right. There is really good value in the paytable, particularly at the top end.

Low payers are the cards, 10 through to Ace. These are valued at from 0.3x for 3 10s up to 15x for 5 Aces. The premiums are the cash, trainers, ring, the group of girls and the gang leader. These are valued at from 0.5x for 3 cash symbols up to 75x for 5 of the gang leaders.

There is also a Wild, represented by the girl wearing the cap with Wild on the front. She can sub in for any other symbol to create a win AND has her own value. 3, 4 or 5 wilds on a payline brings up a win of 5x, 20x or 100x.

Features and Gameplay

The gameplay here is very straightforward. You are looking for Win Spins which trigger with the scatters and come with a progressive multiplier feature. Here is how it works:

Diamond Scatters Trigger Win Spins

The giant diamonds are the scatter symbols in this game and if you hit at least 2 of these beauties you’ll activate the Win Spin feature. This is the key to everything good in Blinged.

Landing 2 scatters activates 1 Win Spin, while 3 scatters triggers 5 Win Spins. Win Spins are free spins with GUARANTEED wins – basically the reels will keep on spinning until you hit a payout.

And …

If you land another scatter diamond during the Win Spins, you’ll re-trigger the feature re-spinning the reels up to 20 times.

And There is More … Progressive Multipliers
