An Irish Slot Like You've Never Seen Before

Brawler’s Bar tilts the Irish slot in a new direction, swapping the classic friendly leprechaun and lush countryside for an urban backstreet lit by a strange green glow, with a reel set populated by hardened fist fighters baring planks of wood, lucky horseshoes (as weapons of course) and boxing gloves wrapped in barbed wire.  Wheel O Gold this is not! Weirdly, Brawler’s Bar drops just a week after Push Gaming’s Shamrock Saints, an equally bonkers and off-beat take on the Irish-theme. There’s a Pogues-ish backtrack and plenty of rowdy noises to accompany your spins. For me, it beats Rainbow Riches any day!

RTP and Variance

Brawlers Bar Cash Collect has four available RTP settings at 96.02%, 94%, 92% and 87%. It will be at your casino’s discretion which setting the game plays at. It is best to avoid anything lower than 96.02%. I recommend Casumo and Barz Casino from White Hat Gaming, both of which usually run Quickspin games at their optimum RTP.

This is also very much a high variance slot with plenty of volatility. It’s wise to set a low-ish stake and don’t play if you are not comfortable with riskier bets and potentially low returns for much of your gameplay.

Maximum Win

Symbols and Paytable

Brawlers Bar is a straight-forward 5 reel slot with 3 rows and 25 paylines to win on, with some great value at the top of the paytable.

The low payers are the cards, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. These are valued at 0.25x for 3 Jacks up to 5x for 5 Aces. The premiums are the plank of wood, Guiness pint, boxing gloves and golden horseshoe. These are valued at from 1x for 3 planks of wood up to 75x for 5 golden horseshoes.

You can also complete paylines with the wild which is an appropriately wild looking skull with mad eyes and the word ‘wild’ written across it! This symbol subs in for any pay symbol to complete a line AND is valued at 2.5x, 12.5x and 125x for 3, 4 or 5 on a line.

Features and Gameplay

The gameplay is a dizzying array of cash collects, free spins and tumbling reels. This is how it all fits together:

Tumbling Reels On Each Winning Spin

First up are Tumbling Reels. These trigger after any win. As normal, the winning pay symbols are removed from the reels and new ones drop in to replace them, potentially triggering more wins. If more wins are created, the process repeats.

Importantly, Cash Collect and Scatters remain on the reels during Tumbling Reels.

Cash Collect in Base Game and Free Spins Rounds 

Look out for the big blue symbols with Cash Collect written across them. These land on reels 3, 4 and 5 at any point during the game, including free spins. If they land at the same time as gold coin Cash Symbol, which can appear anywhere on the reels, then the value of all those cash symbols is collected.

Cash Symbols always take their value from the coin that you will see to the right of the reels. It displays a cash value of 1x to start, then when a Cash Collect is triggered, the value of that coin doubles to 2x, then 4x, then 8x etc.

What I like here is that whilst in the base game, the Cash Symbols re-set to 1x when all tumbles are complete and before the next spin starts, in the free spins round, their value is persistent, allowing you to build much higher cash values and bigger wins.

Free Spins Round

The free spins round itself is triggered by landing AT LEAST one Scatter symbol at the same time as a Cash Collect symbol. Scatters are represented by a scrawny, red-headed guy with a sovereign ring and the words, Bonus Brawl written across them. They display a value of between 1 and 5.

By adding the values of all the visible scatters together you will get the total number of spins for the round.

Now, the value of the Cash Symbol, displayed to the right of the reels, is carried through from the base game, and you can also extend the free spins by landing more scatters.

With all this, and the persistent Cash Symbol value throughout the round, there is a real chance to build some big wins in the free spins feature.

Extra Bet For Increased Chances of Cash Collects

In Brawler’s Bar you can also add 50% to your stake to make Cash Collect symbols available on reel 2 (as well as 3, 4 and 5). This is said to increase your chances of landing a Cash Collect by 55%, which means a greater chance of free spins too.
