  • 200% Up To £50
  • 20 No Wager Free Spins on Book of Dead

Significant Terms Explained

The minimum deposit to qualify for this bonus is £10. There is a 50x wagering requirement on the value of the bonus ONLY. That means, if you deposit £10 and get a £10 bonus you will need to wager £500 before any winnings become withdrawable. You have 30 days to meet the wagering terms or your bonus will be forfeited. There is also a cap on winnings from the bonus of 3x the bonus. So, if your bonus is £10 you can only withdraw £30 of winnings.

Winnings from free spins are paid out in cash with a cap of £20. You have 7 days to play the free spins or they will be forfeited.

Is This a Good Offer?

This is a very strong offer for a small white label like The Online Casino. A 200% match bonus is rare these days and the sweetener of 20 ‘no wager’ free spins seals it for me. Nevertheless, your game preferences and deposit size may impact your decision. So here are some pros and cons to think about.

Pros
  • Low minimum deposit threshold at £10.
  • Big 200% match bonus – you won’t find many of those around.
  • No wagering requirements on your free spins.
  • 30 days to play through your match bonus.
Cons
  • If you are depositing over £50 this offer is less enticing as the cap on the match bonus is just £50.
  • The cap on winnings from free spins is just £20 and from the bonus, 3x its value.

Overall, this is a very decent deal for those depositing between £10 and £50. However, if you are depositing over that amount then I would recommend trying another site like Grand Ivy (150% up to £300) or Casumo (100% up to £100). And if you want exclusively no wager free spins and you aren’t concerned about a match bonus then Play OJO is a better bet (80 no wager free spins on Big Bass Bonanza).

Here are some more sign-up deals to consider.

Website UX & Registration

7/10

The Online Casino website if functional but uninspiring. The green-grey colour scheme is a little boring and browsing around I found the site to be a little clunky in places, without the smooth finish of a top tier gambling site. In fact, just like a tired real-world casino, it feels a little dated and in need of some TLC.

That said, all the important information is available within 1 or 2 clicks of the home page and the sign-up process is smooth enough, taking just a couple of minutes to complete.

Online Slots

7/10

Whilst the website itself left a bit to be desired, the slots catalogue itself at The Online Casino is of a good standard. There are somewhere in the region of 800 to 1,000 games at my estimate, from around 60 different providers. This includes big names like Games Global (Microgaming), Big Time Gaming, Nolimit City, Play n Go, Blueprint Gaming and Pragmatic Play. There are also some interesting smaller studios whose games are worth checking out including Stormcraft and Neon Valley.

That’s a good selection to be getting on with though there are some notable absentees as well. For example, Relax Gaming, who created the Money Train series, and Push Gaming, who are the name behind high-risk slots like Big Bamboo and Razor Ways, are not in the list.

Nevertheless, the selection on offer does give you a wide choice of games to try, covering all formats, from 3-line slots, to Megaways slots, cluster pays games and progressive jackpots.

The experience could be improved by a more sophisticated search and filter menu. There are links to filter by ‘new’, ‘featured’ and ‘jackpot’, and you can type a game name or provider into the search bar at the top of the screen but there are no filters for theme, Megaways or any other format, which makes it hard to explore the menu in any depth.

Overall, the game list here is adequate for a small white label, but like the rest of the website, some work on the menu is needed to improve the experience.

Live Dealer

8/10

Live Dealer tables at The Online Casino are provided by two of the biggest names in the business – Playtech and Evolution Gaming. You can navigate to this section using the ‘Live’ link at the top of the page.

Both Playtech and Evolution offer live versions of all the popular table games including Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Hold Em. And Evolution Gaming have a particularly strong ‘gameshows’ area too featuring TV show-style games like Monopoly Live, Crazy Time and Dream Catcher. As these games pool players from 1,000s of casinos worldwide the rooms are always busy with a big range of stakes too.

Loyalty Promotions

8/10

The Online Casino doesn’t appear to have a loyalty program with level-ups and rewards. However, the promotions page shows a small selection of monthly deals that regular players can take advantage of. These are typical of a site of its size.

For example, a monthly ‘Bonus Rush’ offers up to 360 free spins and £1,500 in bonuses across 4 different promo codes. The deals are available throughout the month which means you can claim them whenever you like which is nice. A £10 deposit gets you 15 free spins, and a £50 deposit gets you 75 free spins, whilst higher deposits earn you match bonuses.

On all deals The Online Casino appears to have a standard 50x wagering requirement. Whilst this is about average for a match bonus, it is high for free spins winnings. So keep that in mind whilst deciding if this is the site for you. If you prefer no wager free spins then we recommend MrQ from Lindar Media where all free spins deals pay winnings in cash.

Cashier Options

7/10

The cashier at The Online Casino has a good selection of payment services. More than you find at most slot sites in fact. It covers debit cards with Visa, Mastercard and Maestro, eWallets like Paypal, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter, and the Apple Pay, Trustly and Paysafecard too.

This is a £10 deposit casino so the threshold to start playing is low, and withdrawals start at that level too, which is fair. However, there is a small fee of 1% up to £3 placed on payouts which seems unfair because most sites these days do not charge.

Here is a summary of all payment options available.

Payment Service Minimum Deposit Deposit Fee Minimum Withdrawal Withdrawal Fee
Visa, Mastercard £10 0.0% £5 1% up to £3
Paypal £10 0.0% £5 1% up to £3
Apple Pay £10 0.0% N/A N/A
Bank Transfer £20 0.0% £5 1% up to £3
Paysafecard £10 0.0% N/A N/A
Neteller £20 0.0% £10 1% up to £3
Skrill £20 0.0% £20 1% up to £3
Neosurf £15 0.0% N/A N/A

Payout Speed

7/10

The Online Casino does not process withdrawals instantly. The site advises that it takes one business day to process a payout which means a weekend withdrawal will wait until the Monday. This is not that uncommon, but there are faster withdrawal casinos out there.

In our tests we found MrQ and Casumo scored highest in this area.

If you decide to go ahead and play here then you can speed things up by withdrawing to an eWallet and by making sure that you have verified your account in advance by submitting any appropriate documents. More on this under KYC further down our review.

Customer Support

7/10

The level of support at The Online Casino is adequate but not great. There is no phone line, only email or live chat.

The live chat service is 24/7 but manned by AI bots who try their best to push back with ‘FAQ’ style answers before allowing you to speak to a real person. If you persist then you will get through to support staff who can help with individual account queries. Wait time to speak to an agent when I tried was under 1 minute.

There is also a comprehensive FAQs section which has articles from support staff on every subject from verification to bonuses. If you don’t want to speak direct to the AI bots this is a good option.

KYC Process

8/10

As with all UK-licensed slot sites, verification of your account is required if you reach the pre-defined levels of deposit and withdrawals at The Online Casino. If you do, you will need to send scans of documents to prove your ID, age, address, and sometimes source of funds too. This process has been made easier by an upload tool in your account.

License and Reputation

7/10

The Online Casino operates on the ProgressPlay platform licensed in the UK and Malta. This is one of the largest of the white label networks with over 150 casinos operating globally. Here are the license details.

Regulatory Action

In May 2022 ProgressPlay was subject to a fine of £175,718.00 for failings in relation to anti-money laundering and responsible gambling processes. There have been no further sanctions. You can read more on that here.

Across the Web – Consumer Reviews

The Online Casino has an average score of 1.7/5 on TrustPilot from 21 reviews. This is a very low score. Most complaints relate to slow withdrawals and difficult bonus terms and conditions.

On Ask Gamblers the site does better with an average score of 6.2/10 from players and 7.1/10 from AG’s own CasinoRank algorithm.

Our Verdict

Whilst I found the user experience at The Online Casino to come up short in some areas – most notably the website and those withdrawal fees - it is still a solid white label on a popular and trusted network. And with a strong game selection and a uniquely generous sign-up deal that starts from just £10 deposit there are some good reasons to give this site a go.
