Website UX & Registration 7/10

Magical Vegas is a simple and functional website in dark blues, pinks and purples on both desktop and mobile. Its name invokes the world’s most iconic gambling destination but this idea is not really carried through to the website itself. It lacks the sparkle of a competitor site like Dream Vegas for example. Nevertheless, it serves its purpose and finding your way to the critical information and touch points like sign up, log in, support and games is very easy.

Elsewhere, the account area, which pops in from the right of the screen provides a useful summary of your balances – bonus and real money – and the deposit option automatically provides a list of available bonuses you can claim when you fund your account.

Finally, there is a shield icon at the top of the screen that allows you to open-up the Responsible Gambling tools from anywhere on the site and set your spend limits or self-exclude entirely. The ease with which you can access this area of the site is important and shows that Magical Vegas take their responsibilities seriously in this area.

Registration at Magical Vegas is through a standard 3-step form requiring your name, email, full postal address, date of birth and mobile number. The address auto-fills for you once you have completed the first line which is useful and speeds things up. It took us less than 1 minute to sign up at Magical Vegas.

Online Slots 7/10

In total, Magical Vegas offers over 800 slots across 51 game providers. The list of suppliers includes big hitters like Netent, Microgaming, Play n Go, IGT, WMS and Novomatic. But there are also some big names that are missing from the list include Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming.

If you are looking for a bigger slots catalogue then you could try rival sites like Play OJO (over 4,500 games) or Dream Vegas (over 2,500 games) instead.

Jackpot Slots 

Where Magical Vegas does excel is in its progressive jackpots list which includes over 140 titles. There are the Mega Moolah games from Microgaming, a long list of ‘Must Drop’ jackpots from Red Tiger, the Mega Fortune games from NetEnt and the Jackpot King series from Blueprint Gaming. The big omission from the list was the Dream Drop jackpots by Relax Gaming.

New Slots

There is also a ‘New’ games tab that you can explore for the latest releases. Browsing through this section there was plenty of very recent content from names Thunderkick (The Wildos) and IGT (Dyn-a-miners) which is a good sign. However, in well over 100 slots there were also some very old games like Bird on a Wire by Thunderkick and Eye of Dead by Blueprint Gaming which suggests that the list could do with big refresh!

Megaways Slots

Magical Vegas’ game selection includes 111 Megaways titles. This includes classics from Big Time Gaming like Bonanza and Extra Chilli as well as a good selection from their partners, including Gorilla Gold Megaways, Ted Megaways and Genie Jackpots Megaways.

Slingo Games

Magical Vegas also offers a good selection of Slingo games from the Slingo Originals studio in London. This includes classic formats like Slingo Riches and Slingo Extreme alongside the latest wave of co-branded games that build on classic slots like Starburst and Sweet Bonanza.

Game Menu, Search Functions and Game Window

Finding your way around these slots is easy. Whilst there is no option to search by game provider and no ‘trending’ or ‘hot’ slots, there is a filter system that lets you find games by feature – Tumbling Reels, Stacked Wilds and Bonus Round for example – or by number of paylines, from 10 or less up to 50 or more.

Slots load up into the same window as the website. The navigation is very simple – you can make a quick deposit without leaving the game area, which can be useful, but there is no option to open live chat to speak to an agent, or search for another game, without going back to the game menu area.

Slots RTP at Magical Vegas

Some online slots have more than one RTP setting. Game providers leave it to the casino operator to choose which setting to run the games at. This is important because a higher RTP setting means potentially better returns on your wagering. Providers like Push Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Play n Go and Blueprint Gaming may offer games with up to 5 different RTP values.

Our research shows that Magical Vegas is offering games at the upper end of the RTP range where more than one setting is available. Some games are below the optimum setting, but all are at an acceptable level.

Live Dealer 8/10

There are two game providers in the live area of Magical Vegas. These are Evolution Gaming and Authentic Gaming. The main attraction is the Evolution Gaming lobby which provides enough entertainment to keep most casino fans happy. There are over 150 Blackjack tables and 30 roulettes, as well as a good variety of Baccarat, pokers and gameshow formats.

But if this isn’t enough for you there is also the Authentic gaming lobby which provides variety in the form of action streamed from real life casinos in Sheffield, Glasgow and Madrid.

Loyalty Promotions 8/10

The promotions page at Magical Vegas included a few extras for regular players. These include a £5 bonus bet each day for players who wager £20 or more in real money on selected slots. This is a nice offer but again it comes with a 50x wagering requirement on the bonus which is very heavy.

There is also a loyalty program in which players exchange ‘Moolhah’s for bonus money with a 10x wagering requirement. However, it is not clear how much you have to wager to earn your Moolahs which undermines the promotion somewhat. If I don’t know what I have to do to earn my points, I’m not motivated to wager.

Cashier Options 7/10

Magical Vegas does NOT boast a huge number of payment services. You are limited to Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and Paysafecard. There is no Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay or Trustly. However, there are no transaction fees and with a £10 minimum deposit, Magical Vegas does allow you to start spinning with just a small budget.

On the website Magical Vegas claim that it takes just 10 minutes to process a withdrawal.

I made a withdrawal to my Paypal account. It was requested at 12.37pm and received at 16.47. That is 4 hours 10 minutes. Not bad, but not as quick as advertised. I made a further withdrawal of £20 to my Mastercard at the same time. This was received into my bank account the following day, in less than 24 hours.

The Help section at Magical Vegas gives you three options to contact the team, as well as an FAQs section to browse.

Response times to queries put to the team on live chat were less than 5 minutes which is good. This is your best option as the FAQ section was a little sparse.

KYC Process 7/10

KYC checks at Magical Vegas are done by email. There is no automated tool. This is less secure than uploading via your account and can take longer as it requires someone at the casino to review the documents.
