Theme and Design
Gates of Troy is impressive for its graphics, shown in the screenshots on this page. The reels are set in the wooden gates within a stone column framework, and the city of Troy laid out in the background. The gates slam shut when the game starts, then open up to reveal heaps of gold coins when the free spins round begins. Gates of Troy moved at a very fast pace and 200 spins were completed in under 15 minutes. In most games it will take 20 minutes of more to run that many plays. That’s a reflection of the gameplay – there are very few features to slow the game down between spins. Instead, it’s just about waiting for the scatters to land. The Guaranteed Scatter feature dropped 3 times and led to 3 scatters appearing on a single spin just once to unlock the bonus round. During free spins 3 wild frames appeared leading to a 37x win. Not bad, but not great either!
