Raging Rex 2 has a lot going on which is why I liked it so much. There is never a quite moment and there are chances to build some seriously big multipliers through various configuration of wilds and free spins.
To understand how, here I break down the features one by one.
Rex Wilds, Hatchling Wilds and Re-Spins
Rex is a fully stacked wild symbol that takes up a whole reel when he lands. He can appear on reels 2 to 6. When he does, he triggers re-spins and starts walking one reel to the left with each one. If he starts on reel 6, that means 5 re-spins.
The final re-spin occurs when Rex reaches reel 1.
Now, if there are any Hatchling Wilds on the reels at the same time, then they follow Rex or walk in front of him, moving one reel at a time too.
This is good news – it means you get more value out of those Wilds as they can help you score wins on multiple re-spins before they disappear. And during re-spins more wilds may drop onto the reels to give you even more chances of winning.
Raging Rex Walking Wild and Re-SpinChoose Your Free Spins Configuration From THREE Options
I loved the free spins round set up here for two reasons.
First, not only do I get free spins, but I also get a payout. So, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Egg Scatters earns me spins plus a payout of 5x, 10x, 25x or 100x. Not all slots pay out like this for scatters and it’s an extra bonus.
Second, I’m now given a choice of which free spins configuration I want to play on, each one giving me a different Wild behaviour.
This is how they look:
There is a choice of 3 free spins set upsPrimal Fury – depending on how many scatters I land, I get 8, 12, 16 or 20 spins. Now, Rex is sticky, and moves any direction after each spin. But Hatchlings are not sticky. I can also re-trigger the round and get 6, 9, 12 or 15 more spins by landing 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatters.
Hatchling Mania – in this version I get 7, 9, 11 or 13 spins where Hatchling Wilds are sticky and move in any direction, but Rex is absent. Hatchling Wilds may also come with a 2x or 3x multiplier which combine if more than one appears in a win. Here I can also re-trigger by landing 2, 3, 4 5 or 6 scatters to get 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 extra spins.
Jurassic Mayhem – in the third version I get 5, 7, 9 or 11 spins with Rex and his Hatchlings active. They can all move in either direction and are sticky for the round. And again, 2, 3, 4 or 5 extra scatters earns me 2, 3, 4 or 5 more spins.
