Website UX & Registration 7/10

Dream Vegas website looks really good.  The name itself is a mix of aspirational and iconic and the imagery of the Vegas skyline on the home page looks sharp, as do the three croupiers dressed to kill. There is nothing new or innovative about the brand but if you like gambling and you like Vegas then you’ll enjoy it. The website loads quickly on both desktop and mobile as well.

Finding Important Information

Scanning through the website to find key information before registration I found everything I needed clearly signposted. You can browse terms and conditions, a separate pages for promotional terms and responsible gambling information from the footer.

There is also a link to Complaints Procedure which is useful in the unlikely event that you need to resolve a dispute. And you can also hit an RTP link to find a list of all live games and their Return to Player settings. This is another good sign that Dream Vegas are operating a fair and open casino. Many sites won’t publish that kind of information on the website, only within the games after you register.

Registration

Registration is via a 3-step form requiring the usual details including mobile number, email, date of birth and full address. When I hit submit initially I got caught in a loop where the form refreshed a few times with my information still on it. This wasn’t a great start and it slowed my registration down. However, eventually the form resolved itself and I was registered and ready to deposit.

Provided you are entering accurate information on the form you won’t need to provide any further documentation before you deposit. All UK slot sites allow you to fund and withdraw small amounts before initiating KYC checks that require scans of your passport, driver license and utility bills.

Account Pages

The account pages at Dream Vegas are functional but could be improved.

All the information is there but the design is poor. Often when you click into one area you lose the main navigation and have to close the window down and re-open to start again. The transaction history is also difficult to read and navigate through when divided into more than one page.

There is a link under ‘My Details’ to upload documents but it takes you out of your account pages and into another area of the site which is a bit confusing. The Responsible Gambling links also take you out of the account area which is similarly disorientating.

Overall, for such a well-built site it seems odd to neglect the account area in this way. Nevertheless, it is functional and does still serve its purpose.

Catalogue and Game Providers

This is a White Hat Gaming site so the slot games selection is a very high quality from a massive range of suppliers. There are 109 developers supplying games to Dream Vegas so whatever your taste is you will be catered for. Big names on the list include NetEnt, Microgaming, WMS, Play n Go, Blueprint Gaming, IGT and Red Tiger. But there are also many of our favourite smaller suppliers to like No Limit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Thunderkick and Yggdrasil.

Jackpot Slots

Curiously Dream Vegas does not choose to provide a game category for Progressive Jackpots. Instead you will have to hunt them down by name using the search bar. We found the following progressive games available:

• Dream Drop Jackpots from Relax Gaming
• Jackpot King games from Blueprint Gaming
• Mega Moolah from Microgaming

In total there are around 50 jackpot games. There were no Mega Fortune slots from NetEnt.

New Slots

There is a new games tab in the lobby and there were certainly a good selection of very recent releases available here. We found games in the list that had literally been released on that day including Rabbit Royale by ELK Studios and Red Queen by Pragmatic Play. So, if you are looking for a casino that offers the very latest content then Dream Vegas makes a good choice.

Megaways Slots

Dream Vegas has a big selection of Megaways games – more than 140 in fact. You will need to use the search bar to find them. Just type in ‘Megaways’ and the full list will appear. This includes the original Big Time Gaming slots like White Rabbit and Bonanza, and games from licensees like Relax Gaming (Temple Tumble Megaways) and Pragmatic Play (Big Bass Bonanza Megaways).

Slingo Games

Dream Vegas also has a selection of more than 35 Slingo games to play. These are a hybrid of slots and bingo and includes some excellent branded games that mix the Slingo format with well-known slots like Starburst and Sweet Bonanza. There are also classics like Slingo Riches and Slingo Extreme.

Game Menu, Search Functions and Game Window

The game menu at Dream Vegas is functional but not as sophisticated as we have found at some other slot sites. There are top-level categories you can jump into like Popular, New Games and Drop and Win. Or you can search by game titles or click to see the full list of game providers if you prefer to search that way. That will bring up a list of all 109 suppliers for you to scroll down.

As we have already mentioned, unfortunately there was no ‘Jackpots’ category so we couldn’t find a full list of progressives. And there is no option to filter by game feature, paylines, variance or top payout for example.

However, look closely and you will see the game provider displayed under each game logo which is a nice touch and gives you a bit more information before you dive in.

Once you are ready to play, hit the logo to launch your slot and you’ll see the game load up into a simple game window. There is no option to open live chat or make quick deposits unfortunately. There is a deposit button but it takes you back to the main site which will interrupt any game you are playing, so beware. There is also no way to search for another game to try without going back to the main site.

In short, a very strong game catalogue but the experience could be improved with better website search functions.

Slots RTP at Dream Vegas

Some slot providers build their games with more than one RTP setting and leave it at the discretion of the casino operator to choose which to run with. That means you might be playing at a lower RTP than you expected.

As part of our review of Dream Vegas we verified the settings for a selection of games with more than one available RTP to see which the casino had chosen. This is what we found:

Dream Vegas choose to run some of their games at the optimal RTP, and some slightly under, but none at the lowest setting. This is not untypical for a UK casino. Overall the results compare well against other slot sites we have reviewed.

Live Dealer 8/10

Live dealer tables at Dream Vegas are provided by Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play. These are the two most popular live game providers and you will find their games at most white label casinos. All the action is pooled across 1,000s of online casinos worldwide. There are no exclusive tables available here. For that you would need to try Play OJO, Casumo or Betfred Games.

Of the two, Evolution Gaming is the more popular provider. Their lobby will host 10,000s of players at any one time. There are upwards of 150 Blackjack tables, 30 Roulettes, Sicbo and Baccarat, Hold Em Poker and Gameshows. The most popular are the Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette and Dream Catcher gameshows.

The Pragmatic Play tables lobby is smaller but also offers a good selection of Blackjacks and Roulettes and its own growing list of gameshows. These include Sweet Bonanza Candyland, a live version of their famous slot game.

Loyalty Promotions 7/10

Whilst there is no advertised loyalty program for Dream Vegas players there are regular prizae draws with different sized prize pools depending on how much you deposit per month.

• There is a £30,000 prize draw for anyone who plays the slots and live tables each month. Each £1 you wager earns you more tickets in the draw.
• There is a £10,000 give away that is built for bigger spenders. You need to be depositing £500 per month to enter this one.
• And there is a Mini Vegas Weekly £500 give away for those who deposit £100 during each week. Ten winners are chosen each week at random to take a £50 prize each.

Like its sister site, Temple Nile, Dream Vegas, seems to be geared up to reward those with deep pockets rather than smaller spenders.

There is nothing advertised on the site for the player who deposits and plays just £20 each week. However, we can report that we received several bonus spins deals on email and in our account for spending £50, so if you choose to opt-in to this kind of deal you may get some bonuses.

Cashier Options 8/10

Whilst the cashier was not particularly well built – it doesn’t look as slick as the rest of the site and I have already covered off the usability issues I faced earlier in this review – it does at least offer a wide range of payment services with no fees including Paypal, Trustly and Paysafecard. The caveat there is that the minimum deposit amount is £20.

If this is too high for you then you could try another White Hat Gaming site with a £10 minimum deposit threshold like Play Grand or Slot Nite.

I made two withdrawals from my account at Dream Vegas. One with Paypal and one with Mastercard. The withdrawals were made at 8.30am on a Wednesday morning. They were processed at 10.30am on the following day.

The withdrawal time was 26 hours.

Customer Support 7/10

Support at Dream Vegas is on Live Chat or Email. There is no phone support. However, the team are on hand 24/7.

When you use live chat for the first time you will need to enter all your registration details once again to verify your account. This can be frustrating but you will be able to choose a 4 digit code for future contact. Make sure you take this option otherwise you will need to enter your detail every time you want to use live chat.

A support agent answered our query in under a minute each time we tested this service. The team were knowledgeable and friendly.

KYC Process 8/10

If you are required to go through KYC checks to verify your identity and address then you can do so using the automated upload tool on the site. This is found through the ‘Upload your identity documents’ link in your account.

I tested this and uploaded a scan of my passport and utility bills. These were processed in under 24 hours. This is about standard in the UK now. Like withdrawals, some sites are quicker than others, but Dream Vegas is on par with its competitors.
