Review Summary

Casimba is a safari-themed casino from the White Hat Gaming group. This is a UK-licensed operator offering safe and fair gambling. The best parts about this site are its huge games list and generous loyalty rewards, albeit with tough wagering terms.

Here’s a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of Casimba before we deep dive into the review.

Strengths

  • Run by a popular and trusted operator – White Hat Gaming are well known amongst casino players in the UK. They operate more than 20 sites on their platform with plenty of features ensuring safety and fair gaming.
  • Excellent Game List -  whether you are a slots, table game or instants fan, there is something here for you, with over 5,000 games sourced from a wide range of providers covering all formats, styles and payout models.
  • Daily Bonus Wheel promos – the Spin and Roar bonus wheel is available to anyone who has made at least one deposit. It means you can pick up a deposit bonus or free spins almost every day if you want to.
  • ‘Winnings in Cash’ free spins deal – the sign-up offer includes 50 Big Bass Bonanza spins which pay out winnings in cash (though capped at £20).
  • Varied list of payment options – the choice of deposit options is good with all the main debit cards and eWallets covered as well as Revolut and Neosurf.

Weaknesses

  • Tight wagering terms – for deposit bonuses the wagering terms are tight at 35x the bonus AND deposit. It makes it tough to come away with any winnings.
  • Withdrawals are not always quick – whilst I have seen withdrawals come through in under 12 hours here, at other times it can take 2 or 3 days. They don’t do weekends and there are reports on TrustPilot that verification checks can significantly slow the process down. In short, experiences are mixed in this area.

Steps To Register and Claim Your Bonus At Casimba

  1. Click the orange ‘Sign Up’ button on the home page or at the top of the website
  2. Complete the registration form by filling in all your details and agreeing to the terms and conditions. You will need to enter your name, address, email address, age and mobile number. Make sure the details are correct. Casimba will check your name, age and address using 3rd party verification tools.
  3. If you are asked to provide documents to validate your ID and address, follow the instructions to do so.
  4. You will be prompted to set deposit limits on your account by day, week and month. These are optional settings.
  5. Hit the green ‘Deposit’ button and choose your preferred payment option.
  6. Choose how much you want to deposit. The minimum to qualify for both bonuses is £20.
  7. Choose the relevant bonus from the list of options.
  8. Confirm your deposit.
  9. For the free spins offer you must then wager £10 or more on any slot games. Once you have done this, the free spins will be credited. Just open Big Bass Bonanza to start playing them. Once you have used up the free spins the winnings – capped at £100 – will be credited to your real cash balance.
  10. For the match deposit bonus on your 2nd deposit, your bonus will be credited instantly.

Sign Up Offer Terms

The welcome bonuses are subject to restrictions on wagering and withdrawals. Make sure you understand them before you take up the offer. If you don’t like the terms of the deal you can always choose not to opt in when you make your deposit.

Free Spins Bonus

The free spins winnings are paid in real cash that can be wagered or withdrawn as you wish. However, they are capped at £100. The winnings are only paid onto your cash balance once all the free spins have been used up. Anything over £100 will be voided.

50% Match Bonus

Your bonus is held in a separate balance labelled ‘bonus’ on the website. You will wager your cash balance first. Once this is down to zero, then you begin to wager the bonus balance. Then, you need to wager 35x the value of the bonus and your deposit before your bonus balance is transferred to the cash balance. So, if you deposit £20 and get a £10 bonus then you will need to wager £1,050 before the bonus balance is transferred to cash. Only wagering with your bonus funds contributes to this target and you cannot wager more than £5 when playing with your bonus funds.

Is This A Good Deal?

I like the two parts of this deal but would prefer them to be delivered together on the first deposit like most other White Hat Gaming sites do. Instead, I have to make TWO deposits of £20 or more to qualify. There is a much better deal at 247Bet right now where you get 100% up to £247 (25x WR on bonus plus deposit) plus 100 spins on Big Bass Splash with winnings in cash.

Promotions and Loyalty Program

Casimba run a regular bonus program with guaranteed spins on a daily ‘Bonus Wheel’ which kicks out free spins and bonuses on most occasions, and a standard loyalty program with points for bonuses. There are also other ad hoc events including prize draws which appear on the site from time to time.

Here’s a summary of what’s on offer right now.

Spin and Roar – Daily Bonus Wheel

This is now a standard promotion at most White Hat Gaming sites. The Bonus Wheel is a daily promo open to all players who have been verified and have made a least one deposit. In this case it’s been given a safari-themed makeover in line with the Casimba brand.

The wheel opens in a new window in front of the main site and each day you can spin to see what prize you get. The wheel has 8 segments – 7 with bonuses and 1 blank. Occasionally you score a blank but on most occasions, you’ll get a bonus or free spins of some kind. In the example below I got 40 spins on Big Bass Splash. The catch is you need to deposit £20 or more to get the offer. If you accept the deal it will be available for you next time you go to deposit.

If you don’t like what you see then you can just come back the next day and spin again.

Loyalty Program – Exchange Points For Bonuses

There is also a simple loyalty program at Casimba. When you wager, you earn points, and when you have collected 1,000 points you can exchange them for £5 in bonus funds. This is all displayed in your account and you can make the exchange there too.

Points are awarded at different rates for different game types as shown here:

Game TypePoints Awarded For £10 Wager
Slots2
Scratchcards2
Video Poker1
Bingo1
Blackjack0.5
Roulette0.25

You need to wager £2,500 on slots to earn 1,000 points (£5 bonus). The bonus appears in your bonus balance and you must wager 35x its value before the balance is transferred to real cash.

Whilst this is a nice loyalty program, the rate at which you earn points is not great, and the 35x wagering requirements make it tough to walk away with any cash winnings. Personally I prefer the lifetime cashback deals offered by sites like No Bonus Casino where you get 10% back on all losses.

Prize Draws - £10,000s In Cash and Prizes

There are also 3 regular prize draws to participate in at Casimba. These have high thresholds for entry requiring A LOT of wagering to earn tickets. Check the site for current draw dates.

  1. Annual £30,000 Draw – a ‘winner takes it all’ draw with one £30,000 prize. You need to deposit £1,000 and wager £500,000 just to get yourself one ticket. That makes it a VIP level promotion.
  2. £10,000 Draw 3 Times a Year – win £10,000 of Apple goods, gadgets or home improvement products, OR a Safari holiday! Winners get to choose. But you need to wager
  3. £100,000 just to earn one ticket.
  4. Weekly £500 Draw – a share of £500 cash is distributed between 10 winners of the weekly draw. You need to deposit £100 and wager £4,000 to take part in this.

Be Careful Not To Break The Terms of Your Bonus!

When looking at Casimba reviews on TrustPilot, AskGamblers and Casinomeister I found a number of cases where players had broken the bonus rules and had their winnings confiscated. It’s important not to bet over the £5 threshold on a single slot spin when trying to complete your wagering requirements. For more information look at the Standard Promotional Terms and Conditions on the site. Section 2 outlines the rules around Promotional abuse and irregular play. It also describes patterns of play that are outlawed. Any attempt to beat the system will likely be found out if you win big and then try to withdraw.

Software and Games

9/10

Casimba delivers an expansive choice of casino games covering all formats across slots, jackpots, Slingos, live casino, virtual tables and instant games like scratchcards and crash games. But unlike other White Hat sites there is no sportsbook.

Catalogue and Game Providers

The casino is made up of games from more than 100 providers, each of whom brings their own style to the table. If you hit the ‘Provider’ button in the game menu you’ll bring up the full list including many very big names like Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Play n Go and NetEnt. But it’s not just about the titans, there are some smaller names worth exploring too. Everyone has a favourite and here I’ve picked out 15 of my top choices from the menu and their best games for you to try.

Online Slots

Slots make up the largest part of the game list, with over 4,500 to try. Casimba categorises them with filters in the menu to help find ones you might like. You can also search by game name if you know what you are looking for. There are many classics, lots of newly released games, Megaways slots (including a Casimba-branded one),  cluster pays slots and popular series like Big Bass and Nitropolis. Here I’ve picked out 10 top games that demonstrate the diversity of themes and gameplay available.

High Max Win and High Volatility Slots At Casimba

Many slots fans right now enjoy the high volatility slots put out by studios like Nolimit City. They offer high-risk, high-reward gameplay with thrilling win sequences. Casimba has many of these to try. In fact it's one of the highlights of the list for me. If that’s your thing then here are 7 options to tempt you.

RTP Rates At Casimba

Return To Player rates at Casimba are around 94% to 96%. Some games are set a little under the optimum rates which means the house is taking a bit more out. Here are some examples:

  • Book of Dead (Play n Go): 94.25%
  • Hand of Anubis (Hacksaw Gaming): 94.32%
  • Big Bass Splash (Pragmatic Play): 94.6%
  • Gator Hunters (Nolimit City): 94.05%
  • Razor Shark (Push Gaming): 94.06%

To play these games at their highest settings (around 96%) which is more favourable to you we recommend MrQ which has top RTP rates on all games.

Jackpot Slots

There are more than 100 progressive jackpot slots at Casimba from 5 networks – Jackpot King, Mega Moolah, WowPot, King Millions and Dream Drop. There are huge prizes to play for with jackpot seeds staring at £2,000,000 in the Mega Moolah games. Relax Gaming’s Dream Drop slots are good fun too. There are around 50 of these with many different themes. Here are 5 of the best progressive slots you can play at Casimba.

Live Dealer

Live dealer action at Casimba is provided by Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play. These are the two biggest names working in this area and they give you a massive choice of tables to play. The Evolution lobby has the greater variety with Blackjacks, Roulettes, Baccarats, Sic Bos, Poker, and exciting Gameshows too. They are constantly adding to the list.

Pragmatic Play offers less choice but they do have some excellent alternative Gameshow formats including the exciting Sweet Bonanza Candyland which is worth checking out.

Here is a summary of the live dealer section at Casimba.

Table Games

Virtual table games can be found under the ‘Table Games’ category in the game menu. There are more than 50 of these from providers like Play n Go, Switch Studios, Gamevy and Inspired Gaming. I like the range of formats on offer here which includes the classics like Platinum Roulette and Premier Blackjack with Side Bets, but also themed-games like World Cup Roulette and Space Invaders Roulette. There are also low stakes formats of these games including 10p Roulette so you don’t have to spend big to take part.

Slingos

There are more than 40 Slingo games to play at Casimba. Slingo mixes up slots and bingo in an innovative game format where numbers are revealed on a slot reel. If they match numbers on your bingo card, they are crossed off. Completing a line of numbers wins a prize. Most games include gamble options and bonus rounds. The titles include old classics like Red Hot Slingo alongside new favourites like Slingo Deadliest Catch and Slingo Starburst. If you like these games we also recommend that you check out our Slingo Sites page with further options on where to play.

Other Games

Browse to the Scratch and Fun section of Casimba and you’ll find more than 100 instant win style games. They are usually very simple gambling games like scratchcards, plinkos, dice games, hi los, arcade and crash games. They aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but Casimba has put together a very diverse and interesting selection.

Website and App Experience

9/10

Casimba website has a quality feel to it, better than most white label casinos. The site’s theme is safari, aligning it with many famous slot games like King of Cats or Raging Rhino. The coloring and images are bright and bold and the usability is good. The only glitch I found when testing was a lag as I was browsing between pages. It takes a few seconds each time during which is unusual for a betting site, but it’s something I’ve noticed at other White Hat Gaming casinos as well.

Casimba Home Page
Casimba safari-themed home page

Aside from that, the navigation and game menus are more than adequate and finding important pages like responsible gambling, terms and conditions and promotions was very easy.

Download The Casimba Mobile App

Casimba Casino is also available as an app from both the Google Play store and the App Store. It downloads and installs in under a minute. You can register from the app or log in using the same account details as the desktop site. The games are the same and all account functions are available too. You need iOS 14.0 or later for the iPhone.

Banking

8/10

The Casimba cashier is packed with payment options covering more services that you find at most casinos. This includes Paypal and Neteller and even niche options Neosurf and Revolut. There are no fees, but the minimum deposit and withdrawals threshold is a little high at £20.

Here is a summary of the cashier options at Casimba.

Payout Speed

Casimba is not a particularly fast-paying casino. Withdrawals are processed in a maximum of 72 hours although provided your account has been verified and there are no further checks required it will usually be around 24 to 48 hours before you receive your money. Casimba does NOT process withdrawals at weekends or bank holidays, so you do have to wait longer at those times.

If you are looking for faster withdrawals then we recommend MrQ which processed our payments in under 1 hour on every occasion in testing.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Checks

Casimba is required under the terms of its license to verify every customer’s age, ID and address. This is to prevent fraud and problem gambling. As far as possible these checks are carried out automatically in the background using 3rd party verification tools but if you become a regular player here and deposit significant amounts then you may have to provide documents to formally verify yourself.

These are the different types of KYC checks you can expect at Casimba.

Time of CheckChecks ForMethod
On RegistrationID, Age, AddressAutomatic - 3rd party verification tools*
When Hitting Deposit or Withdrawal Thresholds, usually £1,000 to £2,000ID, Age, Address, Source of FundsManual - submit documents
Ad Hoc when patterns of play trigger checks to ensure players are spending within their meansSource of FundsManual - submit documents

*3rd party verification is by companies like Experian. They check your details against publicly held databases like the electoral role.

What Documents Will I Need To Provide?

You may be contacted by the support team on email or through your account message box and asked to provide scans, photos or screenshots of any of the following documents:

  • Passport or Driver License – to prove your ID and age
  • Bank Statement or Utility Bill – to prove your address
  • Bank Card or Screenshot of eWallet Account – to prove you own the account
  • Pay Slip – to prove you are earning enough to pay for your gambling
  • Bank Statement – to prove the funds to gamble are yours

Verification checks are an unpopular but necessary part of gambling online and the best way to get through them is to have the documents to hand and reply promptly to any questions.

The support team at Casimba can be contacted on live chat or email but not by phone. The service is available 24/7 with real people answering the chat with no AI bots. In my experience the response times are acceptable, rarely longer than 5 minutes and often less than 1 minute. The agents are usually well-informed and helpful too.

You can also use the Help Center to browse articles relating to common questions put to the team. They are categorised neatly around subjects like Withdrawals and Promotions.

Player Protection and Trust

9/10

Casimba is a licensed casino managed by a popular and trusted operator in White Hat Gaming who has been running casinos and sportsbooks since 2012. They are required under the terms of their license to provide a safe and fair environment for their customers. The following features are in place to help them do that.

Responsible Gambling Tools – options are available in the account area for a player to set limits on their deposits and time spent online. There is also an option to self-exclude from the site or from all White Hat Gaming sites.

KYC Checks – the KYC checks described in this review are used to ensure players don’t spend beyond their means. Data systems also track player behaviour and alert the casino to patterns that might indicate problem gambling.

Transparent Terms – all promotions must be clearly presented on the website with fair terms and conditions.

Game Testing – all games are provided by licensed game suppliers. They are tested regularly by independent test houses to ensure they are producing fair results in line with published RTP rates.

Site Security Protocols – Casimba follows standard internet security protocols when players are logged in. All personal and financial data is encrypted to prevent interception and use by other parties.

Insolvency Protection – player balances are held in a separate bank account to the main business funds to provide protection in case of insolvency. Customers are more likely to have their money returned in the unlikely event that the operator goes bust.

Clear Complaints Procedure – under ‘Complaints and Procedures’ linked in the footer of the website, players can follow a clear process to raise a complaint if they are unhappy with the level of service they get from Casimba. The operator has nominated eCorga as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Provider (ADR) to provide fair and impartial adjudication if the issue cannot be resolved between the two parties. eCorga can be contacted on their website.

What Others Say - Reviews From Players and Consumer Sites

There are several popular online platforms where players can leave reviews of their experiences at casinos. We look at TrustPilot, CasinoMeister and Ask Gamblers to find out what people are saying about Casimba.

TrustPilot

Average score of 1.6/5 from 371 reviews (5 star - 15%, 1 star - 78%).

Casimba has a low score from TrustPilot, albeit from just 371 reviews dating back as far as 2018. This tells us that Casimba is a small brand. However, we can draw some insights from the comments:

  • Don’t breach the terms of the bonuses – there are many players who have left negative reviews because they had winnings that were generated from bonus play confiscated. This happens if ‘bonus abuse’ is identified on your account. That is betting at more than £5 per spin using bonus funds or using bonus funds to trigger a bonus round on a slot game, then closing the game, using up your bonus funds elsewhere, then coming back with real cash to play the bonus round. White Hat Gaming are very strict on this – I have seen it at other sites. If you try to play the system your winnings will be confiscated and your account closed.
  • Account verification can be slow on some occasions – there are some complaints from players who have waited 4 or 5 days for verification checks to be completed. This will slow down any related withdrawals.
  • Withdrawals in up to 48 hours – those who do leave positive feedback say that they have experienced reasonable withdrawal times, thought not super-fast. One says they got a withdrawal of over £1,000 within 36 hours, another received £4,000 within 3 days after chasing up verification checks with a helpful support agent. Another received a £1,250 payout within 24 hours.

On balance I would not be put off by what I read on TrustPilot. Whilst the overall score is low, the number of reviews is not significant enough to make me think that these bad experiences are widespread. However, they do suggest that a few unlucky players can encounter delays in the service, and that bonus abusers will get found out here.

Read TrustPilot reviews of Casimba

Ask Gamblers

7.4/10 on the in-house Casino Rank algorithm (an automated ranking tool that bases its scores on a combination of criteria including the games, cashier, support hours and player reviews at AskGamblers).

This is a fair score and it reflects the quality of the White Hat Gaming platform including that huge game catalogue.

5.8/10 – Player Ratings from 52 Reviews

Player reviews give a mixed picture. Again, we should be mindful that this is a very small sample. However, these are gamblers who leave reviews on Ask Gamblers which is a platform that experienced and knowledgeable players use, so I would trust their feedback. Here’s a flavour of what they are saying:

  • Praise for the game selection – there are a lot of comments praising the game selection, with some picking out the live dealer choice in particular.
  • Positive feedback for support – there are a few remarks about how helpful the support staff are and the advantages of having 24/7 live chat.
  • Verification and withdrawal issues raised – once again, a small number of players have had issues with the verification procedure. One says they have been waiting 4 days and still no confirmation, another says it took 5 days to complete.
  • The site lags at busy times – two players report the site to be a bit slow at peak times. I also raise this point in our review as pages can take a few seconds to load at Casimba.

Read AskGamblers reviews of Casimba

Casinomeister – No Review

There is no review of Casimba on Casinomeister. However, I did find an interesting post in the forum that you can read here. It confirms the importance of sticking to the rules when it comes to bonuses. This player lost out on a significant payout – around £25k – that they won when playing with bonus money. They were betting over the £5 maximum threshold and the funds were confiscated when they went to withdraw. It’s a further reminder of how careful you have to be when trying to hit those wagering requirements.

What Do These Reviews Tell Us?

Casimba is a relatively small white label casino and coverage on forums and consumer review sites is limited. However, we can conclude from these samples that Casimba is for the most part a quality casino with great games and a good support service. Like all sites a small number of customers here experience issues with withdrawals and verification, but for the most part, payments are delivered within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Casimba's wagering requirements are the toughest of the three. On this metric alone, Play OJO is the best choice.
  • Casimba draws its games from the widest selection of providers. Those with an interest in playing games from niche providers not found at smaller casinos will find more to explore here.
  • The minimum threshold of £20 at Casimba is prohibitive for those looking to make a small deposit to test the site. Both OJO and All British are preferable for those with smaller budgets.
  • Casimba's performance on TrustPilot is poor but with only 371 reviewers it would be wrong to draw too many conclusions. All British's score is above average for a casino and reflects the site's popularity amongst serious gamblers with many positive comments about the standard of customer support and fast withdrawals. OJO, with 14,533 reviews, is by far the biggest of the 3 casinos, with national TV campaigns driving its popularity. It's below average score, however, reflects a lot of negative experiences with customer support and slow verification.
  • All British provides faster withdrawal processing than the other two sites and is the better choice for those who appreciate speedy payouts.

Our Verdict

Casimba has been part of the UK slots scene for more than 5 years now but it has never stayed still. Instead, this site has moved with the times and thanks to a fresh look and a totally up to date game catalogue it more than holds its own against the best new UK casinos on the market. If you can handle the £20 minimum deposit and slower weekend withdrawals then Casimba has lots to offer, particularly for those looking to wager significant sums. Tried, trusted and well established, it is one of the best of a very popular network of white labels.
