Temple Nile is a long-running White Hat Gaming casino with an Egyptian theme similar to popular slots like Book of Dead. It is stacked with over 4,000 slots, live dealer and table games.

Temple Nile Review

At AllSlotSites the reviews we publish are fair, independent and impartial, based on comprehensive research and testing with real money. This allows us to give you an honest appraisal of the player experience. Find out more in our article on How We Review Slot Sites.

Review Summary

Temple Nile is an impressive White Hat Gaming casino, established in 2018 and built around a distinctive Egyptian theme. It is rated 3.8/5 in our review with particularly good scores for its game offering and loyalty program.

Here are the strengths and weaknesses of Temple Nile in summary.

Strengths

  • Diverse list of high-quality games – the number and quality of games at Temple Nile is its biggest strength. With more than 100 providers contributing there is so much choice. In particular, the slots list, numbering more than 4,000, is varied and packed with quality.
  • Good progressive jackpot list – within the game catalogue is an impressive selection of progressives from networks like Mega Moolah, Jackpot King and Dream Drop offering many chances to land multi million GBP prizes.
  • Withdrawals can be quick - I noted a withdrawal in testing that took less than 1 hour and one that took under 24 hours. However, there are also reports on TrustPilot or withdrawals taking up to 72 hours to there are no guarantees in this area.
  • A high value sign-up deal – the opportunity to claim up to £300 match bonus and 60 Eye of Horus spins is an unusual one and shouldn’t be missed for those looking to make a sizeable first deposit.
  • Interesting theme and design – it’s not often that we can say this about a white label casino, but Temple Nile really does look great. In particular, I enjoyed the pyramids and Cleopatra home page that cuts to video clips of live casino action. If you like a site that stands out, and if you’re into Egyptian slots too, then Temple Nile will make a good choice.
  • Loyalty Program – the Temple Bazaar where you can exchange Temple Tokens for gadgets and other non-cash gifts also marks Temple Nile out from other white label casinos.
  • A good customer support team – with live chat open 24/7 and fast response times from real agents, not AI bots, Temple Nile performs well in this area too.

Weaknesses

  • Website is dated in places – whilst I liked the design of the website I thought it looked dated in some places and the usability wasn’t always great. For example, browsing my account history was difficult on desktop. And the page with responsible gambling tools was a little messy.
  • Tight wagering terms – the big bonuses are offset by tough wagering terms at 40x bonus plus deposit. It’s quite unusual for a casino to set the terms that high and it will be difficult to walk away with any winnings as a result.
  • Slow website load on mobile – I found the game list lagged a bit when loading up on mobile. Some logos took a few seconds to drop in.

Sign Up Offer Terms

The Temple Nile welcome package comes with wagering requirements and cashout restrictions related to the bonus and free spins. Make sure you understand them before you sign up and deposit. And if you are don’t like them, remember you can always choose not to opt in.

100% Match Bonus

  • Bonus funds are held on a separate ‘bonus balance’ to your real money.
  • You will play with your real cash first and only when this money runs out will you start wagering with your bonus balance.
  • When you play with your bonus, winnings are paid back onto the bonus balance.
  • You must wager 40x the value of your bonus plus your deposit before your bonus balance is transferred to your cash balance. So, if you deposit £50 and get a £50 bonus then you will need to wager £4,000 (£50 + £50 x 40) before your bonus balance is transferred and available to withdraw.
  • You cannot wager more than £5 per spin with bonus funds. If you try to bet higher amounts you risk having your bonus withdrawn.
  • Bets on slots, scratchcards and keno count 100% towards meeting your wagering requirements (check the website for a list of exceptions), all other games count 0%.

Free Spins

  • When you open Eye of Horus slot you can start playing your free spins.
  • When you have completed your free spins, your winnings, up to a maximum of £20, are paid onto your bonus balance. You must wager 40x their value before they are transferred to your cash balance where they can be withdrawn. So, if you won £10 then you would need to wager £400.

Is This A Good Deal?

This is a good sign-up offer for those looking to make a significant first deposit, or who want bonus spins on an alternative game to the usual choice of Starburst or Book of Dead. However, it does come with some high value wagering requirements at 40x the bonus PLUS the deposit (equivalent to 80x the bonus only). Alternative deals with lower wagering requirements include Casumo where a £10 deposit will get you a match bonus at 100% with wagering requirements of just 30x bonus plus deposit. Or, if you want spins without the hassle of wagering requirements then check out our list of no wagering free spins.

Promotions and Loyalty Program

Temple Nile has a very good promotions program. It includes a daily Bonus Wheel for all players, a loyalty program with a rewards store, and big money prize draws.

Here’s a breakdown of what is on offer:

PromotionDetailsKey Terms
Sign Up Offer100% up to £300 and 60 free spinsMin Deposit: £20; WR: 40x bonus plus deposit / 40x free spins winnings
Bonus WheelDaily spin on prize wheel with bonuses and free spins on most daysOpen to all verified players who have made a deposit

Prize DrawsWeekly, Seasonal and Annual prize draws with prizes of up to £30,000 cashEarn tickets to each draw by depositing and wagering to required levels (details below)

Daily Bonus Wheel

If you have a verified account and you have made at least one deposit at Temple Nile then you are entitled to spin the Bonus Wheel every day. You can pick up various bonuses this way including spins on Big Bass Splash or Book of Dead, £5 bonus funds and a 75% deposit match bonus. Most of these deals require you to make a deposit and they are all subject to bonus terms.

Loyalty Program – Temple Tokens and the Temple Bazaar

When you spend money at Temple Nile you earn tokens. For example, £10 wagered on slots gets you 2 tokens. These tokens can be exchanged for rewards in the Temple Bazaar. The rate at which you earn tokens depends on the games you play as shown in this table:

Game TypePoints Earned For £20 Wager
Slots2.0
Scratchcards2.0
Video Poker1.0
Bingo1.0
Blackjack0.5
Roulette0.25

The rewards include free spins, tech gadgets and luxury items. Here are some examples:

  • 600 tokens: 10 spins on Legacy of Egypt
  • 1,900 tokens: 100 spins on Book of Dead
  • 120,000 tokens: Mont Blanc Pen
  • 400,000 tokens: £1,000 shopping vouchers
  • 2,000,000 tokens: Luxury holiday

I like the fact that the theme of the loyalty program is aligned with that of the website, and the non-bonus items are an interesting alternative. However, there is no option to simply redeem your tokens for bonus money. I think that option should be available for those who don’t want to be tied to spins on a particular game or wait to earn upwards of 100,000 tokens to claim a non-bonus reward.

Big Money Prize Draws – Earn Tickets For Weekly, Seasonal and Annual Draws

At Temple Nile there are also 3 prize draws to enter. Entry to these is free, all you have to do is deposit and wager to the required level to earn a ticket. They work as follows:

£30,000 Cash Giveaway – This runs yearly from 8th February to 31st January with just one prize of £30,000 to be won. To earn ONE ticket to the draw you need to wager £500,000, and you must deposit £1,000 in a month for that month’s wagering to count.

Cleopatra £10,000 Giveaway – There are 3 of these each year, running from February to April, May to July and August to October. In each case the winner gets a choice of £10,000 prizes from tech gadgets to Apple products, home improvements or a 7-day Safari holiday. In this case you need to earn one ticket to the draw you need to deposit £500 in a month and wager £100,000.

The Pharaoh’s Weekly Cash Giveaway – This weekly draw is £500 cash (not bonus funds) shared equally amongst 10 players. To enter you have to deposit £100 in the week and wager £4,000. Each £4,000 wagered gets you 1 ticket.

I like these prize draws as they offer some big prizes. However, the chance of winning are very small. Entries are pooled from more than 15 of White Hat Gaming’s sites including Barz and 247Bet so there are a lot of entries. You also have to wager a lot of money to take part so they are very much built for the VIPs.

Temple Nile Game Menu

The game menu at Temple Nile is good with the option to configure the list into a grid or tiles to make it easier to browse, and a few powerful filters to help explore in more depth. There is also a useful function to help search by game provider or name.

Jackpot Slots

Temple Nile also has a big selection of progressive jackpots drawn from 5 popular networks. Games Global’s Mega Moolah is the most famous. You’ll also find their WowPot and King Millions games, and Blueprint Gaming’s Jackpot King series and Relax Gaming’s Dream Drops. Here are 5 of the best jackpot games from the list.

Live Dealer

Slots might take up the biggest part of the Temple Nile games list but the live dealer selection is impressive too. Hitting the ‘Live Casino’ link in the game menu brings up 100s of tables provided by Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play. They bring you a wide range of game formats with interesting side bets and bonus rounds, and stakes from 20p up to £1,000s per hand. The quality of the streaming is high and there is plenty of opportunity for interaction with croupiers and other players.

To give you an idea of the scale, the Evolution Blackjack lobby runs around 150 tables with a variety of formats like Lightning Blackjack and Power Blackjack. There is also Baccarat, Sic bo, Roulette and Texas Hold Em Poker, and 15 Gameshow formats including Crazy Time, Monopoly Live and Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt.

Table Games

If you don’t like the live experience you can bet on the virtual tables instead. There are around 50 in total from studios like Play n Go, Relax Gaming and Switch Gaming. Blackjack fans can try games like 3d Blackjack, Multi hand Blackjack and Blackjack Bonus Wheel. For roulette players there is 20p Roulette, European Roulette and Space Invaders Roulette. This selection is notable for the variety of game formats and the quality of the graphics.

Slingos

Temple Nile has more than 50 Slingos from Gaming Realms. These popular games mix up the format of bingo and slots with a slot reel spin revealing numbers to cross off a bingo card. There are bonus rounds too. The list includes Rainbow Riches Slingo, Slingo Riches and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Slingo.

For more sites with Slingo games browse our Slingo Sites page.

Other Games

And if you want to take a break from the fast-paced action on the slots and table games then you can always dive into the ‘Scratch and Fun’ section where there is an assortment of close to 150 instant wins and arcade games including scratchcards, plinkos and video pokers.

Website and App Experience

7/10

I tested the desktop version of Temple Nile on a Macbook Pro from 2021 with a 16-inch screen and Monterey Operating System on a Wifi connection. Loading times were fast and the games played without any lag time.

Mark, Editor

Temple Nile has a distinctive theme and an eye-catching design which sets it apart from the many other white label casinos in the UK. I like it because it’s one that will be familiar to slots players who enjoy Egyptian-style games like Book of Dead by Play n Go or Eye of Horus by Blueprint Gaming. There are high quality images of the pyramids and a cleopatra-style hostess on the home page whilst the theme is carried though into the loyalty program too which is compelling.

Temple Nile Home Page
Temple Nile homepage - distinctive theme with high resolution images

Navigation is simple and important information is easy to locate via the main menu or footer. The registration form has been updated to White Hat Gaming’s latest version too so it’s very clear and straight forward to complete. However, I do think parts of the site, including the account area, look a little dated and can feel clunky in places as you browse around. In comparison to the newest White Hat sites like 247Bet, Temple Nile definitely shows its age.

Temple Nile On Mobile

On my iPhone 12 with iOS 18.6.2 and a WiFi connection the site loads up OK but the experience is not as good as the desktop version. As I scrolled through the games the logos loaded a little slowly. I also noticed that once I logged in a huge banner appeared advertising Barz Casino, another White Hat Gaming site, which seemed a bit odd. However, functionally the site is OK and the games load and run fine.

I could not find an app for Temple Nile in the App Store for iPhone. However, I did find one in the Google Play store. It has just 7 reviews dating back to 2021 with an average score of 3.2.

Banking

8/10

The cashier service at Temple Nile is good for those looking for a wide range of payment options. Here you can pay with debit cards, eWallets, Trustly, Revolut and Bank Transfer although some more niche services like MuchBetter and Apple Pay are not available. One drawback is the minimum transaction threshold that may be a little high for some at £20. I recommend Spin and Win (£5 minimum deposit) if you are looking to start with a lower value transaction. Or browse our list of £10 minimum deposit casinos.

I made deposits with both Paypal and Mastercard whilst testing and both were processed instantly without any issues.

Payout Speed

Temple Nile leave themselves a lot of wriggle room when it comes to withdrawals. In their Help Center they say, ‘Withdrawals may stay under review status a minimum of 24 hours’.

My own experience with Temple Nile, and reports on TrustPilot and gambling forums, suggest withdrawals may be processed in anything from under 1 hour to up to 72 hours. During testing I made two withdrawals. The first was £20 to Paypal at 17.20 on a Thursday afternoon. This was processed at 11.23am on the Friday morning – in just 18 hours. The second was £20 to Mastercard at 13.30 on a Friday. This one was processed in just 13 minutes.

These are good times. However, they are small transactions and there are reports from players on TrustPilot and on forums that White Hat sites can take longer for larger withdrawals that require more diligent manual checks. In these cases, you may have to wait up to 72 hours for your funds.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Checks

KYC Checks are carried out on customers by all licensed gambling sites in the UK to prevent underage gambling, problem gambling and fraud. Checks are made on your ID, age and address using automated 3rd party verification tools on registration. Further checks requiring you to send or upload documents may be carried out over time based on your deposit and withdrawal levels.

Here is a summary of KYC checks at Temple Nile:

KYC CheckAutomated Or ManualWhat Happens
On registrationAutomated3rd party verification tools automatically check your ID, age and address against public databases
At deposit and withdrawal thresholdsManualYou must upload or send in documents to verify your ID, age, address and sometimes source of gambling funds
Ad hocManualFurther checks on the source of your gambling funds may be carried out if your pattern of play changes significantly

What Documents Will I Need To Provide?

One or more of the following documents (photos, scans or screenshots) may be required to complete the KYC process:

  • Photo ID - driver license or passport
  • Proof of address – utility bill or bank statement
  • Proof of payment method – debit card or eWallet statement
  • Proof of source of funds – bank statement of pay slip

Documents can be uploaded at Temple Nile via the ‘Upload Your Identity Documents’ link under ‘My Details’ in your account. I used this link to upload a scan of my bank statement to prove my address.  It took just a few minutes for the verification to be processed.

Contacting Support

  • Email (24/7)support@templenile.com
  • Live Chat (24/7) – via the ‘Contact Us’ link – click on ‘Chat Now’
  • Phone Support – Not available
  • FAQs – via the ‘Contact Us’ link – head to the ‘Help Center’

I find the customer support service at Temple Nile to be of a good standard. Getting in touch with the team is quick and easy, and useful information on the website, including a Help Center and Complaints Procedure page, provide further assistance as well as assurance about the integrity of this casino.

Getting In Touch – 24/7 With Quick Response Times

The customer support team at Temple Nile can be contacted on live chat or email 24/7.

There are no AI bots so you are put straight through to a real person and the response times are pretty quick. In my experience it never takes more than 5 minutes, and usually just 1 or 2 minutes. Once chatting, the agents are well trained, polite and knowledgeable.

The service would be improved with phone support but not many casinos offer that these days so it’s not a big deal for me.

On-Site Information – Help Center and Complaints Procedure

There is also a comprehensive Help Center which has a lot of information around common queries like withdrawal times and wagering requirements. It’s worth looking at before loading up live chat if you think your question might be answered there.

For more serious issues, Temple Nile link to the Complaints and Procedures part of their terms and conditions from the footer of the website. This provides information on how to raise a complaint and what your options are if you are not happy with the response you receive from support or the casino management.

As required under the terms of their license, Temple Nile has nominated an Alternative Dispute Resolution Provider (ADR) to adjudicate if a complaint cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. In this case, the ADR is eCorga. Their service is free and impartial.

Player Protection and Trust

7/10

Temple Nile is managed by White Hat Gaming who run all aspects of the service, including player promotions, payments and customer support. They are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission which means they are bound to uphold high standards in fairness and safety.

I was impressed by the level of player protection at Temple Nile and certainly feel comfortable playing here. This table provides a summary of the safety and security features I found at this site.

Temple Nile is required to provide tools and information to help customers play responsibly and avoid problem gambling. The site certainly fulfils its commitments in this area, although the presentation of the tools is a little messy in places and could certainly be improved. What Others Say - Reviews From Players and Consumer Sites

There are several popular online platforms where players can leave reviews of their experiences at casinos. We look at TrustPilot, CasinoMeister and Ask Gamblers to find out what people are saying about Temple Nile.

TrustPilot

Average score of 1.6/5 from 35 reviews (5 star - 11%, 1 star - 80%).

Remarkably, Temple Nile only has 35 reviews on TrustPilot. This is a very low number for a site that launched back in 2018 so it would be prudent not to draw any conclusions from the reviews other than to say that it might reflect the small size of the customer base.

Ask Gamblers

7.5/10 on the in-house Casino Rank algorithm (an automated ranking tool that bases its scores on a combination of criteria including the games, cashier, support hours and player reviews at AskGamblers). This is a moderate to good rating that roughly aligns with our own score of Temple Nile.

5.6/10 from 21 player reviews - as with TrustPilot, it would be wrong to read too much into a score averaged from just 21 reviews.

Casinomeister

There is no review of Temple Nile at Casinomeister.

I was surprised at how little coverage Temple Nile gets on these sites based on its age and the popularity of the operator. It suggests that this site is one of White Hat's smaller brands which has since been superseded by newer and bigger ones.

  • 247Bet is the latest White Hat Gaming site and it comes with more features – a mobile app, more games, and a significantly better sign-up deal including 100 ‘no wager’ free spins on a Big Bass slot. The wagering requirements are also much fairer at just 25x the bonus plus deposit compared to 40x.
  • 247Bet has a very modern look and feel to it. It’s a slick site but if you want something more distinctive and slot-themed then Temple Nile is better.
  • Casumo is an independent casino built on a proprietary platform. It has a similar number of games to the White Hat sites but with the addition of exclusive Casumo-branded live tables. I also think that Casumo’s game menu is better with more options to search and filter.
  • Both 247Bet and Casumo have sports betting which is great if you want to partake in that, but if you want a traditional online casino without the distraction of betting markets, Temple Nile is a better choice.
  • All 3 sites have loyalty programs but Casumo’s is the best in my opinion. It is fully integrated with a progress bar indicating how far to go to the next level-up, and there are more weekly and seasonal promotions than you find at the White Hat sites.
  • If you want to start with a small deposit of under £20 then 247Bet and Casumo are both good options.
  • Casumo has more reliably quick withdrawal times. In testing some withdrawals were processed in minutes. The other 2 sites can process your payments in under 12 hours but may take as long as 72 hours.

Our Verdict

I found Temple Nile to be a safe and trustworthy casino from an operator whose platform I like. Key touch points of the service – registration, KYC checks, cashier and customer support – are all well managed with no snags. The site has aged since its launch 8 years ago but there is still a unique style about it that will appeal to both slots and casino fans. And I was particularly impressed with the game selection too. My one serious criticism would be those wagering terms which are just a little too high for me.  But apart from that, Temple Nile remains a great option for casino players in the UK.
