How We Review Slot Games
We test and rate all slot games across 5 criteria, assigning a score out of 10 for each and an overall score that is an average of the 5. To build an accurate assessment of each game we gather information from the supplier and play in real play or demo mode. Find out more.Jammin’ Jars 2 is the sequel to the popular Jammin’ Jars slot from Push Gaming back in 2018. The original was one of the games that helped raise the profile of London-based Push and alongside games like Fat Rabbit and Tiki Tumble, made them a favourite amongst high risk gamers looking for that ultimate hit of progressively big cumulative wins where all multipliers, free spins and wilds come together to produce some epic and unexpected.
This version is not too different from the first Jammin Jars – it boasts the same jam jar disco theme, only this time instead of a disco ball and strobe lights, we enter a colourful room where an 8×8 reel grid stands in the centre of the dance floor and a jam jar DJ, complete with Ray Ban shades, sits to the left on a stool. The room is filled with neon fruit symbols, lasers and palm trees giving it something of a laid-back Florida beach-club vibe.
The features are similar in both games with the cascading reels and cluster pays mechanic giving plenty of ways to win on every spin. But the main difference here is the top payout – now increased from 20,000x to a formidable 50,000x – which is enhanced to keep up with rivals like Nolimit City and Big Time Gaming who have no qualms about regularly putting out games that project this kind of reward potential.
And, of course, it’s the free spins round that you’ll need to unlock to get anywhere near that jackpot. The Giga Jar DJ plays an important role here, randomly firing giant fruits onto the reels to give more rewards and launching the Giga Free Spins where colossal symbols and multiplier wilds boost wins..

RTP and Variance
Our Score 8
What is RTP?
RTP (Return to Player) refers to the amount a game will pay out in cash prizes expressed as a percentage of all the money wagered on that game. For example, a 96% RTP means a game will pay out £96 for every £100 wagered. This is an average number and will vary from one session to the next. Read more here. What is Variance?
Variance refers to how far a game will deviate from its RTP over time. High variance games deviate a lot and produce uneven win distributions and unexpected windfalls. Low variance games provide a more stable and even distribution of wins. Read more here.It may be a colourful, happy-go-lucky slot with an RTP of 96.4% and a 10p minimum bet, but don’t underestimate it – Jammin Jars 2 most definitely has a high volatility rating. In that way it offers the same level of risk as its predecessor and won’t appeal to anyone just seeking a few casual spins and regular payouts. Having said that, although it’s a bumpy ride, the low minimum bet keeps it playable. And whilst the 50,000x top win is enticing, keep in mind that anything even close to that will be an extremely rare event – for most of us a win greater than 5,000x will be a thrill.
Symbols and Paytable
Our Score 8
The symbols in Jammin’ Jars 2 include an assortment of fruits, including watermelons, pineapples, grapes, peaches and blueberries. You need at least 5 symbols in a cluster to receive a payout. The best-paying symbol is the red berry, which awards up to 1,000x stake for a screen filled with 32 or more shiny fruits. Next along the paytable is the pineapple, followed by the watermelon. The blueberry offering the lowest reward.
The jam jar symbol is Wild, which means it can substitute for any other symbol to build a cluster. If the jar forms part of a win, it stays on the screen and moves to a new position, awarding a 1x Multiplier for each new payout.
Features and Gameplay
Our Score 9
Multiplier Wilds
The jam jars are Wild, adding a 1x Multiplier when they help with a combination and staying on the reels for the next spin. They keep increasing their Multiplier by 1x each time they form a part of a winning cluster.
Fruit Blast
The DJ fires a giant fruit onto the grid at random, which explodes to cover every position and awards an instant prize.
Free Spins
Landing 3 jam jar symbols will launch 6 Free Spins. Every jar that forms part of a winning cluster will stay on the screen and move position, awarding a 1x Multiplier when it forms part of a win. This can increase by 1x each time.
Gold Vinyl Symbols and Giga Jar Feature
Any gold vinyl symbols appearing on the reels are collected by the Giga Jar DJ, who increases your bonus level. 20 vinyl symbols will push you to level 2, increasing up to level 5 for 35 vinyl symbols. The Giga Jar Feature triggers randomly during the feature and 3 or 4 Wilds will be added to the reels in expanded sizes of 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4. You will also receive 8 Giga Spins, during which all Wilds stay on the reels.
The Final Verdict
Our Score 8.4
Jammin’ Jars 2 is a worthy sequel to the massively popular Jammin’ Jars. It holds onto the same look and feel with the colourful disco and fruity symbols, but adds extra punch in the form of bigger payouts and features. The DJ is a quirky touch, sitting on the podium ready to swing into action in the Giga Jar feature and launching Fruit Blasts at random. It’s fast-paced and highly entertaining in both action and visuals. The payouts are lifted to potentially 50,000x stake too, which is a big improvement on the 20,000x stake of its predecessor. The only concern is the high volatility, which means your bank balance can be stretched to the limit waiting for the prizes. If you enjoyed Jammin’ Jars though, you’ll love this even juicier reincarnation – it’s definitely an upgrade on the original and absolute must-play for high volatility fanatics this summer. Check out the disco fever at the start of June 2021!
