Alongside NetEnt, Microgaming are the most enduring of slot game developers, having been on the scene for more than two decades now and boasting a back catalogue that includes stone cold classics like Thunderstruck 2 and Jurassic World. In recent years they have spent more time working with third-party studios like Just for the Win which some might argue has led to a drop in game quality, so it’s nice to see them re-visiting one of their most iconic slots and plugging it into their super-charged progressive jackpot network. The good news is, the guys at MG have chosen not to mess with what works. So what you get is the same standard Immortal Romance game with the romantic vampire storyline, dark and gothic visuals and intense feature rounds.

Let’s start with the RTP and Immortal Romance: Mega Moolah from Microgaming is set at 93.4%. This is lower than the original game, but to be expected as a percentage of all money wagered is put aside for the network jackpot pool. Meanwhile, the win frequency rate is 31.21% and you will receive wins in almost a third of spins.

So, the game design is the same as in the original from 2011, which makes sense – the artwork is superb and when a game is this iconic, why change it?

Low value symbols are represented by the cards A through to 9. The mid-range and premiums are shown as candles, a haunted house, and the 4 characters of the story: Amber, Michael, Troy, and Sarah. The most valuable symbol of the game is Sarah, paying 16.66 x of the stake when you match 5 on a payline.

And just like in the original, there is an Immortal Romance Logo that is the Wild that subs for all other and also delivers up to 30 x stake for five on a line. Note that it will also double the payout when it forms a part of a winning combination.

And finally, there is the scatter symbol which appears in the form of the door knocker. If you land three of them on one spin, then you will open up the Chamber of Spins with four different rounds in it.

Wild Desire Feature

The Wild Desire feature is activated at random on any spin in the base game. As part of the feature, between 1 and 5 reels will become fully wild – i.e. all symbols are shown as wilds. The Chamber of Spins Feature
